terrible hotel
Airport pickup service is not a true. They require money for pickup service. This is enough to go to airport just 300NPR(3$), but they require 1,700NPR(17$). And one of the hotel staff made a complaint that our cost is too chip because we made a reservation at "Hotels.com", until we checked out. Also hotel elevator was malfunctioned, so we should bring our baggage to 4th floor every times. And Wifi also weak. As a result, I strongly do not recommend this hotel.

Dear Guest, Thank you for the review. Being the host we would like to clarify certain things that has either been misunderstood or misinterpreted. Dom Himalaya is fully dedicated towards providing service which exceeds the expectation of the guest. There have been times where we have had the best of occupancy in our very initial year because of the service and humble hospitality. Every Guest irrespective of the background deserves the best of service as our team is always very determined and dedicated. Coming to the mislead in your review, Dom Himalaya has never charged any of our guest 17 $ for airport shuttle. The base price has always been 8 $ unless it’s a different condition. Most of the time the shuttle service comes complimentary but when the service is chargeable the tariff is 8 $ (USD). We are not liable and answerable for any extra cost for the Airport service if the guest decides to do it on their own. Neither would any of our team claim 17 $ to be the tariff. Moreover the technical part of the hotel is never predictable. The Elevator breakdown was a part of the technical aspect which is beyond our complete control. However we fixed the buzz on top urgency and made the flow unblocked. If there has been any deliberate effort from the hotel team please get us back with adequate supportive evidence. We Look forward to serve you again and make sure whatever Confusion has emerged shall never be repeated again. Thank you again for choosing Dom Himalaya as your place of stay.

타멜 최고의 호텔
다른 게스트하우스에 비하면 5~10USD 정도 비싸지만 조식과 공항픽업이 무료로 제공되므로 상기 비용을 감안하면 주변 게스트하우스와 동등 수준의 가격대임. 또한 최근 오픈한 호텔로 매우 깨끗하고 스텝들의 친절도도 뛰어남. (화장실/샤워실 시설이 타 게스트하우스와 비교할수 없을 정도로 훌륭함)

타멜에 최근에 오픈한 깔끔한 호텔
최근 오픈한 호텔로 시설이 모두 깔끔하고 스텝들이 매우 친절하다. 조식, 공항 픽업, 무료 WiFi등이 제공되며, 트레킹 시작할때 두고갈 짐 보관도 가능하다. 루크라행 항공기 결항으로 타멜에 하루 더 머물때 다른 호텔을 이용해 봤는데 시설 차이가 매우 많이 난다. 결론은 약 5달러정도 더 주고 돔히말라야 호텔에 머무는것이 더 이득이였다. (조식이 포함되어 있으므로) 또한 샤워시설도 좋아 트레킹 마치고 돌아와서도 기분좋게 여유를 즐길 수 있었다.

Lovely boutique property in the heart of Thamel. Despite being on an extremely busy street, the property was remarkably quiet with a lovely rooftop patio. Rooms are spacious and have fast wifi. Complementary breakfast was a much appreciated bonus.

Very good value. Nice little neighborhood in Thamel. Easy to walk. Room had small balcony tv tea kettle clean linen(yes alittle gray). Staff very attentive. Definitely would return.

A very nice stay at Dom Himilaya Hotel. Room was comfortable and staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast provided was very good and varied. The restaurant also served delicious dishes day and night. Very easy walk to Durbar Square or into Thamel for shopping and dining options. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The hotel is clean and room very nice with view of city and mountains in the distance.The breakfast served each morning was very good and options changed daily. The hotel is very conveniently located for walking in Thamel or to Durbar Square. The staff is also very friendly and helpful to any needs you may have. I stayed here for a week and then booked another week. I travel to Nepal each year and would not hesitate to stay here again.

It was my 2nd time, and I have stayed here more than five days. It is my favourite place, and I always enjoy this location. However, this time, I was a bit disappointed as I had to leave early as the Internet was unworkable. Staff tried to help me, and I also tried to adjust by giving them a day time to fix it, but there was no improvement.

The hotel was very nice. the price was inline with the status of the hotel. The staff was above and beyond expectations. the staff actually cared about me and treated me as family. I stayed for a week to rest and it was wounderful.

The Dom is a great hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there and rested very well, a full night of sleep each night. The restaurant and all staff are excellent. It was a very pleasant experience.

What a great place You’ll be made to feel very welcome and nothing is an issue from the warm welcome at reception to the people sorting your bags all with a smile. The room I had was spacious and the balcony enough to sit quietly for a drink Breakfast was ample with a good choice including fresh omelettes I arranged a trip through rection and I would recommend this as i got a great day out with an amazing guide All in all a great hotel I’ll happily use again

Got food poisoning
Staff were kind, but they kept messing up simple instructions: got many food orders wrong; got laundry instructions wrong and ruined some of my expensive clothes. They also gave me food poisoning which is unacceptable (I only ate at the hotel for the entire duration of my stay).

Nice hotel in perfect location. Water took long time to warm up was my only problem with hotel. Some food was ok, others not so good. But very nice staff and helpful. Speaks English well and Cindy bed and room!

Excellent location, very helful staff
The hotel is very convenientlly located, plenty of cafe, restaurants and pubs around. The main Durbar square is only 15 min walk away. The best of all is the service, the staff are so polite, attentive and truly added to the experiences of Nepal.

Dom Himalaya was a very nice place to stay in Kathmandu. They provided transportation to and from the airport. The manager was very helpful and courteous and provided an organized tour and transportation to local sites. The breakfast buffet was very exceptional. The room was well maintained and comfortable. I would definitely return if I was to visit Kathmandu again.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Location of the hotel is very convenient. Airport pick up and free, check in very easy. Free coffee at the reception. Excellent choice of breakfast too.

Good value, location and excellent staff
Good value for money hotel, just don’t expect 4.5 or 5 stars to mean the same as it does in more developed countries. Perhaps 3 stars on a western scale. Which makes it still a good clean place to stay. Location is also good.

Perfect location, and extremely helpful staff
Very nice small hotel run by extremely friendly staff and very helpful owner. Owner of the hotel can arrange tours around Kathmandu. Walls are a little thin, so get a room away from the elevator. Very conveniently located as it is situated in the heart of the main shopping area of the city,

In either conditions or services, this hotel is not a 4-star hotel at all, let alone a 5-star hotel as advertised by their lobby. At best, you can barely get a 2-star rating. But the price is really very low.
