Owner is very friendly. Reservations were made online so literally had to walk in amd be directed to our room. Place is very clean and quiet with a lovely atmosphere. Would stay here again!

The owner's were amazing. The room was beautiful. Quick 3 minute walk to the ocean. Its about a 10 minute drive into town which we didnt mind. I would definitely stay here again and we will next time we visit.

The better half and I just got off a huge work project and with about a hour of research, we decided to go to the Collins Inn after researching on Expedia. First time staying at an Inn/AirBNB type place. At first, it felt strange to let ourselves into this big beautiful house and to be the only ones there. But the better half grew up going to Inns and Bed and Breakfast type places and she was all in. NICE. That is the main word I would use to sum up The Collins. Especially with how well they took care of us for our anniversary. Every little detail was thought out and taken care of. The lady who was working there while we were there could not have been better. Super nice and attentive. WE LOVED THE COLLINS. I have been going to Ocean Shores my entire life but always stayed on the main hotel strip. The Collins is on the backside of Ocean Shores and very secluded from the tourist-y parts of the town. The house is gorgeous. A huge house with so many different things in it to do right across the street from the beach. The Collins has that beautiful, awesome Ocean Shores beach aesthetic while also being a very upscale, beautiful inn. My favorite thing about The Collins [aside from the hot tub] is just how well thought out everything is. From the all day snacks and breakfast. To every little touch they add. The people who created and run The Collins are obviously big fans of this type of Inn and really worked hard to create their ultimate image of it.

I think that my stay would have been better had I researched better to find out that it was more of a bed and breakfast kind of set up. That was a surprise to walk into and felt like I had to be almost silent while while even just speaking to my husband after 6Pm as that is when the doors to the house all locked and there was nobody anywhere to be seen. The jacuzzi tub which was the main selling point, turned off at 10pm all on its own and we didnt get to use it again. All and all if this is the type of place you are looking for, It would be great

This was a very charming bed-and-breakfast type place. It was very clean and comfortable and the decorations were adorable. Breakfast was provided in the fridge in your room so you could heat it when you were ready. There was common space available for games or visiting. The hot tub and fireplace in the room were an extra bonus. Will stay here again.

Cabin 5 gets 2.5 stars
The first morning of our 3 night stay the kitchen sinks had bugs in them a few living a few dead. The second morning there were fewer but not great. The nightstand drawers were not assembled correctly and one side kept pulling out. On the middle drawer the connector piece was missing. The closet door was off on the right side. Cabin 5 looks nothing like the photos. Not bad furnishings, just very modern.

CharlieI'm sorry that we have rollie pollies when its wet and yes while you were here it was wet I'm glad once it calmed down a bit they all leftWe took the door off of the closet door on the right side so you have more room.I do agree we have a very modern cottage and most of our guests appreciate that. We haven't changed anything in that cottage so I don't understand that the cottage doesn't look like on line, maybe better in person is that what you are saying, brand new appliances and sofa and tv

Going to Rose's home was just what I needed. Managed to time the weather well. The Ocean air revives me, settles me, and energizes me. Property is well maintained and very clean, but homey. Can't wait to go back this spring.

Complete little house
Another nice stay at the quiet Collins Inn. We have been in cottage 1 and 2 both were great. They are like a complete home with all the household amenities. With the exception of your food and clothes you don't need to bring much. Damen Point agate hunting was the goal and we scored good.

My husband and I wanted to get away for a night and when I searched "rooms with jacuzzi tub" this beautiful place came up. The price was right and it was even more beautiful than I could have imagined. Rose is a delightful hostess and she and her husband take meticulous care of this property. We will bengoing back with our kids and staying in a cottage.

I'm sorry to hear that because roaches are hitch hikers they are not native to washington state. Did you happen to come from out of state or maybe the guest before you but will check into it

We stayed in the Whalers cottage which was very nice although the bathroom was very tight. I was disappointed by the pump soap, shampoo and conditioner inside the shower. All of these when pumped came out in a needle thin stream. I would have had to pump close to 30 times for enough to wash myself or shampoo my hair. I think some bar soap should have been available. This cabin was suppose to have a view of the canal but i never saw it... Other than these two things i thought this cottage was very nice and comfortable and very clean. The 2 chocolate chip cookies were a nice touch and Yummy! Thank you

A lovely property in a wonderful location if you want quiet. Room really comfortable. We only had a short stay but we will use again. Nitpicky issues for us=it took a really long time to get hot water in our 2nd story room,fridge kindof noisy, and the mattress pretty soft. But, again we will go back for longer stay.

We had a cottage with full kitchen, utensils, washer/dryer, TV with streaming services. Quick walk to Damon Point State Park, public beach entry, Oyhut Natural Recreation Area. Within 15 minute drive to the town. Laid back, quiet place. Not ocean side but can hear the waves. It can get warm, no AC, living room windows do not open. Wifi is adequate but not super fast. Although well maintained, there are a few nicks, scratches, holes in the walls. Walls are thin. No restaurants, shops within walking distance but a nice pub is nearby. No recycling or composting.

This place is a mess and a con
After being given a code to walk through the crowded porch to a side door, because the owner was out for the day, other guests laughed b/c the front door was open. Safe. Upon entering the front door it is made known that this is not an Inn but a home and the residents have a shrine to violence in the front complete with camo GI Joes, replicas of torture devices, and a mandate for residents to provide services to a member of the aristocracy. The room itself was so crowded with furniture we could barely walk around. There were wires sticking out of the wall and a dusty fan for temp control. The "view" was of honey buckets, dumpsters, and construction. Not sure why ads featues beautiful breakfasts, all they offered were Costco muffins. The whole place also REEKED of Febreeze or some other air freshener. Everything advertised was a lie, we felt very unsafe and so we left. It took about 30 minutes before I could breath again after the smell of this place burned my lungs.

JulianaI have been doing this business for 18 years now or I would have trembled when I saw all these untruth wordsI told you when I texted you in the morning that I was going to be in Olympia that day and you didn't respond so I thought maybe you would be a late check in and thats why I didn't tell you the doors are unlocked until 6:00And my shrine of violence is absolutely not. I do have Christian symbols in my house but I won't apologize for that.The room 2 crowded? Was it the jacuzzi tub or the King Bed or the 2 lounge chairs, the fireplace?Why would you take a picture out of the window at the back of the house instead of going out on the balcony and take a picture of the canal and beach.I don't always know whats in someone's pocket when they arrive and I don't want to know if they don't want to tell me so I won't ask what was in your pocket. But after 18 years and 1000's of guests you are a 1st time customer that ever did a review like this and hopefully the last.

Very nice room to stay in. Bed was a little too firm for my taste, however the rest of our experience made up for that. Awesome tub, shower, view. Had snacks available too, the room and drinks stocked in the fridge, which is always a plus. The balcony was nice with 2 seats to choose from. It was a pleasant experience, and we plan to go back. We were not disappointed even in the slightest.
