This area is a walkers paradise. Most guests come here to walk the cliff tops. It’s a beautiful area. Breakfast was great. Full Irish plus other choices. Restaurant on site is for guests staying at this B & B only so not rowdy. Limited hours for front desk both morning and evening. We were happy with our 3 night stay. You need a car to get to town for supper or have to arrange dinner at the B & B.

Great location
The Dingle Peninsula is beautiful and Dunquin is right on the Atlantic. Beautiful beach nearby as is Blasket Island and the Blasket Center. A drive around the area is well worth doing to see Famine Houses and prehistoric beehive structures. The owners, Geraldine and her husband, are very nice and they provide a great breakfast, in their resturant, with the room. All-in-all this was a great value.

Dunquin Hotel
We arrived late and was warmly greeted by Ronan the owner. The accommodations were quite nice if a little bit chilly. It was a gorgeous area complete with a handy bar across the street. The breakfast was lovely and Ronan was very friendly and made us feel at home. We highly recommend! ,

Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten (das Haus hatte eigentlich geschlossen, Expedia hatte die Buchung nicht weitergeleitet) wurde trotzdem ein Zimmer für mich hergerichtet. Der Inhaber ist sehr freundlich und entgegen kommend.

Basic but lovely
Everything was great! Clean, beautiful view and we enjoyed our sta. Our hosts were very friendly and breakfast was lovely. There was a bit of a strange smell in our room though, that was the only issue we could find.

Beautiful place to stay
We stayed just the one night, we liked the fact that the room was not in the main house so it did not feel like you had to be careful not to wake anyone else up, friendly and helpful from start to finish, plus the views are just amazing,

È un b&b , valido ,non ci sono delle comodità da hotel, la wi fi funziona solo dalla reception, ma se andate a Dunquinn non cercate il superfluo, ma godete del paesaggio e della Natura dell'Irlanda e non serve altro . La colazione è buona abbondante e la signora e i suoi collaboratori sono persone gentilissimo .

The only thing I could recommend about this place is the scenery.it would not be suitable for families especially with small children as no local amenities for them nearby.U have to travel to Dingle which is a gd 20mins drive depending on the tourist traffic.a lot of attention to detail needed here!!

AMAZING power showers in a wild location
Dunquin is quite an isolated but very beautiful location - beware of this before booking and do not expect a bustling urban centre. The guesthouse was on Slea Head with a view of the Blasket Islands from our breakfast table. The guesthouse is very close to the Blasket island interpretive centre and opposite Krugers, a small country pub, one of the few in the area. There are not many food options without driving back to Dingle or further on to Ballyferriter however there is a restaurant/bar on site which was not a gourmet restaurant but perfect for sustenance after a day out hiking. The building is laid out more like an American style motel than a regular Irish B&B with a private entrance for each room.

Traumhafte Tage an Irlands Westküste
Traumhafte Umgebung gepaart mit gutem Komfort und sehr netten Gastgebern. Dazu ein Restaurant für die Hausgäste mit kleiner aber leckerer Speisenauswahl. Familiäre Athmosphäre, ausreichende Parkplätze und der westlichste Pub Europas schräg gegenüber. Ein Hit ist das Full Irish Breakfast am Morgen. Habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt im An Portan!

Dingle Pennisula
This place is located on the far end of the Dingle Pennisula. The couple that runs this place was very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was enormous, delicious, and they even accommodated gluten-free. We would stay in this location again and recommend it to our friends and family.

ディングル半島西端にある素敵なホテル
オーナーは気さくで親切。レストランも兼ねているので朝食がとても美味しかった。ホテルの前からは、スケリッグ・マイケル島が見えます。ブラスケット島のフェリー乗り場にも近く、ディングルの町から車で30分以内で便利。ディングルの町からホテルに戻る途中、スリーヘッドで最高の夕陽を眺めることができました。ディングル半島の自然を楽しむなら絶対お薦めの場所です。

It seemed long getting there (roads narrow and winding) but going back was quick so it was just because it was at the end of a day. Lovely place. Great breakfast. Nice people.

Accueil simple, chaleureux, authentique. Beaucoup d'espace dans la chambres. Toues les chambres sont entourées d'un jardin. Calme et confort assuré. Nous avons même pu manger sur place. Petit déj de roi servis le lendemain matin. Il n'a manqué que le soleil !

Excellent hotel in a quiet setting.
An Portan ('The Crab' in Irish) is an excellent hotel in the settlement of Dunquin, a quiet part of the Dingle Peninsula away from the crowded conditions of the town of Dingle. If you are looking for a genuine experience of the Irish countryside, and to stay in a B&B run by friendly and helpful people, this is the place for you. The hotel serves an excellent breakfast, with a choice of the traditional Irish Breakfast, or omelette, or scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. They also serve dinner for guests only, and the food is delicious: steak, salmon, and a couple of other alternatives. The sea views are magnificent, and the hotel overlooks the Blasket Islands. Staff helped us organize a boat trip to the Blaskets for birdwatching and historical interest. Nearby is the Blasket Island Center. Hotel is on the R559, which makes a loop around Slea Head and runs past beehive huts, the Gallarus Oratory, other historical attractions, and incredibly beautiful scenery. If you do not want to deal with the busloads of tourists in Dingle at midday, and the crowds on the Ring of Kerry, I recommend Dunqin and this B&B in particular.
