As a Professional Photographer, you just cant beat this fabulous hotel. From the the perfect location to the friendly staff and morning breakfast, EVERYTHING is top notch. Located near the Matterhorn lift, your views from your room and your balcony are just breath taking. There are a lot of places to stay in Zermatt but, The Garni Plateau Rosa is the ultimate value for you dollar.

Excellent hotel for skiers
The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the service was very friendly and helpful. The Matterhorn view balcony was amazing if you can afford the upgrade, and you have a similar view from the breakfast room. We really enjoyed the breakfast spread, and they had great coffee and cappuccino. This location is optimal for skiers. It’s a very short walk to the gondola to Furi, Schwarzsee, and on up (easy transfer to the Matterhorn glacier paradise when you want to go that far). After the first couple days when we had a long walk and bus ride from othe parts of the mountain, we starting taking the gondola back down when we were done skiing, and it was so nice and easy. We did have a 10+ minute walk to dinner each night, but if proximity to the slopes is your priority then this location is amazing. My husband noticed the bed was a little shorter than we’re used to in the US, so this could be an issue for really tall people. The double bed was 2 twin beds pushed together with separate comforters, and we appreciated the extra space.

Amazing place and a good value
If you get a room on the back of the hotel you have an excellent view looking directly at the Matterhorn. This hotel was reasonably priced compared to the competition, but offered so many amenities. The breakfast was included was a good spread. Bathrooms and rooms are modern and ultra clean. It is located a few steps from the Glacier Express gondola, so it’s a bit away from the town center, and the main station. However the hotels in the central part of Zermatt don’t have a Matterhorn view. This made a big difference for me because it was cloudy and the mountain only popped into clear view one evening during my trip.

Beautiful hotel near the gondola
Loved the place. They served a wonderful continental breakfast. They had a bar in the hotel lobby that was open until 9pm They offer a variety of pillows if you ask. They have a room for your skis with heated racks for your boots Would recommend it to my friends and family The Mountain View rooms have a balcony with a beautiful view of the gondola and the Matterhorn

Highly recommend for a quiet and clean stay.
Fantastic little hotel with very caring staff and in immaculate condition. Loved the healthy breakfast choices. Simply awesome view from the balcony of the matterhorn and surrounds. You can't ski in and ski out at this hotel as some people seem to imply. There is a short walk downhill to the matterhorn express and a return walk uphill to the hotel. Steps lead out from the ski room which is shared without lockers. We carried our boots up to our room as they were costly and new.

Cozy place with the best view in town
Just came back after an unforgettable skiing vacation in Zermatt. Woke up every morning to the most amazing view of Matterhorn touched by the first rays of sun. Enjoyed our stay in Plateau Rosa tremendously - nice room with the balcony overlooking the river and the mountain range dominated by Matterhorn at the center, conveniently located by Matterhorn Express lift, great breakfast, excellent service overall. Will be back for sure!

Beautiful hotel nearby cable car station.
Comfortable room with a clean, newly refurbished bathroom. Had a room with the view of majestic Matterhorn, words cannot discribe it! Very friendly staff, couldn't do more for you even if they tried. We didn't realize that Swiss plugs are different from the other European countries, not a problem, receptionist would supply as many as needed per your stay. Great breakfast, no one would go hungry there. Would recommend to anyone and most of all, would love to go back there!

Best Hotel in Zermatt
Staff went out of way to greet and help us at every turn. We got a room with the view of the Matterhorn, and boy was it worth the extra 60 francs. Very reasonably priced in comparison with the rest of Zermatt's hotels. There was an excellent breakfast available all morning. The location was choice; a little on the edge of town but no obscured view of the Matterhorn like 99% of the hotels in town. The shower was big and powerful. Beds were comfy. If you can pull yourself away from looking at the Matterhorn, the Swiss TV is pretty fun to go to sleep to. Location is right next to the cable car, as well as a rental shop. So getting up on the mountain is incredibly easy, and access to trails is right there as well. You have to walk or taxi down to the restaurants about 15 minutes, but walking through Zermatt is simply a bonus. It was never a problem. I loved this hotel and so did my girlfriend.

Plateau Rosa - Great Hotel - Matterhorn/Gondola
Best views of the Matterhorn on a clear day. Wonderful family run hotel with free train station shuttle upon request. Nice breakfast, newly updated rooms, and best spot to stay if you are skiing....literally a half block from the main gondola and ski rental. Highly Recommend. Great Hotel.

ゴンドラまで180歩のロケーション
フーリ行きのゴンドラまで近くて滑り終わってからもすぐに部屋には戻れていいが、その半面町まで行くにはちょっと遠いのでバスで行かなくてならない。そのバスも7時半ころで終わってしまうので時間を気にしながら買い物をしたり食事をしなければいけない。歩いて帰るつもりなら関係ないが。 こじんまりしているけど清潔な部屋。とても良い感じのスタッフで居心地はよかった。

Hotel Garni plateau Rosa
We were there fr our tenth wedding anniversary. A very warm hotel, located just in front of the ski lifts. Superbly run by a family team, good breakfasts made our stay very memorable
