My wife and I stayed here for five nights for our ski vacation. The room was perfect for what we needed and the hotel is located only a few minutes away from the ski lift (walking distance). The hotel staff/owners were incredibly helpful and answered several of our questions (food/activities/transportation to Milan etc.) all with good humour and a smile. We also found the hotel to be exceptionally clean and well taken care of.

Abbiamo soggiornato tre notti all’hotel Crampon. Stanza pulita e di dimensioni consone, ottima vista sulle montagne, dal balconcino. Nell’ampio giardino è possibile ristorarsi all’ombra dei monti, sorseggiando un aperitivo. Buona la colazione. Personale gentile, disponibile e molto simpatico. Torneremo!

Room was really bright, clean, even with good view of mountain. This is one of the cheaper places to stay and we found if great for our skiing holiday. Breakfast is included and very good, staff friendly.

Family owned gem
Our stay was fantastic. The hotel owners and staff did everything that they could to make our stay enjoyable and were so nice and helpful. We had a medical emergency while we were there and they went out of their way to assist us and make sure that we were taken care of. Breakfast was good and the lounge area with a real fire every night was the perfect way to end the day! The level of cleanliness was extremely high as well.

Il personale è gentilissimo, sempre sorridente e competente. La camera e il bagno erano confortevoli e pulitissimi, così come tutti gli ambienti della struttura. La colazione è abbondante e con più che buona scelta, servita da personale cortese, sorridente e sollecito. La posizione è ottima sia per le escursioni che per una passeggiata nel centro di Courmayeur. Quando torneremo a Courmayeur sarà la nostra prima scelta.

Great stay before TMB hike
We stayed at Hotel Crampon the night before starting the TMB hike. We had a comfortable room and the hotel garden was a nice place to hang out after dinner. We couldn’t get the drying rack in the bathroom to work after doing some sink laundry but the service and the wonderful breakfast made our stay quite nice.

Ski solo trip
Very fiends hotel where the staff will do anything for you. I was skiing solo and was made to feel very welcome and they have a complimentary bus to the ski field each day. Perfect.

Extremely clean and well run hotel in a very central location. Excellent breakfast, transport to gondola, nice cocktail bar. Everything you need for a few days of skiing or hiking.

Albergo a due passi dal centro di Courmayeur!! Personale disponibile, cortese e simpatico. Camere confortevoli e pulite. Ci siamo trovati molto bene. Consiglierei e ci ritorneremo.

The room was okey, small but met the purpose. The staff was mostly friendly. Limited choices for breakfast, but quality was okey. Great location, 3 mins walk to the town center and bus station.

A lovely hotel on the edge of the pedestrian centre of town The room was spotless,comfortable beds,well appointed bathroom.Comfortable lounge bar. The staff were friendly and helpful and encouraged me to speak my stumbling Italian.Excellent breakfast buffet. Pretty garden with lots of sitting space. We would have been happy to stay longer.

Perfectly situated, clean, and plenty of space
This hotel is in a wonderful location in Santa Caterina. The rooms were clean and certainly spacious. We only stayed for one night, but we could have certainly stayed for longer. The breakfast in the morning was also fantastic and the staff were so friendly. I think this hotel is a great value and I'd certainly stay here again.

Great short stay
A very well run small hotel. Everything was well kept and spotless, the host was incredibly warm and helpful, and the breakfast excellent. We would definitely stay again

3 star prices but 5 star hospitality
Amazing hotel, highly recommended. Owners go out of their way to help you. Always laughing and always on hand. Very clean. Delicious breakfast with hot options. Shuttle service to ski lift. Apres ski bar service. Modern heated boot room. Large rooms. Control of heating. Fantastic value.

Fine hotel, with history.
Fine hotel, with an exceptional breakfast, and an interesting history. Named "The Crampon" because it was founded by the Grivel family, who also invented and continue to manufacture the crampon, an essential piece of mountaineering equipment. The current proprietors are granddaughters of the inventor. The fascinating story of the Grivel family and their mountaineering accomplishments is illustrated in the lobby.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff
We stayed here whilst having a rest day from walking the Tour de Mont Blanc. The hotel is nice, and close to the town centre. The staff were very helpful - for example we were able to have our laundry done within a few hours of arriving. Would definitely recommend!

Helpful pleasant staff and good location
Basic large rooms..... Not luxurious but comfortable and clean. Good location, very friendly staff and good breakfast selection. Parking available. A bit tight esp if you have a larger vehicle. Can walk to most things. Bus system available. Great biking paths around and great hiking for all ages. Gondola to Mont Blanc 3 on from hotel (parking there)
