The area is nice and the room was basic, but the customer service was TERRIBLE! I have never met hotel service desk employees so rude in all my life! From the moment we checked in, to the time I tried calling for the receipt I never received, these “front desk employees” were beyond rude. I was even told to “adjust my tone” over the phone when calling about my receipt. I would NEVER stay here again, and I will tell anyone I know to never stay here. I’ve traveled all over the world and never had such terrible service. Members of my party were told the FREE bottles of water were $5 a piece when I wasn’t there. The lady who checked us in constantly gave us dirty looks every time we walked by. They were unhelpful in everything we asked, knowing we had never been to Chicago before.
However, the other staff members, cleaning, food, etc. were all very nice. If they could train their employees to have customer service skills, this would have been a nice stay. However, as long as they have RUDE and disrespectful service desk members, go somewhere else. It’s not worth the headache.
