Excellent stay, ocean view perfect.Room abit tight w a king bed. Bathroom small. No restaurant or bar. This motel has a motor lodge feel, but outstanding ocean view w beach makes up for room size.

This was our 4th time staying at the Hawthorne and we plan on returning next year. The location is excellent for so many reasons, i.e, scenic, walking, shopping. The staff is most accommodating and pleasant.

Lovely
Wonderful location. The view of the ocean was breathtaking. Hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Only thing snag was the cable was out, so no TV for the period we were there, not any fault of hotel.

This quaint throwback inn was refreshing. Not a lot of bells and whistles. However, those were not missed because the room was quiet for rest, substantial in space, outstanding view, and simply comfortable. In terms of cost it was more expensive than we normally prefer but definitely in line with other Cape Cod/Chatham properties. The staff and managers are outstanding. Grateful we stayed at The Hawthorne Inn.

The area is nice and is walking distance to downtown. Room was clean. We had no view. The beach is really small and not well kept . The blonde female who checked us in was not friendly at all. She was eating at the desk so not very professional. One picnic table near a dumpster. It is a 2 star motel - no restaurant, no pool, no activities. You are paying for Chatham location. In my opinion not worth the money.

Sadly our stay wasn’t the best. We found a bug in one of our bathroom towels and the walls are paper thin. However, it is a decent place to stay right on the water for a quick trip. The staff was friendly and the beach access was the best part.

Best place to stay in Chatham for the money. Chatham is a very high end town and most hotel/motel prices reflect that. The Hawthorne isn't anything fancy, but it is very clean, staff helpful and the sea view rooms have a fantastic view. Short drive or walk to Main Street. Would definitely stay here again!

Super clean motel
Stay was great. Had to stay another night because no Ubers on a busy weekend to get to airport so schedule a car:). Place is great, on beach, old school vibe but super clean!

The outside sea view ambience was delightful sitting in their lounger chairs at the end of the day or to see the sunrise. Everything was well maintained. The room had free water bottles and delicious coffee. Would have liked a microwave. Two chairs in each fairly large room. Nice bathroom - may have been recently renovated. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Beach walk to Fish Pier to see the seals swimming about. Great venue for walking around Chatham, driving north to Provincetown or taking either the north or south coastlines. We did a lighthouse driving tour. A few nice restaurants in town too. Get breakfast at the bakery. Definitely would go back and stay. Thank you.

The place was exactly as advertised. It was clean, convenient and the owners were very attentive and helpful with recommendations and addressing anything we needed. I would highly recommend.

The private beach was so quiet and my kids had a blast looking for shells and crabs! The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay special.

The Hawthorne is Wonderful!

The Hawthorne is by far one of the very best in Chatham. It’s location cannot be better…on Shore Road, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and Lighthouse Beach. One can enjoy sitting in the lawn chairs watching the boats go by or reading a book. We have been going there for 4 years and never tire of it. Cleanliness and the rooms are top notch. We’ve already booked our trip for 2022!
