Humura, at initial observation, has the foundation to be a top 4 star hotel; unfortunately as my title underscores it, most of its potential is flushed down the drain. I stayed 9 days during year end 2015.
-Staff is very nice and serviable but lacks any sort of formal training.
-TV only had two local channels (contrary to what is advertised), reason invoked was the recently completed renovation....strange
-Hot water in the shower takes a good 20mins - and again the reason invoked was the recently completed renovation...strange. Furthermore a shower door would be useful, as the water spills out after each shower session.
-The hotel restaurant is supposed to be open until 10pm; yet in two occasions it was closed by 9pm and the reasons invoked were at best quite dubious
-Reservation done though Expedia but upon arrival they had no record of it
-Very happy that there was an air conditioner in the room, but leaked inside the room.
-The manager was unresponsive.
-Restaurant food was so so - very dry. And a lot of the food listed on the menu did not exist (or stock had suddenly vanished....for all 9 days I was there)
I could go on. To be fair the compound looks great and it is with regret that I write this. At a lower daily rate maybe most of the missteps would have been palatable, but not a 4 star hotel charging $160+ daily. I have read the response of the hotel management to other similar reviews, in which they flat out deny such allegations, I am here to tell you it is TRUE.
