Dear Megan, A tad disappointing for us too...to read about your not enjoying certain parts of your stay..specially breakfast. I thought I had this sorted out..but think again. Will certainly see how it can be made and presented better. The fish have more water now...I have ensured it immediately after reading about your pain in this matter. The Birds however will have to continue in their protective bird house or they will be simply devoured by predators. I am sure you don't want to be called out as the person responsible for the gruesome death of a dozen birds...? The value for money is also a subjective matter...and in my opinion it changes from person to person. Dear Guest anonymous, Firstly, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused to you while checking in. Much of it is seen as the result of Government rules which prohibit any foreign national's entry in to a hotel without valid visa and passport. The Front office manager can either ensure that this happens or look at the possibility of a jail term. After reading your narrative I had a word with Mr Galvin in which he asserted that he never used the "quoted line" but only insisted that the check in will be possible only after valid ids are provided for each individual. I am not going to call that "unprofessional" because his very profession depends on insisting on ID's. See, for those who left India years ago India is still a lawless land where all whims and fancies of outsiders will run. Not so. Things have changed drastically here. We too have rules that are to be followed like in US or any other part of the world ..even stricter. The result of that is the relative peace enjoyed here. It is not a banana republic that some consider it to be to their dismay. In short all the rules that are followed everywhere and a little more are expected to be followed here. Like it or not the guests and hotels have to fall in line. Its for national safety and not for our individual pleasure..! I wonder how a seasoned tourist like you attempted to by pass this system. On my last trip to US we had to fly in and out of several airports within US. Most of the time I noticed that me and my group were taken aside for additional searches while many were seen sailing through the security points. Now this is a clear case of discrimination and I could vouch never to return to US again though I hold a prolonged visa to the country. Or I could take all these in a stride and enjoy the beauty of such a fantastic country. Personally I chose the latter. Best regards,

A couple of goals were already in place before we even started work on the hotel project and topmost of that was "build a hotel with international appeal". Your remarks are a kind of culmination to our most important objective and who else but a person of your stature to affirm it. Uncompromising quality always comes at a price. But the surprising fact is that there are many out there in the same price point who don't deliver even half as much. Dear Guest anonymous, This is the most extraordinary feed back I have ever read in my 3 years of running the PG...! Of late the Kerala culture has come to mean a thatched roof/ old worn out tiles, poor infrastructure and a lot of hype. Having traveled around the world we learned that what the guests primarily need is an all around comfortable stay with state of the art amenities.Our amenities include 2 heated pools..2 world class restaurants, wellness ayurvedic spa like no other..ultra fast free common WiFi...even a Helipad. If we have left the local culture behind while providing the guests all the above..so be it. Just to let you know that we indeed had a detailed Onam celebration - two days prior to the Onam day- for the sake of the staff who want to be with their families on the day of Onam. And let me also tell you what happened on that day. A couple of guests came out to participate in the revelries and another guest came out to complain that the celebration was noisy..and they are here at the hotel for peace...! Now what would you do here..?
