Unfortunately this stay was a bust. I actually left in the middle of the night.
Lobby is clean and modern. Staff was friendly. Rooms were terrible.
First, the gave me room 213. I entered the room and closed the door. I looked and noticed that there is gap of over 1" under the door. I immediately thought that isn't good, as this is a motel and the door opens to the outside. Rodents could easily get in and out. I checked the floor along the wall near the door and sure enough there was mouse droppings. I was disgusted. I went over and picked up my stuff and went to leave and a mouse ran out from under the bed and exited the room under the door.
I went down and told the staff and they were very apologetic and "upgraded" me to another room without a gap under the door.
I had to leave and go to a conference dinner, and I wasn't back until around midnight. I started getting ready for bed, and decided to look for mouse droppings in my new room. None. I lifted the sheets back on the bed and had a look, and it was digusting. The bed definitely had not been changed from the last guest as there were hairs everywhere and dirt and what looked like sock lint. I checked the pillows and one pillow had a crusty (booger?) on it. At this point I just packed up my stuff. I called the staff to come and look, and they saw everything that I saw and again apologized profusely. I told them I am done and that I just want my money back. They agreed. Now I need Expedia's help.
