Hi Susan. I checked the messages sent to you. Of the two sent, one was general information where we make a passing comment about having a young family and that our standard check-in hours are 3pm to 7.30pm. The second email, a few days before arrival, asks for an ETA and reminds people that we prefer all check-ins by 7.30pm unless otherwise agreed. We make no apology for this and I'm sure most people would understand why we don't wish for people to rock up at any given hour of the night. We ask guests to let us know if they're going to be out later than 11pm so we can leave the door unlocked for you when we go to bed, not so we can stay up to let you in. Usually this isn't an issue for anyone.From memory I don't think you mentioned anything about the TV or the shower during your stay but it is always best to mention things like this at the time so we can rectify any issues.
