My little family enjoyed our stay at this resort! The pools and spas are great and loved how local it is to mall and beach. Can’t wait to stay again!

Was perfect for the kids as there was a great pool and very close to the beach and playgrounds. Only thing for me as my mobility is compromised I could have done with a ground floor apartment instead of a third floor one

We really like the location of this property, directly across from Pacific Fair, and walkable if you want. Parking is great and the pools are fantastic for the kids

We loved the room size and location of this property. We could walk to the beach, playgrounds, shopping and restaurants. The facilities were clean and there was plenty for my 2 young kids to do while we relaxed in the sun.

A faire en famille
Etablissement ideal pour les familles, il est securisé et propose un jacuzzi de grande capacité. L'appartement etait correct, il manquait de place sur le balcon pour y manger. La personne a l'accueil a été tres efficace et a répondu a toutes nos demandes.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Breakfree. The pool was fantastic , heated so can use it anytime. Loved the spa as well. BBQ facilities were great too. Maybe adding some outdoor heaters in my that area would make it more usable during cooler nights. Close to the beach and shops. A couple of small issues. No pool towels in apartment so had to use bath towels the first evening . When we asked for pool towels they didn’t have any so we were just given more Bath towels. There was some mould on the blinds in the living area in the apartment we stayed in and the dishwasher had not been cleaned in a while. Some extra garbage bags and dishwashing supplies would be great too.

Improvements required
Pool area was great. Kids loved it. Good location and friendly staff. Rooms require some maintenance (door handles falling off, carpets stained, and water leaks). Our first stay we had some cleanliness issues but they were very responsive to feedback so we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and book to stay again. Our second stay the cleanliness was good through the living areas and bathrooms but all curtains and fly screens (internally fixed) were covered in an extremely thick layer of dust leaving the rooms where you sleep smelling musty and it was difficult to breathe. I had noticed the curtains were the same in our first stay but nowhere near as bad as our second stay. We won’t return as a result of this.

Wonderful place. The two large pools and a BBQ area were a really nice area to relax. The staff we friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Our two bedroom apartment was very old and run down. The rooms had a bad smell and sliding doors wouldn't shut properly. Bathrooms were not clean with the top of the fan in the main bathroom that had years of build up dust. This is not good and would have a lot of bacteria on. Pool area was lovely. would have liked the water temp a little warmer for the time we stayed as it is winter. The apartment was very expensive for a run down place. Safe wouldn't open when we arrived after hours to collect keys.

The pool area was fantastic, kids loved it so did we. The rooms were okay, need a bit of maintenance and repair work, but liveable. The main issue was the construction next door, it was directly behind us, and actual construction woukd start at 6am. But the workers talking and yelling started at 5.30am. Very hard to stop a 3 year old from waking up. Wish we had known extent of this before booking

Pool area is brilliant for kids. Vacuum didn’t work, DVD player didn’t work, foxtrot diff shot work. Paid for 5, no towel, no bedding for 5th person - late Check-in due to a Covid lockdown. Tried to change dates with Wotif - no communication from them after phone request.

Extremely disappointing level of care and hygiene throughout the whole apartment. I have sent photos and written to the manager but no response....I expected nothing less. Considering we are dealing with a global pandemic I would expect higher standards. Not ideal for family or a relaxing getaway.

The apartment is promoted as refurbished with contemporary furniture, the images did not come close to matching the actual interior. Very tired interior. Not cleaned to a high standard, food and sand under the couch etc. There is currently construction of two towers going on next door so not so peaceful. However I understand this isn’t the fault of the apartments.

Check in was easy and fast with very friendly staff that accommodated our need for 2 car parking bays. Pools were amazing. One cold, one heated and 2 hot tubs, so perfect for all weather across the day. Room was clean and well stocked with kitchen essentials/towels/extra pillows blankets

For a deluxe apartment that was renovated, it felt a little dated and tired. Apart from the floors, main bathroom and kitchen benchtops, everything looked original. The mattress on the bed in the master bedroom was a joke. The springs on one side of the bed were broken and poking through the mattress if sat on the edge. This could cause serious injury for someone if it isn't attended to. The shower for the en-suite could have some attention to remove signs of mould build up. All sliding doors need new rollers and they were actually very difficult to lock up. The facilities were great as we have stayed previously and the location is perfect away from the hustle of Surfers, but the convenience of good beaches, restaurants and Pacific Fair.
