Room had a musty smell and everything is very dated. It was clean. Heating vent was rusted and dirty. Had a considerable amount of snow and parking lot was not plowed. Luckily I had a 4x4. Would I stay here again? It won’t be my preference but in a pinch, sure. Would have liked a state tv station to see the forecasts and conditions. But only get national stations. It says a free breakfast in the ad but only has coffee and somewhat stale bagels

Not the most welcoming, clean, or quiet place. Staff tried to up charge me for additional guests (booked a 2 queen room for 4 people) and pet fee. The free breakfast is refrigerated, saran wrapped bagels, with green apples. The location is great, centrally located, but I'd find another place to stay in the area before ever booking here again. There are better options.

Reasonable for the price
A very cost effective place to stay, especially if you ask for a room facing the serene river and have a pet. Very quiet at night and the bed was confirtable.

The facility is very warm and has a sense of home to it. The owners are amazing and make sure you are happy and comfortable. A very nice stay.

This is very basic, no frills lodging. The two ladies that work here were both nice and very helpful. Room was basic but very clean. Nothing but a bar of soap was in the bathroom. However, I asked for some shampoo and they immediately provided me with some. Price was more than fair for the area. One of the best things about staying here was being able to walk across the street to the Red Fox Tavern!

Owner, Helena & her daughter kept place very clean, neat & nicely decorated. She had coffee, tea & fresh bagels for the morning. There’s a lovely sitting room w fireplace, a working grill & chairs outdoors overlooking the river. Helena is very sweet &accommodating. We enjoyed our stay.

The front entry area is very nicely decorated. The breakfast was limited and there were only three small dixie cups and 1 plastic cup in the room. There were no amenities. The owner is rather curt. Her daughter was more helpful. Also limited electrical plugs with many extension cords.

'Do not stay at this property! I have stayed here a few years in a row and the property has become totally run down. Worse than the physical property is the attitude of the staff; they don't care if you complain but instead tell you that the hotel is the most inexpensive in Jackson. There is a reason it's inexpensive. The hotel needs to spend money on physical improvements. It's dirty with peeling paint. My Room had a terrible smell ( they seemed to be trying to cover up a worse smell with some type of strong smelling poison). The lock on my door did not work possibly because the door was warped and could not be totally closed.. Worse than the property was the staff. When I mentioned the smell to someone at the front desk the response was basically you get what you pay for, as if the price justifies the terrible smell. When I was leaving and taking my luggage outside into my car, an older woman (staff) started screaming at me to shut the door. She could have asked me to please keep the door shut but instead she asked me in a very nasty & sarcastic tone whether I had doors at my house and whether I left my doors open. This woman should be flying around on her broomstick ( just in time for Halloween) threatening Dorothy and other wizard of oz charactrers, not interacting with customers. Do not stay here , you will be sorry if you do. There are plenty of other clean, hotels in the area where you will not ber subject to abuse.

Hi Matt, please stop booking here if you don't like our place. Your room has been updated. It had a brand new king sized bed which you were upgraded to, after you booked a queen. You had no respect when you were here, and we didn't appreciate your constant nit picking. Other customers understand that we are an older motel and love coming here again and again with no complaints.

The room was extremely outdated which I could take but the rug was stained and very worn so I would not walk barefoot. The two chairs were the same stained or worn. The slider looking out to the river was very cloudy so not easy to look thru. The towels were dingy. The bed looked clean but the sheets were a strange material, almost like a protector. We bought sheets and towels because I'm that freaky. The bathroom did appear to be clean and a little more to date. Would not stay there again. The owner was nice. It just was not the quaint motel I thought it would be based on the pictures online.

Wifi didnt work on anyone's phone, just the Mac. Curtains didnt block out outside porch light. Beds were old squeaky. It was clean. Close enough to walk into Jackson. River out back was charming. Price was right.

The Inn serenely sits on a scenic babbling brook. I can't say enough complimentary statements about the young lady who checked me in and then came back out to my room and tutored me several times on how to operate the TV controls. She was the epitome of Customer Service.

Quiet and relaxing.
Very nice and private. Also very quiet and away from the busy resort and touristy North Conway. A quiet place you would hope for in NH. Very nice back yard where you can sit by the river, read and relax.

Stay during the week with the wife. First there is no pool like the pictures show and in the description. However the service we received was great, it’s a nice location with a river and burn pit outback. The bathroom we found very nice great water pressure and plenty of hot water for us. The room was nice but I’m guessing from late 70’s . Room was clean except for some dog hair that was left on that we didn’t use. The outside of the building needs some love, ( paint, clean up , etc) for the price this time of year in the North Conway area was a good deal.

The owner passed away fairly recently and it's sad to see the property go downhill, but it has. Swimming pool empty probably for years. No A/C in apartment section. No services including no coffee or breakfast. I wish them well, but will not be staying here again.

We are just getting started. I am the owner and I did not pass away. There is a shortage of pool technicians throughout the entire state. If you wanted AC all you needed to do was ask. I would have put it in for you immediately, and which I did after you left. The season just started. We do have coffee and breakfast in the lobby. You never asked, just complained about the weather and left after I wouldn't go out to dinner with you.

My opinion is that you avoid this place at all costs. When I arrived the check-in person claimed that I had not paid the taxes or the property fee, which my receipt from Orbitz showed that I had paid over a month earlier. The person required cash, and would not accept a credit card. I have a receipt from the property showing this "balance due".

The hotel has a clean river at the back whick xan be viewed from the room. There are also picnic tables and seats near the river. The 1800 century wooden covered bridge is just a few meters away. A nice restaurant is across the hotel for lunch or diner.

A inexpensive alternative that is on the river however it’s not much more inexpensive than other hotels and the rooms are fairly outdated. The Wi-Fi would not work or I could not log I’m not sure which. Ice machine was also shut off. Property owners seem to want to save money more than provide for guests. Overall it’s not bad as a value stay.

Absolutely terrible! Specifically, the hotel owner. I booked for 3 nights through Expedia which advertised as dog friendly. Hotel advertises a $25 per pet per night . Hotel owner yelled for my party to leave the hotel immediately because we had more than one dog. She continued to yell and act aggressively demanding that we leave immediately. Asked to be reimbursed for the remaining 2 nights and she proceeded to pepper spray me. I filed a police report with the local police. She then charged my card an additional night fee for the dogs to which we did not stay. This is a classic bait and switch situation that when you ask for a reasonable refund on the nights you paid for and did not receive, the owner escalates aggressive behavior to get you back on your heels and depart immediately for fear of what she will do. Do yourself a favor….bypass this hotel! It will save you much aggravation, especially when you are trying to enjoy a much needed getaway.
