Thanks for taking the time to review your stay with us. It is greatly appreciated as we aim to provide the best stay possible. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about the noisy neighbors, everyone staying with us is reminded of the building being old and wooden and the resulting clairaudience of the house. We could've talked and reminded that specific guest about noise and curfew if you would have let us know. We clearly state the room amenities on our partner websites and our own website and can not provide a fridge in every room. Every room has a hairdryer which is under the sink or in the drawers depending on the room, again, we could have pointed you in the right direction if you would've gotten in contact. We usually have staff at the house for cleaning in the morning/noon and our manager is around the corner at the end of the hallway and not running up and down the hallway all day long waiting to be seen, if contact is needed please call, text or email us if nobody seems to be around. We always have somebody on call and provide our guests with a mobile number to contact at any time. We supply a fresh set of towels and a change of bin liners etc. for guests staying more than 2 nights and are happy to make exceptions to what we feel is reasonable and economical if you contact us with a request, communication is key : ) We are sorry that your stay with us did not meet your expectations and resulted in an unusually low rating by comparison to our overall rating in Expedia.

Thank you for your review, we really appreciate you taking the time as it helps us to improve our guests experiences. Unfortunately we do not have the capacities that a bigger properties or a hotel has in terms of staff and entertaining. We usually have middle aged and older couples staying with us that enjoy their peace and quiet and their stay being self contained. Tea and coffee making is provided in every room. We do not have room to offer a reception or 24/7 service, however we are adamant to reply to our guests asap, and if one of our staff is at the house in the morning/noon for cleaning or office admin we are happy to help you with anything. The manager might not always be visible as the 'office' is at the back of the house and guests have to look around the corner/knock on the door at the end of the hallway to meet her. Lights for the bikes and flashlights can be found in the hallway cupboard with all the other supplies.

We explain the accommodation and room set up on Expedia, our own website and in the welcome letter we send out to guests prior to arrival. We explain that there is no room service and reception desk at the house but that you are welcome to text or email if you need anything, you did make use of that service and your towels were changed. Hi there, thank you for reviewing your stay with us. I am sorry you didn't get to see me. I am only working 5 days a week but make myself available over the phone on 7 days a week. On the days I am not working you will find a cleaner at the house from 10am till 2pm, happy to help you with any questions or queries. The code for the keyboxes will only be shared with the guest staying in each room upon request when they ask for a late check in or to store their key whilst on the beach etc. I am sorry that you were uncertain about this. Arcadia House is very safe and we never had any break ins or any incident of that kind. Kind regards, Rooney
