Hi Robyn & Tony Thank you for your review. We understand that we do have an older style building, but always talking to our Body Corp and committee and trying to upgrade the complex. As you were aware when you booked your accommodation with us, we are only a 3 stories walk up and unfortunately we can't do much about the stairs in the building and the steps up to the walkway. We were very aware that Robyn had walking difficulties, so in this case we had reserved a ground floor for you both. I also recall Trevor carried most of your luggage up from the underground car parking area and arranged to have your car parked right next to the exit doors leading to the apartments.Trevor had also mentioned that he could arrange a mobility scooter for Robyn if needed, but Tony you said you were both to proud.?????... "So Yes" ,its not all about taking money and our guests are definitely our No1 priority. We are always happy to listen to constructive criticism but by you having your own Motel Complex, we would have thought you could have been a little more realistic with your review about our complex and where possible its always good to talk to management face to face. We just like to explain how everything works around our resort and a few tips on eateries,public transport locations, local attractions, etc. We don't know why you wanted to purchase 7 days wifi if you only stayed for 3 days.Unfortunately because of our subtropical weather storms of late, this has brought out the small sugar ants.If you could have brought this to our attention along with the bathroom not having been cleaned to your satisfaction,we may have been able to have our cleaning and maintenance staff rectify these small issues for you. Hi Heather Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear that your daughter and son-in-law had a disappointing stay with us. Neither one of them ever gave us any indication that there were any issues with their apartment. We check every apartment straight after the cleaners have been through and again just before our guest check-.in, so we are very surprised that our cleaners, staff and management missed these issues. As we are not a hotel or motel and all our apartments have washing machines and dryer set up in your apartment laundry for your personal use. Hi Anonymous, Sorry your stay wasn't as enjoyable as we hoped. We try and good clean and affordable accommodation at a competitive rate. Its true that we only have a small outside pool and outdoor entertaining area, but we believe we are a small jewel in a big crown and walking distance to just about everything Surfers Paradise can offer. We also are a 3 1/2 star holiday apartment complex, not a hotel or motel therefore not providing daily serviced apartments. Basic starter items are provided as complimentary in all apartments such as dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets/powder, scourer and dishwashing sponge/cloth, toilet paper, guest soap, tea, coffee, sugar and UHT milk. If our guests require replacements or refills of any of these items we are happy to provide them for a small charge. We also try and provide a homely,relaxed and friendly atmosphere that the bigger resorts cant offer. We do appreciate your feedback and hope the small issues you have wont stop you returning to stay with us when next visiting Surfers Paradise.

We are sorry that you were disappointed with your stay. We are surprised with your comments concerning the burnt carpet. Our cleaner brought the burn marks to our attention immediately following your departure and commented that the carpet was also wet on those exact spots. It appeared that the burn marks had been wet and scrubbed in an attempt to resurrect/ hide the issue. As we have the same cleaner everyday and the carpet was only a few months old and un-marked previously it would have been very obvious had the prior guest caused the burns. It would also have been dry had the previous guest been responsible for trying to fix it up. We were also very surprised that (after telling us that you were a 'solicitor') you asked us what authorities you could report this to as you were unhappy with our decision to keep your security bond, which is taken to compensate for any damages to the units. You were informed that you could contact the Office of Fair Trading, as we did, concerning this issue. As far as we are concerned the matter has been dealt with fairly and is now finalised.

As you never left your name we unable to ascertain which apartment you were in.We pride ourselves on providing nice clean apartments to all our guests and again, it would have be nice if you could have mentioned this during your stay so we could have had our cleaners amend any concerns that you may have had.
