Amazing stay in paradise
Out of the four Taj hotels that we stayed in, Bekal offers the best value for money with amazing villas. I was concerned that the backwaters may have meant lots of insects but this wasn’t the case. The gardens with an amazing variety of birds, the sea food restaurant by the beach, the pool, everything is beautiful

Stunning location and beautiful resort
An absolutely stunning resort positioned on a beach and also along the backwaters. The pool was amazing, the restaurants were good and the villa with private pool was absolutely fantastic. The room also had an outdoor bath and shower which was very luxurious and relaxing. The rooms were very private and perfect for a relaxing break. I would most definitely return back here when visiting Kerala again.

Excellent property and lived upto the Taj expectations. Their hospitality was top notch, service standards were very prompt and courteous with so many humble and down to earth employees. Backwaters was a big attraction with complimentary tea & snaks session from 4 30-5 30 pm - JIVA Spa was also very good though a little steep in price - I am particularly thankful to the Taj Bekal employee Aswanth and manager Suniel for calling me on time and making sure my work laptop reaches the Mangalore airport by 4.30 pm as I had forgotten my laptop in my room and the driver Sridharan made it on time before my 5.05 pm departure flight to Mumbai so big thank you for that. Overall an excellent vacation and enjoyed every bit of it.

Good stay at Taj Bekal.
It was a great location. Property felt a little dated. Rolls were clean and nice. Indian food was good but continental Breakfast was very poor. Overall a good experience but didn’t get the feeling of a five star resort.

An incredible place that allows you to experience the ocean and backwaters at the same time!! The resort is beautiful, having incorporated local art forms that are sustainable. Food is great and the service is outstanding. An absolute gem.

Good Stay
The Check-in process was quite smooth. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff was kind enough to decorate our room and offer us a cake. The property was very well maintained and was very beautiful. We had a villa with a private pool. The room was quite clean and the property had maintained a good hygiene level with regards to COVID-19. However, we feel the pool and the bathtub in our villa could have been cleaner. We had some issues with frogs in our pool, however, the staff was good enough to come and remove them. I would like to mention special thanks to Mr. Saurbh and his colleague from the restaurant for being very helpful and prompt in their service. The property has good access to the beach and also the backwater. The only downside was due to COVID the Menu was very limited. We were staying for 3 nights and after a point, we really were craving for variety in their Menu to eat something different. Overall the stay was very nice.

What a terrible waste of resources, a world class facility with excellent design, an amazing location and of course, our money. That was a quick summary of our stay at the Taj Bekal resort. There are a few things, a few minimum things, that you’d expect from a 20,000 per night stay. Especially when it’s a Taj resort. Unfortunately the Taj Bekal falls short on so many fronts and leaves so much to be desired.

Awesome location
Beautiful and serene resort. Bekal Fort is a few miles away from the resort and has breathtaking views. Taj as always is a warm and welcoming establishment. Spa is a must and the gym had good machines to workout as well. enjoyed the stay with family.

Taj always makes you feel special. Their staff is amazing. The room was pretty good, however, it was not clean. Lot of dust collected in the room, especially inside the long lamps inside the room. The facilities were pretty good.

Excellent experience, right from the moment we reached there. Every single staff member we interacted with went above and beyond to assist us. The resort is beautiful, with access to a private beach which is clean. The restaurants are very good, with friendly and courteous staff. Housekeeping staff came to see if we needed anything and noticed we had a little toddler with us. They brought a bunch of balloons for her in 5 minutes. Needless to say, my daughter was very thrilled. I will revisit this property again.

Taj Bekal is a beautiful property with lots of greenery, backwaters, ocean/beach walking distance away, a variety of activities for children & adults. The property has quaint villas with a nice courtyard, plunge pool, out door swing bed. What we liked & appreciated the most was the friendly and helpful staff. We travelled with our parents who are in their 70s & 80s and mobility challenged; the staff was ever ready to assist with bring the buggy to take us around, organize breakfast/lunch/dinner, almost instant room service and so on. They managed our group of 18 people,along with our numerous request, very well; everything seemed easy and comfortable.

Lovely room & pool to relax in. Really enjoyed the polite, helpful and friendly staff. Food excellent especially By the Bay. Also really enjoyed Yoga with Sudeep Basu at the spa. He was really helpful & I did postures that I didn’t realise I could do. Very positive experience.

This place is not worth the trouble of getting to Mangalore and then driving almost 2 hrs. Middle of nowhere and you are stuck at property with limited options. Then they charge you for all activities, and their restaurant charges are exorbitant!! A couple could easily spend five-digit rupees a day! If you don’t care for cost and want to be disconnected from world then sure please visit. Spa services were below average and restaurant servers need training in how to service and pamper. The food was overall good though and there effort in making up with guests on any issues was good. But certainly not 5-star class that’s expected of Taj.

A paradise on earth
Our Rotary stay was really magical. Every aspect of the hotel was praiseworthy. The evening shows of the drummers And the South Indian dancers was adored by the Rotary. I need to make a special reference to your front office manager whose singing ability sent shockwaves through the Rotary. The brilliant voice and beautiful old songs revived memories. The Spa and professional masseuse were brilliant. A special noteworthy lady Geethu V K was outstanding.

Excellent experience, thanks to all the staff of Taj Bekal. Loved our stay and will definitely recommend to others visiting Bekal in the near future. We got our room upgraded for 2 nights out of our 3 nights stay. Thanks you making our first Babymoon memorable.

Excellent Location
Just a few minutes walk to the beach and the shimmering Arabian Sea. Stunning surrounds of the hotel almost take your breath away. Facilities outstanding!

The Stay was amazing and food was delicious. The lobby manager upgraded one of our rooms to the pool villa which was a very nice gesture.

Stadtnähe, mit Auto-Riksha nur 4 min zu weiteren Restaurants im Ort. Zimmer riesig und liebevoll eingerichtet. WLAN auf dem gesamten Gelände. Fitnessraum zur vollsten Zufriedenheit. Activity Room mit Hilliard, Brettspielen und Tischtennisplatte. Hervorragendes Frühstücksbuffet, das keine Wünsche offen läßt. Jederzeit wieder !!
