Very clean and easy check in/check out. Room was well sized and beds super comfy. Restaurants here were also the only place open for dinner in American River on some weeknights in the off season, so handy to be staying on site.

our room was nice and roomy. excellent bed and the room was well appointed with mini kitchen, charging pads for phones and huge TV. The view of the ocean was wonderful. It is in a remote area so we had long drives to go see activities. Food at the hotel was limited and the breakfast was expensive for what was available and was not great!.They encourage not getting the room serviced but did not say what to do with the rubbish that built up over 4 days.

Amazing experience, beautiful bay view and the food at the restaurant is fantastic. Extremely helpful staff, cleanliness to point. Will definitely stay with them again.

Opposite end of island from Seal Bay and Flinders Chase but still great for wildlife. Hotel provided fish for Pelican Feeding next to hotel which was a fantastic experience. Pool and restaurant good and staff really helpful and friendly. Recommend it as good place to stay on the island.

We were very impressed by the quality of the food in the restaurant, the incredibly friendly and helpful staff and the amazing salt water swimming pool. The darma wallabies grazing at night right next to the motel were just absolutely the classic Australiana!

The area was quiet. There was walking trails and we were able to watch some Tameer wallbys playing in the evening. The restaurant was convenient and food was good. It was easier to find your way around and go to any place on the Island. The staff was friendly and very helpful answering questions.

Such a great location for accommodation! Only 30 minute drive from the Ferry, beautiful views, such a quiet and peaceful location, really felt like you were out in nature, it was very relaxing. The room was a good size, with nice little balcony with sliding door for nice airflow. The dining options were good, staff were very friendly! Would definitely stay here again if visiting Kangaroo Island again.

Für eine Nacht i. O. länger nicht
Das Zimmer war okay; die Türe zum Bad konnte nicht ganz geöffnet werden; das WC stand im Wege. Das Frühstück sehr minimalistisch, für eine zusätzliche Toastscheibe musste extra bezahlt werden. Die Zimmer wurden nur gemacht, wenn man dies an der Reception gemeldet hatte. Nespressokapseln wurden nicht aufgefüllt. Die Umgebung nicht wirklich toll😝

Great stay staff were amazing from stepping into the foyer ,we were x 3 60 year old girls on a 10 day trip to KI , we dinned at the Restuaurant again everything was perfect food. Wines,staff and the surroundings Thankyou and we will be back theodora ❤️

Fantastic stay!!
Superb stay! All the staff were attentive, helpful, friendly and excellent. Room was comfortable, with a lovely bed. Fantastic bar/lounge and great restaurant. Highly recommend.

Very quiet place to stay overnight. Room had a lovely water view and we were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary gifts of wine, snacks, biscuits and bottled water. A very nice meal at their restaurant and lovely staff, compensated for the slightly tired look to the large pool, buildings and surrounds. The management is obviously trying hard to maintain an older type motel in difficult times. Give them your support if you can. Cheers

Our room had a view to the water and the balcony was appreciated. The bed was comfortable and the room was well set up. Such a shame it was so badly insulated for noise and buses and trucks using the gravel driveway woke us up every morning. The restaurant food was thoroughly mediocre. Oven fries served with a $40 main course!

Clean comfortable rooms and beds, new bathrooms, complimentary wine, anzac biscuits and chips, felt very private and has friendly staff. We loved our time there!!

We enjoyed our stay here. Room was light and bright. Beds were so comfortable.Best hotel beds ever. Morning walks fro here amazing. Saw 50 black swans every morning. Pelican feed done by the hotel a bonus.

The property needs updating. bathrooms have rust and mildew present. Wait staff are not proficient in English. Set menu for breakfast is pricey. $29 for 2 poached eggs

The Mecure was a bit older but comfortable. It had fantastic views of American River and is located in a bit of a quieter part of the Island.

Friendly staff in both the reception and dining area. Room was good although the bathroom door wouldn’t latch and the fridge wasn’t on when we arrived.

I really liked the property across from the American river was pretty. Amazing staff and dinning service throughout my stay with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. Fantastic meals and drinks both at breakfast and particularly dinner. Will definitely miss the staff and dining her, definitely be back again. Thank you so much.
