I had no hot water over my stay. I had another night stay with my friend after my stay alone. I hope they could have been more flexible so that I didn’t have to move the room back and forth each night especially no hot water and power out in the same night.

Wonderful staff and great location
The staff is friendly and attentive. The breakfasts are buffet-style with a nice variety of foods. Wonderful cappuccinos for free all day long. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby

Better than backpackers
Rooms have western toilet and shower and toilet paper and rooms are clean. Restaurant food is very simple and vegetarian and not expensive. Internet connection is erratic, to say the least. The hotel is not in the centre of the city, so a taxi or 45 minute walk is needed.

A home away from home
The staff are incredibly helpful, nice, polite...they make you feel instantly at home. It's a spacious hotel off the main strip so quiet when you need it, but only a few steps away from the main street where you can easily find restaurants, bars, The Garden of Dreams, shopping etc. To top it all off, they offer free purified water, coffee and Nepali tea all day.

Friendly, great coffee and quiet location
Located in the Thamel tourist area the hitek is on a quiet street. The rooms are clean and basic...some have 3 single beds, some have a double and single, and some a double/queen bed. Mattresses are hard as in many Asian beds; there are extra blankets in the room and an electric wall heater. The bath was a bit odd with the shower right in bathroom with a shower curtain that I had to back into in order to get under the showerhead. But there was hot water 24 hours a day with good pressure. Breakfast was excellent with hot buffet and granola, yogurt and fruit. The best was the coffee which is made on demand...espresso, latte or black. Staff were very helpful in all areas from front desk to housekeeping. I would definitely stay again. Small tour groups seem to be a staple of the clientele.

Dieses Hotel immer wieder!
Im vergangenen Jahr und in diesem waren wir in Nepal und immer im Hotel Holy Himalaya. Wir können es mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen. Zentral gelegen und trotzdem ruhig, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Wir waren 3 Wochen in Nepal, haben viele Ausflüge vom Hotel aus unternommen und egal welche Wünsche wir hatten, sie wurden erfüllt. Im Hotel gibt es einen vorzüglichen Kaffee, auf dem habe ich mich jeden Tag gefreut! Wir haben uns immer sehr wohl gefühlt und würden in Kathmandu immer wieder dieses Hotel buchen.

Stayed at beginning and end of a trek. Hotel is comfortable and staff helpful. Location in Thamel district very convenient. Airport pick up service was great when we first arrived tired and disorientated after long flights. Good hot showers.

Great and friendly staff and very helpful. The Hotel is located down some side streets but in the General Thamel district so well located. The larger rooms are better fitted than the cheaper rooms and offer more comfortable beds.

Hotel sencillo y familiar con buena ubicación
El Hotel es básico pero ofrece lo necesario, la ubicación es buena y el personal muy amable. Nos asignaron una habitación que no nos parecía adecuada pero solicitamos cambio y nos trasladamos a otra mas espaciosa mejor amueblada. La relación precio - calidad es buena y no se puede pedir mas. No tendría inconveniente en repetir la estancia en un próximo viaje, quedamos satisfechos con el servicio ofrecido.

Great spot to stay
The hotel is right in the tourist area but it is in a quiet street which is nice. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants close by and lots of shopping too- for both souvenir and trekking equipment. The hotel itself- it is clean and the rooms are very comfortable. The buffet breakfast is delicious and they have tea/coffee whenever you want in the reception area. Wifi was good. My only issue is in house noise. You can hear the opening and closing of other doors and street noise if people are arriving or leaving at odd hours. Overall, a great stay before our trekking trip.

Hotel is tucked away from the main chaos of Thamel. Helpful staff. Clean spacious rooms. Good buffet breakfast. We stayed here either side of our trek and were very happy with the facilities and location.

Nice but noisy
The hotel was nice, staff friendly & helpful, but it's really noisy. You can hear people unlocking their doors, vehicles/motorbikes driving by, & people outside as they excitedly await to depart on their tour, at 5:30am. But, that's all part of the Kathmandu experience- a stepping stone to greater adventures!

Very friendly and efficient staff. Clean, quiet room. Hot water available 24h. Nice dining area with good breakfast. Hotel few minutes walk from the Garden of Dreams.

夕方の到着でチェックインがムチャクチャ混んでいるのに、係員一人しかいなく最悪。 シャワーはお湯が途中で止まり水になってしまった。 道路に面した部屋だったが、明け方に団体客が到着したようで、騒音がひどく寝ていられない。 朝食は値段の割に良かった。立地条件も良い。
