Lost on highway
The hotel was good, however I have one complaint not related to hotel itself. The hotel is slightly off the road and is difficult to see until you are next to it. There are two inconspicuous signs, one for each direction, that do not help the visitor find the entrance. A larger sign visible from at least 100 m would be a great help for visitors.

Stayed before its old but very clean and well maintained. has everything you need. Garden outside facing road beautiful and mqny places to sit and enjoy it . Worth the money.

Carpets old, room smelt and bed covers old, water pipes and fridge were very noisy. Bathroom was nice.

Price ok. Bathroom and kitchenette renovated but bed area not. 2 bedside shelves at head height were a safety concern when in bed. The bed was the hardest, most uncomfortable bed I’ve experienced in a while. Sheets etc very clean as was rest of room. Once you got the “screaming” taps right, the rain head shower was good. Sorry, but overall experience was disappointing due to the bed and next door shower screaming at 6.45am.

Thank you. We had everything that was important for us: clean and comfortable bed, clean bathroom with generous shower head with strong water pressure, electric blanket and air-conditioner.

Very comfortable bed with good bedding an electrc blanket. Good kitchenette. Good cleanliness overall however, the tv remote control was very dirty/unhygenic. The aircon unit very noisy.

Comfortable and clean and quiet ✅
This was perfect for our overnight stop over between Gold Coast and Melbourne. The room was comfortable, the sheets and bedding were very clean. The bathroom has been updated. It was quiet and we got a great night sleep. We arrived after reception closed and left before they opened, but everything worked out well.

Good basic overnighter
The bathroom is clean, the sheets are clean, bed is nothing special, good basic stay for the price, lovely french doors open to green grass and poplars. A bit of a hike from town but close to bunnings, no real food options in walking distance.

This motel is okay for a 1 night stay. The whole place needs a bit of a spruce up - garden very unkempt - fact that no one in reception to greet us only keys to room along with others on the front desk with our name attached. Dishes in cupboard not very clean...conveniently located though - not sure whether will stay there again

Key left in envelope on desk despite early arrival ie before 5pm. Only person i saw was cleaner next morning. Room clean but very dated. Bathroom door noisy as you have to use force to open/close. Can hear quests in next rooms clearly. Most beautiful gardens. Entrance if coming from opposite side difficult.

Extremely clean, comfy bed, the property and grounds were amazing. Very easy to park, Loved the shower. But very noisy. We could hear the shower and toilet of next door as well as the tv. The noise of the other people coming and going. There was no interaction with staff, the keys were left in a key box and there was only a number to call. The trucks and cars on the highway were also very noisy. But... The kookaburras in the trees and the lovely gardens were the highlight of the motel.

We have used The Poplars over many years which had become rather dated! HOWEVER the work done on the rooms is amazing with all the upgrades, Painting, and Cleanliness. It is a credit to the Staff and of course the Owners.

This was our second stay that week. First was good clean neat room. But Friday night we were put n the worst room. Bath room had hair o. Toilet and bath room floor drain full of hair and junk. Room was noisy from next door. The room was so small.

Value for money & clean.
Clean, comfortable & fairly spacious. Some traffic noise drifts across from main road, but reasonable especially if windows closed. Parking a little tight. Room was missing extra pillow & had a broken plug on electric blanket. But overall it was good value for money.
