Honest review
Had a good one night stay. Amanda greeted us and checked us in. She was friendly and informative. The room was nice. However some updates could be made to this hotel. Just more of an update to the decor. Mattress and pillows could use an update as well. One thing that needed attention was the cord to the blow dryer had a short in it. We told management as we left and maintenance was told immediately.

I like the clean no chemical smell of everything. The hot tub and pool was nice and not crowded. The shower was a little hard to figure out. We were on the fourth floor and the view was nice.

It was very clean. People were great. My bathroom light had rust all over it. Shower curtain was torn. Wallpaper was torn in bathroom above the door. But all are minor.

Second visit to a Hilton Garden Inn facility that we've noticed we don’t get "free wifi" connection unless our Hilton Honors number is associated with our room, or until we have the "promo code" to enter on the website. The Joplin hotel clerk didn't "get" that we (as elderly guests) understood that we needed either our HH rewards number added to our reservation or that we needed the promo code. He gave us the promo code - and we were able to get free wifi access. This facility is slightly more dated than was the Wichita location - but both are still quite comfortable.

Tried hard, what a dump
I travel for work lots and don’t expect lots, clean room, attentive staff. Per the pictures the room was in horrible shape! How much is a new toilet seat? Bathroom was a disgrace. Also could smell propane outside my door, went down a level same thing (being end of hall) I told the front desk and they did not care…. Probably housekeeping……. Never stay at this hotel in Joplin, foregoing my loyalty point.

Our 1st room that was assigned to us smelled of cigars and cigarettes. They moved us to another room and it just smelled old and the mattress was old and lumpy. I was very disappointed in the whole property. We will never stay at a Hilton again.

Not worth the money!
I was very disappointed in the accommodations considering the price we paid. There was a huge stain on the ceiling, the in suite jacuzzi was pathetic half the keys didn't work and the ones that did weren't strong enough to accomplish anything relaxing. The bed was hard as a rock, i fell asleep on my side and woke a few hours later with my hip and leg numb from the bed being hard. There was popcorn butter all in the microwave and the bathroom area was dirty. The AC was out in the lobby and hallway so checking in was no fun. The clerk at check in was very nice and enjoyable especially considering the temperature of his work area. For sure won't be staying there again!
