Wonderful historic old style lodging on a quaint main street, have stayed here before. Common areas are kept very cold, meaning hallways etc. Room was very cold upon check-in, but eventually warmed up using in room heater. Shower drainage was very very slow causing buildup of water in its shallow tiled pan, was not able to notify staff of this as there was nobody available when I checked out. Dining room/bar menu is eclectic and extensive, cocktails delicious, but the food items I had were just average, nothing special (though the homemade sourdough bread roll amazing). Perhaps other items would be more memorable. Upstairs hallway morning coffee, tea and a couple takeaway breakfast items were lovely and very convenient. The 2 to 3 folks I met on staff and who run the place were all quite nice. Will no doubt be back despite a few shortcomings.
