That's a pure inaccurate statement. As I explained to you and to your friend- that also wrote the previous review earlier- Orbitz DOES NOT CHARGE credit cards. They are our affiliated partners which means that, eventhou the card info was provided to them, it gets automatically routed to us via the extranet and we are the one that debit your card. ORBITZ is just a booking partner and that's it. The issue was that once I tried to explained to you why we needed to debit your card you.did not want to understand the WHY eventhough I explained the above more than one time. Then, due to that particular issue, you gave us a 3 star review, even after acknowledging that the staff was great and it was a very clean hotel and that my friend , that is what really counts: a nice clean hotel with hard working staff.

No one spoke English... sheets and pillows are 10 yrs old and the owner (me) was rude to u and then talk down to you like a 5 yrs old. I wonder why a nice, decent and well behave customer like you will receive such a harsh treatment... Ummm.

Hello Thomas, Thanks for taking the time to write about us and your high marks in regards to the staff and their services. As per the TV, I was not aware any moment that was not functioning correctly because it is a brand new one. In regards to the room, yes, you may feel that it is a basic one but for $39 and $49- which is the cost- you get a nice ample size room, with a queen size bed, executive fridge, air, ceiling, fun and a dresser with mirror. But overall I am glad that you felt that the staff provided good services. Thanks Gilbert

Thanks for your review and appreciate your input. I can understand that you had some issues but sometimes I wonder why guests do not communicate those issues to us in present moment and while at the hotel because more often than not, it can be resolved on the spot and immediately making the stay more enjoyable. Now we end up with an anonymous review that we don't even know for which room and on which dates so we can fix the mentioned problem :-(

This customer credit card was not overcharged. He simply do not want to understand that once a person uses his credit card in a foreign country there is an international transaction fee based on the bank card out of our control. Additionally, the US dollars is not the currency in this country- the Dominican pesos is- and as consequence, all credit cards transactions made in this country must be processed in "dominican pesos" and based on the specific exchange rate for that particular date. Period. So, he was not overcharged. His final bill had the day current exchange rate. As per the other complaints, this customer never came to me during the 6 days he stayed with us or expressed any complaint. By the way, our cleaning lady is a SHE and not a HE as he erroneously expressed on his review. We are small hotel, only 10 rooms, including my own inside the building. So, all these issues were news to me and only surfaced after he received his final credit card bill - which makes me wonder!

Sorry that you felt that the room was not up to the standard of a $39.00 room- which was the amount that you paid for the booked one night stay.

In regards to the room... allow me to clarify the statement a bit... you are right, only a junior room was available upon your arrival and I offered you a refund for the difference in price. I also explained that it was due to the fact that at the same that that you were doing your booking I was updating our Expedia.com inventory which lead to that inconvenience. Anyways, I am glad that you enjoyed your stay and that you liked Toky, our new puppy. 

I am sorry you gave us a one star. Unfortunately your reviews does not include the reasons that lead you to that conclusion so I can reply to your concerns.

I don't understand why you did not feel safe at the hotel. We have a 24 hrs doorman and are located in the middle of the touristic area in the colonial zone which is very safe area.
