The Oakwood Inn is first rate in every way--perfect location, beautiful inn (we had the entire third floor), amazing grounds, delicious food, and gracious hospitality. We would highly recommend a stay with Bridget and Bill. Plus, they are pet friendly for a small fee.

Lake Okobogi gem!
A wonderful B & B located in the heart of the Iowa Great Lakes region! Nice, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast served daily. Park like grounds in a quiet area. Highly recommended!

The best hotel for relax and rest
Thats a amazing place full of history,excelent ubication,owners are very friendly,try the guest like they own family,everything clean ,in perfect condition,i was in 5 stars hotels before and this dont have nothing to envy one of them,quiet and clean ,great gardens with outside areas,plenty of green and nature near the city but you can feel like you be in another time far of the stress of the city,recomend 100 percent ,a inforgetable experience,history,nature and confort together to bring to you a awesome experience

Bridget & Bill are wonderful hosts and always willing to help with anything around the inn or make suggestions for off the property. The property itself is lovely as are the rooms. It backs up to a nature area with paths right up to the inn property for walks or bike rides. The property grounds are beautifully landscaped with several large sitting areas. Each room also has its own outdoor table & chairs. Bridget’s breakfasts are truly something to write home about! All in all, a great place to stay.

This lace is wonderful! The owner was very nice and was often checking to see if I needed anything. The yard is gorgeous and there are a number of long nature paths close by. The whole area is gorgeous!

I love the peace and quiet of this charming bed-and-breakfast also loved that it was adults. Only the rooms were beautiful and spacious and the food was pretty good too. Wonderful Place to Rest and Relax
What a lovely place to stay! From the fresh cookies and warm greeting we received upon arrival, to the clean and inviting accommodations, to the delicious breakfasts, to the quiet and peaceful surroundings, we felt delighted by the opportunity to come away from our busy schedules and rest and relax. Bridget and Bill went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! We appreciated the list they provided of favorite local sights, restaurants, and shops - we visited several and they did not disappoint!

A Lovely Stay
It was a lovely trip. It was our time at the Oakwood Inn and hopefully not our last. The rooms are more hotel-like (neutral decor, have their own bathrooms) very comfortable and well appointed. The property is beautiful, the breakfasts were delicious, and the hosts were very kind.

This was a very unique and cute experience. It reminded me of a Hallmark Christmas movie. The homemade breakfast was amazing. The owners were so nice. I didn’t realize before that there would be a quiet time, but that was fine. It was difficult that we couldn’t make our room cooler and the bed should be replaced. But it was great otherwise and I enjoyed my stay.

Plastic is an enormous problem in the world. Please install refillable containers on wall in the shower/bath to use and stop little individual plastic shampoo, conditioner etc. Other than that, the place is perfect.
