Make sure you don’t mess up on your dates. They will not refund you even if you reach out weeks ahead and when you arrive that you will be leaving early. Even a day early. The balconies are slim and can’t put a chair straight on the 6th floor but the view is incredible. It has character due to its age but they are updating it. Pool is not heated and whirlpool is mediocre. But the benefits of the area outweigh all the negative. Have stayed here multiple times without any problems. Lots of fun just over the bridge.

Our room was in terrible condition. Rotten and cracked drywall, garbage and stains in the hall way. The kitchen cabinets were broken, bathroom door had a hole in it. Dish washer was full of poorly washed dishes. Even the dish wares were chipped and cracked. They gave us two pillows for a family of four. It felt like a Chevy Chase vacation. Everything metal was rusted. We had to shower in a broken jaccuzi tub, the shower knob came off too. Unreal experience. The washer and dryer in the hall had a “broken” sign on it and used underwear laying on top. The room was spacious and the lanai was very large but the resort was in disrepair and never updated since the 70s. Room condition did not match listing pictures.

The location was perfect. We booked for 3 people but when we arrived there wasnt any bedding or pillow for the pull out bed. Thank goodness there were towels as thats what our daughter used for bedding the first night. The room was dirty and the bed was the worst. With the location if the bed was comfy I would concider staying again. Considering its way outdated, even if the beds were just updated it would go along way.

Ok, so yes this property is a little dated...but who comes here to stay in their room all day anyhow?? The location and views from the room are amazing! The best part of this place is the amazing staff here! They are beyond accommodating and are more than willing to help with anything you could possibly need. We got locked out of our room after hours on a saturday and they came to our rescue!

Wonderful view and area. Friendly staff. Refrigerator did not work. Had to throw half of our groceries out and buy ice every day. That was a hassle for a vacation meant to be hassle free and relaxing.

The only thing good about this property is the location and scenery. In all my years of traveling I have never encountered a more dilapidated property. The unit is decades old and very depressing All metal in the place is rusted. Can’t hardly open sliders. Closet doors are rusted open. They give you a double bed that you roll to the center. It bounces and squeaks. It’s bad that the owners will not update but keep renting it out. Not to mention the very high square bathtub that you have to climb to get to an old shower

When you stay here you are staying for the location and the views. This property needs an update, but the new owners are already planning updates. The staff are wonderful and super helpful and help make this a place you want to stay. You can’t beat the views or the location.

All sheets and towels had what appeared to be blood stains, bathroom had mold, sliding balcony doors did not lock and one did not open well, tv did not work, ac did not work. Was told we could get clean linens as needed but when we asked we were told to throw them in the dryer vs giving us clean linens. Great view though!

We do not offer laundering service, but if your linens weren't clean when you got here that's a different matter. New linens have been ordered. If the AC of TV didn't work, tell our staff and we will fix it as soon as possible.Can I have your room number to look at the AC?

My son slept on the fold out couch and woke up to a cockroach crawling on him. Disappointed that Nordvind didn’t comp part of our stay. Now, that is the most prevalent memory of our family vaca for him. Nice beach access though.

Great, great location. Just cant beat it. Beach is right there, food is right there, loved it. I stayed in the twi bedroom townhouses behind property, needs some fixes but spacious for 4 and quiet for good sleep. Would definitely rent again.

This property/room is extremely old and run down. The best location. The beds or horrible and make noise every time you turn or sit on them, wakes everyone in the room up.

We stayed on the top floor. The view was the best thing about the property. The unit itself was completely run down and dirty. It says that it’s a one bedroom, but the accordion style doors were taped together and would not close. Broke tile baseboards were broken, gouges out of the walls, all of the furniture is 30 years old. Every time you moved the bed made so much squeaky noise that woke everyone up. The comforter was very old and had blood like stains on it and tears in it. Floors felt sticky when entering and when used towel to wipe they showed filth. The beach access was good and we stuck it out because we did not plan to spend any time in the condo but the weather ended up being cold and so it was hard not to be to room. Not upset with outdated…upset that everything was dirty, rough, broken, stained. It was very odd to see a place like this so rough. You get what you pay for but no excuse for broken and dirty.

Terrible maintenance
The facility is filthy, The cabinets and bowls and pots are unusable and health concerned. The bathroom is hazardous! The paint is peeling off everywhere and dusty in all the corners of the room.

Location, location, location. That's what kept us there. Couldn't be a nicer spot. Previous reviews mentioned that the facility is "dated". We decided the better term would be dilapaDATED. To confirm, we were in unit 304; we do not know what other units look like. But this one... needs much TLC. But it was clean, and the views were unbeatable.

Nice place FOR THE PRICE. Needs updated for sure, had a 1970’s stove in the “penthouse suite” Bed was so squeaky, woke each other up just turning over. Staff could do a morning walk over the property everyday instead of sitting in the office. Get the palm branches out of the pool, sweep sand off walkways, etc. When I did bring up an issue that needed attended to before other guests got upset, I was told she would let maintenance handle it the next day. Had to move us from the large room we paid for to a smaller room for our last 2 days with no offer of compensation or a real reason, other than “the booking sites don’t understand”. Had local teenagers come use pool after the staff left at 5. They didn’t seem to care.View was amazing, close to all the things we like to go to and do, pool was nice.

We're glad that your overall stay with us was nice but we do apologize for the need to move you between rooms and a lack of explanation for it. Our online rental partners' automated systems can't tell the difference between open nights in two separate rooms; they only see available time. This sometimes leads to booked reservations that we just can't arrange into a single room and we're forced to move a guest between rooms during their stay. It sucks every time we have to do it and we're sorry for the inconvenience.

Cons-The room and bathroom could use a major renovation. The tub/shower is like 3 feet high off the ground so you need to climb over the edge to get in. Mildew, rust, and mold throughout the ceiling, air ducts, etc...The blinds are broken, don't close completely or cover entire windows. Suggestion: Long black-out curtains would work much better. Pros-The appliances all work and all the kitchen essentials are there which was nice. Parking on the property is easy and close. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Elevator works. The balcony is big. The view is amazing!! Lots of palm trees and tropical landscaping surround the grounds. Just walk out the door and you are a few steps to the beach. The location on the beach is great! It feels like you are on a private beach. Nordvind is located within walking distance to John's Pass for restaurants and shopping. The heated pool and hot tub was great. They have extra camping chairs out by the pool that you could take to the beach. All of these things made up for what the room lacked in comfort.

Awesome view. Staff are friendly but apartment was outdated and not as clean. Heated pool and tub are great. The beach is steps away but we couldnt swim there as a tornado watch during our stay (that was scary). Renovations is a must for this beautiful location and view, Well worth the investment.

Overall this place was wonderful. I had ocean view it was beautiful waking up everyday to the ocean. And walking out the backdoor to the beach i didnt have to travel. That was a plus for me. Only issue i had was dealing with ants in the kitchen. It was a big annoyance i couldnt leave anything out on the counter.

Ok 1st toilet running. Coffee grounds in coffee maker. TV not working. They called to fix. Heat/ac had to be fixed. No locks on balcony door. Sand on floors couldn't get up. Was tired having people called to fix things. Don't get me wrong the office fixed everything right Way
