As an Inn-Keeper of two (soon to be three) properties myself, I believe my review below is well balanced and takes in to consideration cultural differences. Please note that I stayed with friends, so we booked two rooms. Here's my honest review:
Positives:
1. Clean rooms
2. Comfortable beds
3. Extremely friendly daytime staff (they always open door and greet you)
4. Location
5. Motorcycle parking
Negatives:
1. If you're sensitive to noise, you may have some challenges; room on first floor is right outside reception. Room on 7th floor is next to dining room (where breakfast is served); I personally stayed in both rooms and my friends stayed on 3rd floor. Beyond that, cleaning people tend to talk or yell loud to each other in hallways.
2. Hot water is problem. There's plenty of it, but the showers are either cold or very hot; you will get burned. They need posi-temp (like Moen brand or others) valves installed.
3. Night security boy (who doesn't speak english) gave conflicting information. When a friend visited me, I was told he could not park his motorcycle. Front desk person in morning said that he can.
4. Night security boy also told me I couldn't enter/exit after 1am; this as also clarified the next day.
5. Breakfast is very basic and one thing they could do to improve it substantially, is provide butter. Westerners don't usually eat bread without butter or perhaps jelly/honey. Coffee is like mud.
6. Watch-out for overcharges for water, etc.
