Hotel was perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento, yet you can easily take the hotel shuttle into town. Beautiful views.

Great stay in Sorrento!
Great break - hotel staff very friendly and helpful Shuttle bus to Sorrento is very easy (can get busy on the last trips back). Hotel has good facilities sun deck and good sized pool for those relaxing days

For the price, it is excellent. We loved the comfortable bed, amazing view from our terrace, nice bathroom, buffet breakfast included in room price. The pool was great and so was the provided shuttle to downtown Sorrento which we utilized at least twice a day. There was a musty smell in the room and at times, sewer smell in the bathroom that we didn’t appreciate. We only had dinner at the hotel restaurant once but the food took so long to be served. Staff is very polite and helpful!

The property was beautiful and clean! The staff was very accommodating and helpful it was our first time in Italy (Sorrento) we had lots of questions and the staff never made us feel like we bothering them. The breakfast was also very good and lots of options to choose from! I will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends back home :)

Good for price point
La Vue D'Or was great for the price point. The shuttle and view were the main reasons we chose this hotel. The first day the shuttle was not working, which was a disappointment as a taxi to town was about 50 Euros each way. The breakfast was good. The view was the best thing about this hotel! There were no pool towels or towels to bring to the beach, which other hotels we have stayed at provided. Overall, 7/10.

A hidden gem in the hillside overlooking Sorrento surrounded by olive groves and lemon trees. Beautiful tranquil pool and the view is unbeatable. There’s an hourly free hotel bus to and from Sorrento (15 mins drive), the road is very busy so not really walkable for all, but the bus is an amazing service and honestly it was nice to be set away overlooking Sorrento. Can’t say enough good things about this small, independently owned hotel which oozes charm and character.

the hotel was wonderful. they had a great breakfast and the staff is really nice. the location is far from the city center so you have to take the bus to get downtown to the shopping district. there are a lot of sharp curves as you go down the mountain to get to the city center so beware if you get motion sickness.

Views are amazing, the rooms (and pool) are clean and the coach into Sorrento was on time and reliable. The staff were fantastic and so incredibly helpful. I cannot fault anything and If we return to Sorrento (and we definitely intend to) we would be more than happy to stay here again.

We booked it for our anniversary , it is not a huge hotel, far from the Sorrento central, they have a shuttle from the hotel to town and the other way, the biggest point of this place is the view, View, VIEW, you can’t take your eyes of the balcony and hotel truss, Resturant is glass all around and you would enjoy the view while you are eating. Staff (reception, restaurant waiters, cleaning ladies,…) so helpful and very kind. In total anywhere in Sorrento we were, although people hardly speaking English but they come take extra steps to make sure you understand what they meant :) I love it all

Excellent hotel hidden Sorrento
Amazing stay at Vue d’or. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The free hourly bus service down to Sorrento was great. I travelled with my husband and 4 year old son. It was perfect for us. It was far away from busy Sorrento to be peaceful by close enough to get in. Thanks!

Problem at checkin but had a good stay
Not a great start. At check in they gave us a double room when wed booked a 2 bed suite. Theyd given our prebooked suite to someone else on our 1st night. This meant us all having to share 1 room and not getting the room wed paid for on night1. After a 10hr journey not being able to unpack as we had to move rooms next day was a pain. We were refunded the price difference for that 1st night but no goodwill gesture was offered for what was a really annoying inconvenience. Hotel is very clean, pool area is lovely (our main reason for choosing it) & views of Gulf of Naples & Vesuvius are jaw-dropping. Quite traditional decor. Breakfast was ok, we ate in restaurant 1 night and enjoyed the meal. Free shuttle bus to Sorrento town every hour, apart from 3hr period over lunch. Walking down to the town is too dangerous as roads very windy & no pavement. Free parking. Staff were friendly enough. Would categorise this as a 3 star hotel.

This was a very good experience; especially the friendly staff and the history behind the main building and that it had been kept in good conditions. However, the lack of operation of the AC unit in the middle of a heatwave was a misjudgement on the part of the management; this was a very serious error and made our stay quite uncomfortable during the night.

Excellent hotel with a view!
Very very happy with this hotel-decided to stay up high for the view of Sorrento and it is well worth it. There is a free shuttle bus that takes you into Sorrento. This runs hourly in peak times. You can also walk down which takes about 30 min. Staff are excellent as is the quality of the hotel. The pool is also very clean, and a lovely spot to just relax.

Great service, great pool and sun deck looking out towards the bay of Naples with Sorrento beneath, you really do feel like your on top of the world and the adjourning donkeys and cockerels give this place an extra air of authenticity. If you want to chill all day away from hustle bussle and your happy to head out of an evening for dinner via the shuttle bus then look no further this is wonderful hotel and its also great value for money for this part of Italy.

I cannot say enough about how great the staff are at this hotel. They made our stay in Sorrento brilliant. They helped us organise multiple tours and helped us with restaurants and transportation. Breakfast was lovely with a great variety of foods. The shuttle bus is life saver - runs regularly which is very helpful. Thank you for lovely stay - we will be back! :)

Nice view. Room was basic and a bit overpriced. A/C was a bit weak but just about OK. Buffet breakfast was good and the pool was nice. Shuttle into town was very convenient.
