Our stay was very comfortable. Spa and fire place were beautiful. Supplied breakfast was excellent.. just bring a sleeping mask if you want a sleep in. 😊

An Excellent Retreat
Oak Tree Lodge is situated in a beautiful quiet part of Phillip Island. It is an excellent place for relaxing and going for pleasant walks. The Lodge is very well equipped and the supplied food for breakfast was more than ample.

The Gatehouse was comfy and cosy with the wood burner and the spa bath adding a touch of luxury. The location was also great, a short wander from the shoreline, but tucked away in a quiet street. The breakfast supplies were more than generous and very delicious. Overall a wonderful few days.

Wonderful experience
Second time staying at the oaktree lodge. Had a wonderful experience again at this place. The owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The rooms were absolutely luxurious, clean and comfortable. I think I’ll always try booking this place first whenever I go to Phillip Island.

Tout est parfait mais il ne faut surtout pas arriver une fois la nuit tombée La zone est dans le noir total le cottage n est pas éclairé et difficilement localisable Personne a l accueil... la responsable est à 150 kms de lá... Mais bon après 45 min de recherches nous avons atteint un joli havre de paix....

désolé d'apprendre que vous vous êtes perdu en venant des pingouins car il n'est qu'à 15 minutes en voiture, la plupart des villes d'Australie sont sombres la nuit car je ne savais pas que vous n'alliez pas vous enregistrer plus tôt, j'aurais pris des dispositions, mais à 22h30 la nuit, je dormais profondément, mais heureux d'avoir trouvé notre refuge

Gorgeous furnishings and ambiance in the Oak Leaf room, very snug, warm and comfortable in the cold weather and we like the way the different rooms connect. Lovely central location. Would have been lovely to have a bath, space allowing.

This was one of the best stays my partner and I have experienced. Although it was last year, it has remained with us as one of the most greatest and the most peaceful of places we have stayed. We recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway.

We stayed 2 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids under 5 years old just before Christmas. The rooms were very spacious and looked recently decorated. The ambience of the property was very relaxing and homely, making us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was very soft, allowing a good rest on both nights. Two beds were made up in the lounge area but were not really in the way and we left them in place for the duration of our stay without issue. The bathroom was a good size and had a nice big shower area with good water pressure. Breakfast consisted of a loaf of bread, several rashers of bacon, eggs, juice, yoghurt, and milk with muesli. This was a self service style breakfast, and we liked the flexibility on timing and how much to eat. There were a nice coffee machine and milk frother which got good use both mornings and made excellent coffee. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, glasses, and utensils and we never found ourselves looking for something they didn't have when we were cooking. The area is a quiet village-type with a general store a couple of minutes walk and several restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Anything else and you will definitely need to drive. There is room for one car per "unit", and they are located close by, typically next to the unit itself. Three units seem to be interconnected which would mean for bigger groups, you could combine three units but still maintain privacy in the evenings.

Situated in a quiet location the property is well furnished and tastefully decorated with spacious, comfortable rooms. Has a well equipped kitchen with a laundry close by. Outside sitting space with a short walk to the sea and jetty where you can find a couple of restaurants.

Personality and charm

Superb accommodation. Very well fitted out with super bathroom and kitchen (no oven but not a problem). Very near the sea and Phillip Island was a joy to drive round. Penguin Parade area is a blot on the landscape though - we went but the cars and hundreds, maybe thousands of people put us off so we turned away. Returning to the house was a pleasure though. Would like to stay a week.

* Great location on Phillip Island; close to the Rhyll beach and a quiet side of the island! * Stayed in the Cottage, which was separate to the other buildings. Had it's own parking space and entrance. * Amazing fit out and features. Look at the other guests photos, it is exactly that. * Very comfortable King sized bed with quality linen. * Huge bathroom with shower and spa bath with heated tiles. * Small Kitchen with oven and cooktop with breakfast provisions included. * Check out process was a breeze.

Fantastic weekend getaway
This was a last minute booking to getaway for the weekend. And what a great find. You could nit ask fir a mire delightful and tranqui setting. A very cozy guest house, everything that you would need for a peaceful relaxing break. Would have loved to have been able to stay a little later on Sunday morning prior to check out. 10am is a little early to have to leave. Sorry could not rate staff as we never met anyone, collected keys from lockbox and placed them back in the lockbox when we left.

Oak Tree Lodge is a special place to stay in Rhyll
The Boat House was ideal for a couple. Very comfortable accommodation with a great chair with a view in the lounge room. Lovely to go for walks along the waterfront with great fish and chips close by for lunch. The tour boat to see the seals leaves from Rhyll wharf.
