Fabulous boutique complex with only 4 apartments. Modern spacious suite tastefully decorated with an extra comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. Only negative for us was lack of a kitchen sink and the height that the TV was mounted ( personal preference but it reminds of hospital TV’s 😀) Jess is a great host and provided a nice Continental breakfast in the huge lounge area that has a lovely wood fire and super comfortable leather lounge. Perfect location for catching Bruny Island ferry and exploring the beautiful Tasmanian south. We will be back !!

A wonderful finale to our Tasmanian holiday
We are a couple in our late 60's who had been travelling in Tasmania for 2 and a half weeks. The Cove, Kettering was a perfect ending to our time in Tasmania. Our accommodation was wonderfully spacious, very comfortable and with a panoramic view over the marina and ferry terminal for Bruny Island. It is only 30 km south of Hobart and a great base for exploring the surrounding area which we did during our 3 night stay. The breakfast included was delicious and a great way to start a day's exploring. It is served in a separate dining area where we were able to sit out in the sun, look at the boats in the marina and feel very spoilt. Jess was very helpful and was always available either by phone or in person to answer any query. Only suggestion would perhaps be the addition in the shower of a grab rail as the floor tiles could be a bit slippery. Wonderful bathroom layout with separation of areas. We unhesitatingly recommend The Cove, Kettering

Ideally situated for Bruny Island ferry
Ideally situated for an early ferry across to Bruny Island. One thing to watch out for: there is no food available locally on a Sunday but the Tavern at nearby Snug provides a good meal.

We found it very comfortable. But a real problem with mosquitos during the night. If I was the owner I would put in flyscreen doors.

Craig doing his best to run the Hotel it is for sale in the early days the owners smothered you with service advice from friends that stayed there We had no floor heating for the first night However our stat was pleased and Craig’s breakfasts were very good

Great view and very spacious room. We were very hot at times as there is no air-conditioning and had to use the standing fan all night to sleep. in the absence of laundry facilities on site or in town (as far as we could tell), a washing machine would be awesoe and there was room for it in the massive bathroom area. This room would work for wheelchair bound guests though. Closer to a great pub and super handy for the Bruny Island ferry. They did miss us one day for room servicing but the staff/owners were delightful to meet and chat with. A bit more information in the guest compendium would be good...where services are, a local map, up to date info on local eateries (we drove to two only to find them closed despite the info in the folder).

Up market accommodation
We stayed here the night before embarking on the Bruny Island ferry. The unit was very clean and was a large room, with very comfortable king bed, and very nice bathroom. There is obvious attention to detail, with quality amenities and toiletries. Good WiFi too. Very nice view over the harbour and an easy walk to the pub for dinner. Breakfast included a cooked to order menu. We enjoyed our stay.

A welcome surprise
The Cove wasn't hard to find - it was on the main road south from Hobart. We checked in a bit later than expected but we were given instructions via text messages and found the whole process quite easy to follow. The room was a very welcome surprise - big, expansive views over the bay below, a comfortable and well appointed room and easy access to the towns amenities.

入江に面したホテル
このホテルは多分、モダン、最新式ホテルを標榜しているのであろう。ホテルは無人で管理人は居ない。何かあれば管理人室に貼ってある電話番号へ連絡する仕組みになっている。浴室のシャワーなどデザインが凝っている。お陰でシャワーの湯量が貧弱なのには参った。古いタイプの大きなシャワー口でお湯がドッと出たほうがシャワーする人にとっては嬉しいと思う。窓からの眺めは夕方の入江にヨットが見え、中々いい眺めである。

The room was large and clean,,and complementary breakfast was good.... but.the internal facilities were insufficient.and there was not enough water to take a shower..
