View around and from property is very nice. Unique. WiFi infra is very poor. Only one restaurant and nothing close by. Remote location.

Amazing getaway in the mountains
Boutique hotel with beautiful view - fresh air and absolute silence in the middle of the nature. Super friendly and helpful staff. New and comfort rooms. Free room service, restaurant serve food 3 times during the day. The only minus - noise isolation between rooms was very disappointing. About 3 hours driving to the tea plantations (to travelers attention - there are massive road reconstructions in whole Munnar area).

Weekend Getaway
Excellent resort with one of a kind view. Me & my wife stayed there for 2 days. This resort is not located exactly at Munnar, but at Rajakkad side near Kallimali viewpoint overlooking the Ponmudi reservoir. Munnar town is about an hour away. So it was not as cold as Munnar but very pleasant weather. We really enjoyed the stay. Only suggestion is to improve on the breakfast buffet spread.

Amazing views and setting
We had an amazing stay at the Ragamaya resort. It is a bit out of the way from the other resorts, but that's also what makes it amazing - as it has one of the best views ever and is very calm and peaceful because of it's setting. The staff were lovely and wonderful as well, and recommended a local tour down to the lake, which was also a highlight.

Awesome place with a great view
Situated pretty far from the Munnar city, it's very peaceful and has a very scenic view from all the rooms. A scenery you can stare at all day long. Rooms are pretty good and well maintained. Pros: Location Scenery Peace and calm around Cons Not much to do in the resort other than the pool n spa They had mountain bikes but weren't enthusiastic about it themselves and told its not a big thing, wel leave you 3 kms away from here and charge 500 per person

Lovely location far from the crowd
I was unsure of my decision on choosing Ragamaya until I checked into my room, especially the fully glassed in view of the valley, with a balcony beyond. A view that is worth the long drive. The room was comfortable in all aspects and the bathroom had natural light,which was good. Pros:- sensational view from balcony (standard rooms) Toiletries were excellent ( don't carry your soaps) Hot water at all time Excellent staff who look into your needs immediately Good food quite reasonably priced (fish curry and fish wrapped in banana leaf) You don't feel overcrowded ( you can be comfortable in any type of attire) Cons:- the resort is quite far from Munnar, many are not aware of it to ask for directions(keep a couple of hours extra for the travel to the resort) Several activities can be planned, especially for teens) Cable goes on and off frequently(DVD's will be appreciated) Swimming pool is small and only 5 ft deep) Families with small children have to carry snacks with them because shops a quiet far

Even better than the pictures!
We booked Ragamaya partly based on its stunning pictures, and it turns out the resort and the valley it overlooks look even better in person. The staff is courteous and helpful, the rooms are great and the food is nice, if a little mild in flavor. The location while picturesque, is a bit away from Munnar and some attractions - so plan on driving to get around. We would definitely visit Munnar again and Ragamaya remains a top contender to stay.

Excellent Ponnmudi Lake facing rooms
My family wanted to enjoy a summer vaccation in a resort. I was browsing for a good resort near munnar and found this ragamaya resort and spa. Though this is 29 Kms from munnar it was an excellent ride and location for our family. The location was very good and the lake facing rooms are very good. Though we were vegetarians the breakfast and the dinner were really good and tasty. For children the small swimming pool as really good. Really enjoyed the 2 nights stay out there. Staff are welcoming and helping.

Stunning views but isolated
Lovely hotel with amazing views, however, there are limted activities at the hotel and there is not much near the hotel. Note this hotel does not offer any alcohol. It is a great place for unwinding and just relaxing.

Average . The resort is very far from the local sight seeing . Food is bad. They donot have half the things described on the menu. They are also short of staff in the kitchen . Service is slow and poor. The bathrooms are badly designed . You can see spider webs in the shaft next to the showers. They can definately do something about the interiors of the bathrooms . Moreover they were so many ants in the bathroom.

Very Nice Place to relax and spend quality time
Small property at excellent location. All rooms have excellent lake/ valley view. You can spend hours sitting in the balcony sipping that hot coffee. Highly recommended for newly married couples to escape from the crowd and have some beautiful time. Note that it is far from Munnar (30 kms) and will not recommend the place who has limited time to see spots around Munnar. It is a place meant to go and relax with family or friends. Liquor is not available as it is of 4* category and the new Govt. norms allows only 5* and above to serve liquor in Kerala. So, recommend to take your own stock in case you want to party with friends. The approach road (1km) is at very bad shape and Google shows the route wrong. So the last leg you will need to ask locals. Try to reach the property within day light unless someone knows the route throughly. Overall I have nothing to complain as the place is worth the little pain you would take to reach there.

Nice Valley view
Stay at Ragamaya was really a nice experience. Awesome view of ponmudi dam and also a very calm and relaxing stay. The only problem is the road from Anachal and the road to hotel (1km under construction) which is little bit uncomfortable. Rest the stay is very good. Small park is good for children.

Misled by Hotels.com
I was very disappointed in my recent trip to Ragamaya Resort and Spa. The hotel and staff were very nice, but I feel incredibly mislead by the listing on Hotels.com. We decided to visit the resort for two days of relaxation at the spa. We weren't told until we arrived that the spa wasn't open. Had we known this we would not have booked to stay here. The hotel is in a very remote location. I think it should have been made clearer when booking, as it took over 4 hours to reach the hotel from Kochi costing us £50. Due to the remote location guests are restricted to dining at the restaurant buffet. Again, I believe this should have been clearer in the hotel description. Finally, despite it saying in the description that alcohol isn't available on the first of the month, in fact, alcohol isn't served at all. The Hotels.com description was incorrect and had we known this we would not have booked to stay here. Due to the above problems we ended up leaving the resort a day early so as not to waste precious time on our holiday. I'm really disappointed in our experience and would like to be refunded the full amount of our stay.

The highly remote hotel with a gorgeous view
Firstly I would like to point out that Hotels.com gave us WRONG information regarding the hotel. They never informed us that the hotels spa was shut for renovation and the website says its 13 kms from city centre when its actually 30 kms. and if you consider the state of the roads, it feels more like 50 kms. This was a big big big let down. The property being very remote, lacked staff, cleanliness etc. However since its relatively new it wasn't all that bad. The extra bed apparently was stored in the open and they had to change it like 3 times. once it was wet, once it was full of ants and the third time it was very dirty. The hotel said they were unable to even arrange for a masseuse in lieu of the closed spa and the property being as remote as it was, there was nothing to do except see the beautiful view. This was the one bright spot. The food wasn't quite good too and the chef was very helpful. Initially they were apologetic but then as we kept finding more faults, they ignored us. The bathroom had a leaking toilet which was not attended to.

Perfect place with amazing view
In the middle of nowhere, on a hill above a lake, in a scenery like painted, this private hotel with only 20 rooms is gorgeous. All rooms and the restaurant with lake view balcony. Perfect massage at Spa. Thanks for organizing the jeep tour to the tea plantation at the border of Tamilnadu, more than 2.000 m above sea level and the perfect sea trip on the lake. An amazing place!

Spectacular location perched high above a reservoir, great views. Staff friendly and attentive. Possible activities include fishing, biking, visiting an adventure park, or just relaxing with great views. It's worth mentioning that Ragamaya is really quite remote (e.g. even Munnar is a one hour drive), hence one is reliant on motorized transportation/a guide provided by the resort to explore the region, relatively little can be done in the immediate vicinity and on foot.

Spectacular views, but not a great hotel
This hotel only has one thing going for it: the stupendous views from all the rooms and the restaurant terrace. Otherwise, the place is quite noisy (during peak season) because of very poor sound insulation in the rooms and on the expensive side for the location and amenities. The staff are genuinely friendly though and go out of their way to make the stay pleasant.

Superb Distination.
Excellent place for a holiday. Had a lovely trekking experience. Only the approach need to improve. The outdoor rides are little overpriced. Need to add ATV rides to the outdoor activities.

A comfortable hotel with a gorgeous views!
This is a great medium sized hotel tucked away in the forest and the wilderness. The rooms are well appointed and the balcony offers great views of the mountains and the reservoir down below. The sight is incredible with the clouds sometimes covering the lake and the mountains - a breathtaking view to behold. One can hear the birds chirping all the time.

Idyllic location
Exotic picturesque location. All the room balconies overlook a river meandering through mountains. Early morning, the view of clouds floating over the river was breath taking. The staff is very good, caring and give you that personal touch which one rarely gets from hotels. The manager came to see us off right up to our car. The quality and service of the food was great. However, the hotel is away from main Munnar and a stretch of the approach road is Kuchcha.

Very good rooms but 35 Kms away from Munnar. Very good view of a lake but very little near bye. Very small swimming pool almost of no use. Expensive for what it is.

Outstanding and unique location
Stayed in the two bedroom private cottage with private pool. Nice for families but try to get the cottage or rooms with a view of the reservoir. Overall, the facilities were very nice, new and clean. Bathroom was large. The food on site was quite good - good buffet selection for breakfast and dinner (with some Western or Asian food options although the emphasis was on Indian food). Staff is friendly and very eager to assist, but it is clear the resort is quite new and they are still adjusting. Took a long walk/hike down to water - highly recommended. Would consider boating as the reservoir is very quiet and secluded. Keep in mind the hotel is about a 45 minute drive from Munnar - which may be problematic if you want to visit lots of sights close to Munnar but makes it an ideally secluded and quiet get away.

Nice hotel, Spectacular view and peaceful location
Fantastic view and nice clean comfortable rooms. Food was excellent but staff seemed inexperienced, probably because the hotel is very new. We had a fantastic day around munnar, lots of good sights and things to do are nearby but the hotel itself feels peaceful. I would definitely recommend, the view from the room is best I've ever had!

Fantastic stay
The resort is just wonderful ; a paradise on earth. The location and the beauty of the valley below is great. Food good and service and staff all very friendly. Negative is the approach road along a jungle track so would be ideal to contact hotel staff who can arrange for pick up from Munnar bus stand.

Best Resort in Munnar
I visited this resort in the first week when it was launched, few things were undone due to issues on Tamilnadu Border due to Jailalitha arrest. All there hotel staff and material got stuck there. Still with 5 staff members they managed the resort and a full house of guests. It was commendable. In about a month, this hotel would be the best hotel in Munnar. Away from city near view point. The View from hotel is comparable to amazon forest view. Rooms facilities equivalent to a 5 star hotel. No doubt recommending this pace to others.
