Thekkady is a great place to visit due to the Periyar Wildlife Park and abundant spice plantations. The hotel staff were very happy to organise transport and activities. The hotel itself is in a nice location up in the forest but is perhaps a bit tired.

The property was beautiful and well maintained. The infinity pool was the star. The spa was also amazing. Few things need to be upgraded but other than that the resort is amazing with stunning views and yummy food.

The Cardamom Club was a great experience. The pool was fantastic, the spa had great staff and the massages were extremely relaxing. The chef made excellent food and the whole staff, including Ashok and Indu and others, were really accommodating and helpful. The staff is a great asset to the property - everyone is friendly and provided help with anything that came up. I would highly recommend the mountain view cottage and the massage spa!

Oasis of tranquility
Very much enjoyed our two night stay. Great to be in the middle of the rainforest and hear to cacophony of bird song everywhere. Attention to detail was very evident and the Manager Himadri was first class. We enjoyed a two hour walk up a nearby mountain accompanied by a delightful staff member Ragu and enjoyed a 360 panoramic view over the bordering National Park. And the other standout was the kitchen with excellent fare and worked on an a la carte principle. So very pleased not to see yet another buffet! Thanks for a memorable stay.

Beautiful location and great food
Location and food very good. However road Leading up to the hotel was tortuous, the last part was closed for repair making access by car impossible, this kept us fit a d we saw lots of wildlife a d interesting culture. The disappointment was the staffs lack of knowledge an inability to help with park safaris or other activities. Poor WiFi was another disadvantage. Aspired to be 5 star but could not provide the expected 5 star experience.

NICE RESORT
WE BOOKED THIS FOR OUR HONEYMOON AND WE LIKED THE RESORT. IT WAS BIT AWAY FROM THE MAIN CITY CENTER AND AWAY FROM CHAOS SO WE LIKED IT MORE HOWEVER IT COULD BE BIT TRICKY TO FIND IT ON THE FIRST DAY. THE ROOM WAS VERY GOOD. WE GOT GINGER ROOM (ONLY HAVE 6 ROOMS). RESTAURANT AND FOOD WAS GOOD. THE RECEPTION STAFF AND THE MANAGER WERE REALLY FRIENDLY AND NICE. ONE STAFF MEMBER IN THE RESTAURANT WAS BIT RUDE TO US WHENEVER WE INQUIRED/ASKED WITH HIM. MUST WATCH IS KATHAKKALI! CITY CENTER HAS MANY GOOD RESTAURANTS. THE RESORT DID NOT HAD SWIMMING POOL WHICH WAS VERY BIG NO NO BECAUSE IT WAS REQUIRED TO SPEND TIME WELL.

Sleeping inside the forest
The retreat is small but really really nice, a hidden pearl in the middle of Thekkady forest. Staff extremely polite and helpful, the cottage are lovely and very spacious. Restaurant and extra services a little bit expensive.

Great vacation away from city
1) Great location - away from city center 2) Only 6 rooms and the staff gave personalized service and attention 3) Hotel restaurant's food was excellent - again they were able to customize the food - our son is allergic to tree nuts and they took care of that very well 4) If you are looking for constant and high speed connectivity to internet, that could be problem

Awesome Hospitality
What bowled us over was the warm hospitality of the staff. They made sure we were comfortable. This property is a bit off route, surrounded from 3 sides by periyar tiger reserve. The cottages are tastefully done and food was just awesome. Highly recommended.

“heaven in the jungle”
We stayed two night in this hotel and were greeted by a very friendly and professional staff. They gave us a very personal experience, took us out trekking. I would recommend this to anyone that want's a great experience with excellent food and very nice venue. Very clean and well maintained hotel.

Green all around and smart inside
We stayed at Niraamaya Cardamom Club for 6 nights and it was a very satisfying experience. The staff attitude and helpfulness is one of the best I have ever experienced in all my travels - they were tuned into observing and attending to every request and need without being intrusive or loud. The menu is an interesting mix of Continental, North Indian and Kerala cuisine with emphasis on Kerala cuisine, naturally. Though it's not an extensive menu, the quality and presentation of food was of high quality.

在森林中的現代別墅，整個度假村只有不到十個房間，非常清潔舒適，如隱世桃園，浴室是半露天的，透自然光的天窗，設計非常好，對客人服務細心，有Wi Fi，但只限房外的公共空間或接待大堂內，餐廳水準高，早餐不錯，spa只有一個房間，不能同時服務兩位客人，要等．免費的香草園行，有職員帶領，可行到山頂．別墅遠離其他景點及餐廳，要有出租車才可方便出入．非常享受一晚的寧靜住宿，推薦！

Nice cottages for a relaxed holiday.
This hotel is situated in between the lush greenery of forest. We always wanted to spent some days in such type of location. Food is awesome. All the staff members are very polite and helpful. Overall an excellent experience.

Fantastic personalized service in the woods!
The hotel has just 6 cottages. So, each guest is important and gets personalized service from highly motivated and service oriented young staff. It feels like you're in the middle of the forest which is great. So, you're close to nature and enjoy the environment. Food was great and we could order anything we want for breakfast and it was complementary. My wife enjoyed Kerala spa. It was difficult to find the hotel. So, we called the hotel and got the address. It was 2.5 KMs narrow road from the main road but it was fine since it takes you close to nature and gives you great experience.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at
I can safely say that Niramaya is a perfect hotel. Firstly all of the staff there are amazingly helpful and friendly, they even provided us with packed breakfast to go after knowing that we will miss breakfast due to our tours - which is unheard of - other hotels would just simply say "there's nothing we could do". Next up, the food in the hotel restaurant is simply out of the world, 5+ stars. Room is great and I love the open bathroom. Breathtaking views and scenery. Quiet surroundings and lovely small villages with friendly locals. DEFINITELY recommend staying there!

Like family
Big thanks to Vinu, Ajin and Manoj for making us feel so welcome and comfortable! Excellent free refreshments and fritters, in room wifi and overall design and style of the hotel. The guys even packed us a great breakfast to take with us when we went on the Tiger Reserve border hike. The plantation tour at the hotel is really worth it. Only the hotel restaurant can do with improvement, we tried several meals and they weren't great. We will definitely be back and send our friends there!

Only 6 rooms; peaceful, clean, relaxing Wish we had stayed longer and been able to use the Spa Staff was wonderful, as was the food Located up a very long road and driveway; up an away from the main road, so make sure you are up for a little seclusion

Perfect stay in exotic environment
Absolutely gorgeous setting on private estate adjoining Periyar Nature Reserve. Very welcoming and attentive service. Beautifully decorated units, extremely clean,WiFi, etc. Food was prepared to our liking.

Superb service
The location is 7km outside of Kumily, but that's the only downside. This is an excellent resort with good facilities and fantastic service from the friendly staff.

Secluded relaxing boutique stay
It took us a while to find, but the hotel was amazing, a very secluded boutique offering where all the staff go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and at home. We were a little nervous about our choice booked entirely during an internet search for accommodation in the area, and on one we spoke to knew about this place. We were thrilled with what we found and would like to have stayed longer. The accommodation was fabulously clean and stylish, the natural bathroom amenities the best we have had in a hotel (I have worked in the industry for 15 years and personally hate how harsh and chemical full most are); the hotel restaurant was also the best we experienced in India. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, we felt sad to have to move on to our next destination. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Hotel far away from Thekkady
The hotel is not located in Thekkady as advertised. It is located 15 km away from Periyar Tiger Reserve in a remote village. You have to drive through a very narrow and dangerous road uphill to get to the resort. The resort staff states that Google map does not work-this is because they provide the address of another resort by the name of Cardamom County which is located near the Tiger Reserve to attract people but these 2 are entirely different resorts. The room was clean but hot water does not work. Food was extremely costly, they do not provide any accommodation for drivers. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, we felt we were cheated by providing false information.

Exzellente Lage zum Entspannen und tolle Mitarbeit
Absolut super und sehr empfehlenswert! Wir würden jederzeit wieder dorthin. Sehr empfehlenswert ist auch eine kleine Wanderung durch die eigene Plantage am Rand des Urwaldes.

comfortable stay, great service
greatest positive factor is the extremely co-operative, pleasant and friendly staff. they really made our stay comfortable. rooms are very well appointed though we felt the bed room area could be a bit larger.. open to sky bathrooms was a scary experience. Negative point is there is not a single recreational activity.. no swimming pool, no kids zone, no garden..resort is away from the market area and it becomes a bit boring with no activity .. laundry and food rates are bit very high.
