풀도 몇개나 되고 츠쿠지도 있고 해변으로 바로 나가 일출도 보고 추억이 많이 생길듯...
하와이 습도가 높아서 종일 켜놓은 복도 선풍기 소리가 요란한것 외에는 그리 불편한점은 없었음. 수영, 골프 모두 가까운 곳에서 이용가능, 해안이 바로 옆에 위치, 일출도 볼수 있어 좋았음.

This was a lovely resort and the room was a little tired but clean. The bed was very comfy and the resort was gorgeous!

The room was not equipped as expected, (eg. cheap TV without cable that turned on at night by itself, alarm clock and most furniture was broken, sink leaked all night…). I didn’t see the other poor reviews until after I had booked, so unfortunately I could not cancel.

Sorry, for the inconvenient, we truly strive to provide the best quality room that is clean for the customers, with quality products/ linens. The sink faucet has been replaced with a new one, and we could not get to it sooner, because our maintenance person was on Christmas holiday break, sorry we were not able to get to it sooner, but it was a very small leak that drained info the sink and did not get water outside the sink.We think that the room next to us has a similar remote control thus the TV turning on,by itself. We will look into this morning and get this fixed asap.

Great little ocean front resort. We missed our flight and had to book a couple nights asap- booking this room through a private party online was much cheaper than going through the front desk. Since we booked last minute there was a bit of confusion at checkin time but the friendly staff got it all figured out for us. Lovely facilities, beautifully decorated lobby for Christmas, food was yummy at Shutters. Our favorite part was probably the valet staff- loved chatting with them and they were all like instant friends!

The Kaua'i Beach Resort is a lovely property and the staff went above and beyond with their service. Room#2417 is a room at the resort that is privately owned. The room itself was clean but there were a few details that were not provided prior to booking that caught us off guard upon arrival. 1. There is a daily parking fee that applies 2. Housekeeping is available with a fee and upon request. 3. The shower pressure in the room is very low. 4. The bathroom door is difficult to lock. 5. There was rust around the drain in the shower. 6. The room had a musty smell.

Hello, William, The parking fees, are clearly listed, on the reservation site, prior to booking. 2. We are getting the bathroom door fixed within the next few days. We sent the technician and he was not able to find the rust you are describing; as we just reparied for that a few months ago. We have asked the cleaners to keep let the evening sunshine in to dry up the rioom for air con use.

The service at the front desk was slow, we came around 10pm, was asking for some drinks at the bar ( bartenders were still there) they told the bar is closed, OK, we left for checking the pools and outdoor territory, when we came back we saw one of the bartenders was selling drinks, we smiled and asked “ so you are open or not?” Just because they were caught- they sold us 4 beers)) The room is old, smells like grandma’s closet, faucet is leaking, shower had no pressure, takes like 30 min to get some wet, tv turns on in the middle of the night, in general if you are out somewhere on the island for a whole day , tired like crazy and just go to the room for sleep - it is ok!

The facilities were nice, it was a bit frustrating in getting around, it was advertised that there was airport pick up and shuttles to the local shopping centers, but there was not. I didn't rent a car but should have, parking was so expensive, ubers were so expensive and food at the hotel was so expensive. The restaurants would were not accommodating, I brought my grand daughter and she was getting a little home sick and really wanted to have comfort food, but she was too old for the chicken strips and the waiter would not get them for her. He said if he gave her them he would have to charge her more. She would have been happy to get the child's portion.

Our honeymoon slept on two double beds.
When I booked the room st the Ocean Front Kauai resort, I was not told I was reserving a privately owned room. We had access to most of the hotel adminities like the pools, workout room, restaurants & etc. The shuttle used for to customers to and from the hotel and airport was not ours to use nor was daily maid service. Since the room was private we needed to call the owner for clean towels. We were offered to wash the towels at the on site laundry. The staff were great except our final night at dinner, the server didn’t listen when we ordered ours meals and charged for two doubles drinks we did not have. On our last night we were told the Kauai Beach Resort had a new owner, a big big hotel company. I look forward to see the changes made to polish up the resort.

SCAM ALERT
On 4/26/17 I booked a room The Kauai Beach Hotel thru Gaia Gives. The rate shown in the chart on the website was $132, which sounded good to me. I went ahead to check out. As I was in a hurry, I missed the pricing detail in the small box off to the left. Later, after I had entered my credit card number and hit "confirm", I realized that in addition to the $131.56 room rate, I had been charged $ 227.47 in "fees and taxes". I Immediately tried to contact Gaia Gives, but got only a busy signal. I diligently searched for other contact info and none was to be found, so I contacted Expedia.Their Customer Service person tried to contact Gaia Gives and also was unsuccessful. I was told that they would continue their efforts and I would be advised of the result within 24 hours. On 4/27/17 I received an email from Customer Service telling me that they were still trying to make contact. On 5/4/17 I was informed that Gaia Gives had declined to cancel this reservation. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and am awaiting the result. I am partially to blame for booking this without looking more carefully at the billing detail, but I feel Expedia should not take part in what is clearly deceptive advertising. After filing the dispute, I booked a room at the same resort from Aqua Resorts for $169.15 plus $ 48.87 taxes and fees. The Aqua staff were wonderful , the room very nice and updated and they upgraded me to a pool and ocean view room. DON'T BOOK thru GAIA GIVES.

not worth the money, stay elsewhere
I was so excited to stay at this hotel, I heard the pool was fantastic. However, from the moment of booking I was off to a bad start. This hotel charges OUTRAGEOUS fees, the fees were more than double the room-rate. I definitely did not mean to hit confirm, that was an accident after I saw the fees, but I hit confirm and it was downhill from there. Check-in- The hotel was pretty and looked very clean upon walk-in, but the loveliness was cancelled out by the down-right rude front desk/ check in attendant. She was not a nice person, very short with me, a little sarcastic even. I did not feel welcome and I found out there that the room I had booked was a "private owner" room, not the actual hotel room. The check in lady then treated me like a second or third class citizen and showed no genuine aloha. Pool was great, but super slow service and not enough umbrellas or shady areas or side tables next to beach chairs. The room: The room was okay, it was cute, small. It was relatively clean, but the toilet wasn't even flushed, I guess the cleaners forgot that part. Eww. As for comfort, the beds were TERRIBLE. I booked thinking I was getting a select comfort bed, but got a squeaky, hard, uncomfortable bed, which is important to me as I have a bad back. I will NEVER stay here again, just not worth the money paid at all. I could have stayed at a much much nicer resort for the total price paid and get better service, I really regret staying here. Lesson learned.

musty smell in the room. The wallpaper was coming away from the wall by the sliding glass door. There was no key to use the safe. I could not get the TV to work and there were no instructions.

Hotel staff were very friendly. The elevator only worked half the time we were there. The room was clean, but the wall paper was peeling off. There were 2 Jacuzzi and a lovely pool; we really enjoyed those. The site was family-friendly. Overall, 3 star, but over-priced.

It's close to the airport and that's about it. Not bad for price. Cool pools. Can't swim at the beach though for multiple hazards exsist.

not worth the money
secret charges! there are charges of significant amounts that you are not advised about until you are there! for instance, you must have a car to get around. there is no public transportation and the taxi is expensive! but, you are then charged a significant amount per night to park the car, whether it is self park or valet. do the self park. valet parking is close to entrance but you can't park there, and then you are expected to tip every time you hand the keys to the attendant. you have to park on the grounds, there is no "street" parking. just not at all impressed with our stay. this facility is part of the main hotel, which is Kauai Beach Resort. if you stay here, book through Kauai Beach Resort, NOT GAIA GIVES RESORTS! get a regular hotel room. I made this mistake. these are hotel rooms which are privately owned and rented. therefore, the condition of the room is up to the particular owner. trust me, book through Kauai Beach Resort, NOT GAIA GIVES RESORT AT KAUAI BEACH RESORT! THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!!!

Not worth the price
Arrived about 6 pm. Room was supposed to be "luxury room", but was rather ordinary. Wanted to have our 3 boys visiting to be able to swim, but they would only allow 2 extra swim/towel tickets. Went down to swim anyway, and the water slide had already closed at 5 pm. Four pools were non-heated, so we just sat in hot tubs for a few minutes. Disappointing. Not word the half-price cost if you dont get there immediately at earliest check-in time.

Hidden Fees Galore
Breakfast on the menu was listed at $16/person for the buffet, but we were charged $22 each. We also were apparently checked into a privately owned suite instead of a proper normal room, despite booking with the hotel and were charged $24 as a cleaning fee on checkout. Valet fees were not presented, and just charged. The price we paid for the hotel was substantially higher than their average nightly rate. The South Pacific evening show was a joke. The acting was incredibly poor, props laughable, and seating arrangements completely unacceptable.

Hotel service horrible.
We booked this hotel for the end of Feb,and bought the insurance to cover cancellations. The end of Jan. my son was badly injured. Reminder,, this was 4 weeks before we were to be their. I called the hotel to cancel out due to my son was unable to travel. They flat refused to refund us. Due to I bought this through Expedia I contacted them. They also got nowhere with these people. I was told by Expedia that they would turn in a grievance on this hotel, and would get back to me. Now it is March, I have heard nothing from Expedia. You are asking for my experience with this hotel? I didn't even get to stay there, and still had horrible service.

Great location
The hotel is very close to the beach, there is a lot to do nearby. Whether it's kayaking or hiking. There are multiple pools, both an indoor and outdoor bar. There is ample staff to take care of your needs, and the outdoor parking is covered.

This is actually a privately-owned unit in Kauai Beach Resort, which was not advertised when I booked it. It was a little confusing when I tried to give directions for transportation because no one had heard of Gaia. Anyway it was more or less the same as staying in the resort directly except breakfast was not included.

Disappointing
Constant rooster crowing, which would be fine except their glass is thin and it permeates the room. There was a constant ticking in the walls (not a clock). They were weirdly particular about their pool towels... handing out cards to be exchanged for 2 per stay, charged $30 each if you didn't bring them or the cards back to the front desk when you leave... meaning this might be the last hotel on earth that actually requires you do more than leave your key in the room when you checkout. It was also very confusing that Expedia did not make it clear that "Gaia Luxury Oceanfront Resort" is the name the owner of the room gave to their room and NOT the name of the hotel... which was Kauai Beach Resort. To car rental places and other folks around town who needed to know where were we staying, "Gaia" did not exist. Once we learned the real name of the place we used that, but on the way to our destination it was a bit confusing. Most of the staff members to whom I spoke were polite and helpful, but the facility and policies weren't so great.

Nice mid star hotel
The staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant and shutters bar are the best parts of this hotel. Beautiful evening live music and we got to see and hear Darryl Gonzales play and sing. He's an amazing slack key guitarist. Good at the hotel was great, rooms were nice and clean but dated. Overall a good stay

One night stay.
Hotel is on a large property. Very nice pool area with a few eating options located on the property. Service at the bar was lousy, and it wasn't all that crowded. The beach is nice however the water isn't ideal for swimming, boarding, snorkeling due to large rocks just off the surf. Not much around within walking distance also. I'd probably stay here again if the prices remain a bit lower than competing hotels

Luxury Room ?- Verdiente den Namen allemal nicht!
Unter 'luxury' versteht man ein sauberes Zimmer mit sauberer Ausstattung (Kaffeemaschine war so wie unser Vorgänger sie hinterlassen hatte, dreckig und ein alter Filter war vorzufinden, wer weiß, wie lange jener schon in der Maschine verhaarte! ), keine Löcher in den Wänden!, ein vernünftiges Bett und kein rahmenloses Bettgestell! Eine Badewanne, die nicht angebrochen ist und ein Geschirr, dass sauber und trocken hinterlassen wurde! Das Zimmer, dass wir belegten war das Geld definitiv nicht wert! Viiiiiiel zu viel! Wir warten immer noch auf eine entschädigende Pauschale! Auch in diesem Fall lässt der Service zu wünschen übrig! Solche Umstände kann man eher von einem 2 Sterne Hotel erwarten, aber nicht von einem Erholungs Resort! Wir waren sehr enttäuscht ! unsere erste Nacht auf Kauai so verbracht zu haben! Das ist wirklich sehr schade, da die Insel eine Paradiesinsel ist! Doch das erfreulichste an der ganze Sache ist, dass wir nur eine Nacht dort verbracht haben!! Das NÄCHSTE Hotel war dafür ein Traum und absolut empfehlenswert!

Gaia is not a hotel but a management company, and the room offered is managed by a separate owner and not run by the hotel. The room was barely clean, had old food in the fridge, and inadequate toiletries. When I asked the hotel for a room cleaning and some shampoo I was told to call the owner. This is not the hotel's fault but this policy was not disclosed on the Expedia page, which claimed that full services were provided as part of the price. The hotel tried to charge me for internet, which was also listed as included.

We, left refill French Roast ground Starbucks coffee and new juice for children to enjoy. Room were cleaned well. We do pay plenty of money to front desk for Internet and Parking...to ensure all these are free for our guests. The entire resort is condominium hotels and owned and managed by different owners and management companies who manages it for different owners. We are also featuring Aveda bath and Body products, in our boutique rooms now.

I ended up leaving the island early and wasn't able to check-in to this hotel. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to cancel either due to some kind of policy, so that totally sucked. I'm sure it's a lovely place though, the voice on the automated messaging system is nice too.
