5 stars for beach proximity, location to excellent restaurants, vista views, room cleanliness, lovely pool and balcony bar. 1 star for condition of the room/bathroom, bedding, dingy towels, large space beneathe door showing daylight and odd service at front desk & at breakfast. The older front desk man was not friendly, never inquired about our experience while checking out, no smile, only wanted to radio maid & make sure we left room in satisfactory condition.

January 2024. The staff here are very lovely and kind.The pool was clean & nice and deep although only 2 lounge chairs for the whole hotel. Do not bother with the all included breakfast. It was terrible at best making us not want to order anything else out of the onsite restaurant. The beds were extremely hard but the location was absolutely perfect. Just a quick three minute walk to the beach.

I really liked how the hotel look like a Hacienda, but it needs to be updated…it would of been nice if it had a fridge inside the room. The bathroom sink has a crack and it leaks, other than that it was just ok… the swimming pool was nice the staff was very friendly .

The hotel is well located close Madeira beach access. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very basic, but who spends much time in your hotel room when you are in Zihua.

Spent 2 weeks here, comfortable and close to the beach. Staff was friendly and housekeeping was helpful. Shout out to Anna who always made sure I had plenty of towels. Breakfast was good and pool was very nice.

safe deposit box full of 1000s of ants. room was close to dining room so was noisy. too high priced for a single occupant. liked the old time feel of the area

The staff are wonderful. They work hard at keeping it clean. Beds are hard and the frame creak.

The hotel needs some work, could only have a cool shower no real hot water but okay as it was hot weather. Issues getting towels each day, some days lots other days had to ask as they took them away but didn't replace them. The staff especially in the breakfast room were very friendly and nice, helpful even when there was a language barrier. Not fancy but it's okay.

Last minute find, great service but needs TLC.
Cute place, nice pool and bar area upstairs. Wifi only worked in lobby, not in rooms as the online description stated. Breakfast was pleasant, and service was very friendly. Our room had leaks both in the sink and the shower; which made for quite a slippery/messy and potentially dangerous situation. We told staff about it right away but nothing was repaired during our stay, so we had to improvise, using the bathroom trash bin to catch the water under the sink, and had to mop up the floor after showering with sopping wet floor mats and hand/face towels daily. Made for a lot of laundry since we try to be more eco-friendly and typically don’t replace our towels daily. Beds and pillows were a bit lumpy and our windows didn’t close shut. Lots of storage in the room for clothing and there was a lot of hot water which was a very nice redeeming quality. Just needs some TLC/maintenance, otherwise a nice place with easy beach access.

Wonderful choice
Hotel Zihua Caracol is a wonderful choice in terms of its price-point and location. It is convenient for both the main waterfront and also Playa La Ropa, while being quieter than places in the center of town. It is not on the beach, which I prefer because of quietness, but it has superb views and is really only 200 meters from the beach. The included breakfast is great.

Muy buen servicio amabilidad de parte del personal del hotel muy rico su desayuno y todo muy bien el cuarto y lo económico lo único malo que no dejan pasar al hotel hermanos de ellos para bajar más rápido a playa o sino disfrutar de una vista del mar sentados en los camastros.. pero de ahí estuve muy feliz en la estancia de una sola noche con ellos la verdad lo recomiendo todo muy bien

Las fotos q publican en su página no corresponden a la realidad, no había agua caliente se aviso a mantenimiento y nunca lo corrigieron, el miércoles lo vio x la tarde lo vio y en una de las habitaciones tenía varias goteras y lo único q hicieron fue mover las camas y amaneció todo el piso mojado, el aire acondicionado no funcionaba, para servir en restaurante a la hora de la comida se tardaron en servir unas hamburguesas más de una hora, por estas situaciones deje el hotel un día antes.

la recepción muy bien, nos recibieron antes del horario, el hotel es básico pero puede mejorar en la limpieza y mobiliario, recomiendo pulir los pisos eso ayudaría a no verse tan viejo, las puestas son muy antiguas, todavía con perilla y una llave vieja, ayudaría un cambio de cortinas, por lo menos en la parte baja primer piso son viejas y muy claras, no se puede dormir pasa mucha luz. el restaurante bien, la comida muy rica, lo que pedimos a la carta bien.

Me gusto mucho su terraza que correspondía al restaurante, la comida estaba bien y en buen precio recomiendo la pizza de carnes frías, el desayuno bufete que venia incluido también me pareció bien así como la alberca, mi hijo se divirtió mucho ahí. Lo que no me gusto mucho fue el trato que tenía el personal con los huéspedes, de una manera muy x´s por así decirlo, nos toco varias veces tener detalles con esta cuestión.
