I had nothing but problems at this place. The sheets had stains. When I first arrived at around 6pm there was no one at reception, they had apparently left for the day. The people living next door had to come over and call the person to return for check in. I had no idea if/when they were coming back so I went to get dinner and thankfully someone was there when I returned. The man took me ypstairs to my room and told one of the guys to move to the top bunk and give me the one on the bottom but didn't even change the sheets or anything. The electrical outlet by the bed was black as if it had blown up. The next day the guests in that room had a friend join them so the lady working that day asked if I could move to a different room so they could all be together. I didn't mind this at all, I'm totally cool with moving so the friends could all share a room. The next day, however, a different lady was working reception and apparently no one told her that they moved me and she got really mad at me for sleeping in the wrong room and told me I had to stay in the bed that they had just given to someone else. I tried to explain what the other person tolde to do but we had a bad language barrier. Luckily the other lady returned shortly and explained what happened to her and apologized to me for making a mistake moving me to a room that was going to be full with a new reservation that night. I guess my original bed was open again so they moved me back.

これまでの旅人がなぜこれほど高い評価を付けたのか理解できない。 一番の問題は朝番で来ている従業員が相部屋のシーツを取り換えないことだ。個室の方のシーツは毎回取り替えているのだろうか?かなり疑わしい。私は一週間いたが、その間彼女が床に箒を掛けたのを一度も見たことがなかった。相部屋の収容人数は二段ベッド二台で四人となり、大人数ではないという点に私は目を附けて、期待してやって来たが、外れを引いてしまったようだ。広さが9平方メートルあるかないかの部屋に無理やり二段ベッドぶち込んだようなもので、大型旅行鞄を広げると足の踏み場もない。極端に狭いうえに、ロッカーが一つしか使えない。無責任なバックパッカーが鍵と一緒に立ち去ったか紛失したらしく、二つはカギで閉められたまま、一つは開いているが鍵がない。唯一残っていた最後の鍵付きロッカーを長居する私が運よくつかえたような状態だ。ロッカーが使い物にならないと分って、着くや否やロッカーが使える別のホステルへ移動していった女性がいた。朝食は目玉焼きに小型バゲット、或いはインスタント麺に卵焼きを落としただけのものが出る。建物がまだ新しいから救われているようなもので、清掃は真面目に行われていない、といった印象だ。朝番以外の他の従業員は問題なさそう。とにかく全体的に狭いので、個人的には不満はないが、快適性に劣るので、他の評価が高いホステルに行くべき。特に相部屋を取るのは止めとけ。ネット接続は安定している。近くにはバーや食堂が目白押し。周辺の通りは、ヨーロッパ人バックパッカーのたまり場になっている。共用の御手洗いも狭苦しく、シャワーを浴びると便器がびしょ濡れになる、という東南アジアにありがちな構造になっている。《タンタン》という名前に惹かれて、ヨーロッパ風のホステルを期待していたが、期待外れだったようだ。

Mucho más que un hostel

Bien podría pasar por hotel, este pequeño hostel es mejor que varios de los hoteles en los que me he hospedado, la habitación es bonita y funcional. El personal es muy amigable e intentan ayudarte en todo lo posible, en especial Tuan que nos ayudó muchisimo, él habla un correcto inglés .

Modern but still good value for money

긍정적: very modern, pancake breakfast very nice, could book day tour, good amenities, friendly staff, great value for money!!
부정적: The rooms were quite cold (it was cold and rainy outside) the washrooms get wet after shower
위치: loads of great restaurants nearby. Walking distance from Imperial Citadel
Modern new hostel in the bustling tourist street. We booked a private room for 2 nights but something was wrong with the room so we had a dorm for the 2 of us on the first night. The dorm beds were hard even in Vietnamese standards and the blankets were thin (it was pretty cold) but I could sleep well. There are lockers in the dorm for each bed. Bathroom was clean but small, so it gets easily wet after a shower. Hot water takes a little while to come on once the geyser is turned on. Hair dryers can be borrowed from reception. The private room was a lot more comfortable, thicker duvet, bit bigger bathroom. They provide hand soap, but bring your own shower gel. I tried to warm up the room with the A/C, with little luck. Breakfast is freshly made, they also have a same-day laundry service for 30K/kg which was brilliant and we could also borrow a small umbrella. Luggage can be stored on a small shelf in reception area. Staff are nice and helpful, I could also book a Perfume River Pagoda tour for 200K. Great value for money considering the location, I would recommend this hostel.
