The Cottage was just perfect and felt like home. Loved it! the view from the back porch/verandah was magical. Everything about Tranquil Vale was perfect. The staff were fantastic, helpful and so welcoming. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Very quiet and pleasant surroundings. Great hosts. The free breakfast was delicious (especially the home-made jam and sourdough, and local milk/yoghurt) and very much appreciated. Everything was exceptionally clean. Will stay here again.

Picturesque location
A really nice, clean cottage at a picturesque vineyard location - friendly hosts (with friendly dogs!), and great selection of amenities / activities (BBQ, indoor wood-fire, outdoor pool, tennis court etc). Would definitely stay at Tranquil Vale again!

Loft accomodation
An excellent experience with friendly property owners who helped us find some amazing wineries to visit. The homemade sourdough bread with jam for breakfast was an added bonus.

Lives up to its name
Beautiful views, private and peaceful with wrens flitting around and rosellas in the vineyards, it feels as though you are away from the city. Close to the wineries and the Luskintyre Air Museum, with the occasional tiger moth flying over.

Lovely cottage close to the vineyards
The cottages are clean and have everything you need. Sleeps 4 comfortably. The pool is great and the owner friendly and helpful. The breakfast pack is wonderful. This was our 3rd stay here and we love it. It is close to the vineyards.

Home Away from Home with Benefits!!
Our stay here was superb from start to finish. We felt like we were an extension of the family who welcomed us and made our stay so comfortable. Baked loaf of bread everyday, fruit, milk, fresh OJ, selection of cold cereals, butter, jam.... Their dogs Jonas and Rusty being such wonderful ambassadors to greet us everyday as we returned. The salt water pool and refreshing way to lower the body core after a hot day of wine tasting, not to mention their own very personal tasting. Our loft over looked the vineyards and briefly made us feel miles from any worries. Thank you!!!

Amazing tranquil stay
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was beautiful the tennis courts, views, kitchen, amenities were amazing. Definitely will be coming back again.

We all loved staying at this place.
It is a beautiful place and the place had everything we needed it. The fire place was very nice touch. It is a bit of hike from Pokolbin but the place and the price will compensate the drive.

We stayed at Tranquil Vale for 2 nights during a conference and all of us loved the accommodation and the idyllic surrounding. Sitting there snug in the middle of the vineyards was lovely. The cottage was well stocked, clean and our host really helpful-exchanged a broken DVD player within minutes with no fuss. We stay at this beautiful place any time again.

Great accommodation in the Hunter Valley
We stayed for a weekend at Tranquil Vale and loved it! The cottage is spacious, clean and attractive with all amenities, and a lovely terrace area looking on to the vineyards - perfect for enjoying the complimentary bottle of wine which was provided. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We would certainly highly recommend Tranquil Vale and as there are three cottages, each with two bedrooms, it would be ideal for groups of friends/families staying as well. We hope to be back!

Tranquil Vale
Beautiful location a short drive to the popular wineries of the hunter and the main attractions, like Hunter Valley Gardens. The cottage was very comfortable for a small family of four with two young toddlers. The property was beautiful to roam around, also included a small cubby house and playground for the kids. There is a BBQ facility which has everything you need, including paper towel, foil for leftovers, insect repellant & citronella candle etc. You name it, they have thought of everything.

Cute, beautiful spot, Out of the way and relaxing!
We had such a beautiful stay at Tranquil Vale. It is in the lovedale wine region and the proprietor is very lovley helpful and informative! Our loft room was spacious, comfortable, clean and had coffee tea biscuits and cereal with fresh milk for us each morning. The room also had a toaster and kettle and microwave. We just loved waking up on the vineyard and the stars at night were absolutely beautiful! We'll be back!!!! suggest hiring a car to get here :)

Comfortable cottage
We had a great stay with friends and our 2 year old. The rooms were sizeable. There was everything you would need in a kitchen plus extras like oil, salt & pepper, tomato sauce, milk etc. The view from the whole living area was beautiful to wake up to & we very much enjoyed afternoons on the balcony in the sun. Would be great in summer as well as winter so we will definitely go back when we can swim in the impressive pool with views of the vineyards.

Beautiful spot to stay
We stayed three nights over the June long weekend, the place is just beautiful, such nice views of the vineyard and so peaceful. Well appointed living space and bedrooms, fitted five of us comfortably. Would stay agaihn. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the other vineyards, but not to far that your driving for ages. Really enjoyed staying at Tranquil Vale.

Great facilities and equipment
Great facilities with everything provided including tennis raquets, soccor ball, pool equipment, BBQ equipment, kitchen utensils etc. Great location for peace and quite with beautiful views. Good for families or couples. Enjoyable stay even though it rained most of the time we where there.

Beautiful spot in the vines
Stayed in a cottage with 2 couples, and what a fantastic cottage it was! Simple layout designed to take advantage of the rolling vineyard views with a large back deck and windows all along the back of the kitchen and living. What stood out the most was that anything you could possibly need was there, from the vegemite to insect repellant - it became a game for us to see what was missing! There was also a large variety of pool toys and tennis racquets as well, along with a small gym ensuring you wouldn't want for anything. Bill was an absolutely fantastic host, and was more than happy to dig out a cold bottle of white to enjoy by the pool which is always appreciated. Will certainly be back again!

The setting was good & the cottages were quite cute. It was very hot on the first day we arrived. The cottage was very stuffy but there was no air conditioning in the bedroom. The ceiling fan made a loud clunky noise all night and the room was full of bugs.

Perfect spot for families
We recently had a weekend at Tranquil Vale and loved it. Its a great base form which to explore the Hunter Valley and was an easy 20 minute drive to Pokolbin. The accommodation was lovely, with a full-length verandah and extensive windows looking out on the vines and out to the mountains. The cottages were positioned so that each had their own privacy. It was very clean. Cooking facilities were excellent, with a large fridge. The best thing about the Tranquil Vale was how welcoming it was to children. Our 2 boys loved waking up to see cows, running through the vines and playing on the playground. With the pool, tennis court,gym and the huge book and DVD library in reception older children would be very happy too. The gym was full of sports equipment for the kids to play with as well. We will definitely be back.

Quiet but close to everything
No welcome drink on arrival as advertised We felt a bit awkward when being told we were using the wrong BBQ. We were also told it happens all the time so we wondered why clarification on arrival is not provided. However the stay was lovely and located well--far enough away to get some peace but only a small drive to all the action. Lovely views. Wines on offer at property are very nice

A little paradise in the country
Tranquil Vale cottages are a little further north of the main Pokolbin area however just a quikc trip down Lovedale Rd gets to back into the thick of things. All 3 cottages have a private deck that looks out of the vines. The BBQ area is the best equipped and the cleanest I avhe ever seen. The cottages are also well equipped with most utensils and simple condiments, wraps, foil etc that you will need. However the kitchen does not have an oven so don't plan your menu to use one as we did. However we were able to compromise. Other than that our stay was perfect.

Great stay out of the hustle and bustle of town. 20 minute drive to Pokolbin, with wineries to visit along the way. Great relaxed atmosphere.

Just perfect.
Spacious villa accommodation with practically everything you would need. Feels like a home away from home and perfect for families. Surrounded by the most beautiful scenery including vineyard right at your backyard. Appreciated that it was just enough away but not too far from everything to really feel the tranquility. Really friendly owners and beautiful boutique wine and cellar. Simply perfect for a Hunter Valley getaway. Would go back over and over and over again.

Lovely peaceful setting amongst the vines.
Out of the hustle and bustle of Polkobin in a beautiful rural setting, its the perfect place to enjoy a fireside a wine and relax with a good book. We had a family celebration for our daughter's eighteenth and the two cottages accommodated us perfectly. Highly recommended.

Perfect week away
Yes, as other reviews have pointed out it is a 10-15 Min drive to Pokolbin, but we liked being away from everything. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, the view was breathtaking, and the only noise was the wind in the trees. Family friendly, kids had a great time too. If not for the allure of cheese and wine there would have been no reason to leave.

Nice winery estate
My partner and I stayed two nights in the loft above the cellar and it was perfect. Very quiet and relaxing place with heating in the room so was great for the cold nights in winter. We also enjoyed the facility's, playing tennis in the afternoon after a tasting on the premises. Definitely recommend this place!
