Serene Property on Tranquil side of the Island.
Great property on the quiet side of the island. The owner and staff were wonderful and the food in the restaurant amazing. If you are looking for the party scene stay on the other side of the island.

Thailand as it used to be !
An excellent hotel in all ways. Beautiful location, stunning views from the beachfront rooms, lovely food and the best and most helpful hotel owner you could hope to find. Nothing is too much trouble at this resort , and prices are very reasonable. Visiting Amber Sands and the east coast is like going back in time in Thailand. If you're looking for a friendly, laid back resort with the option to have everything arranged easily for you by the hotel , this is the place for you. So stop searching, believe me you won't regret booking this hotel.

An ideal retreat to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life on the mainland. From check in to check out our hosts Simon and Sar made us feel at home. Highly recommended as a great location and base to explore the island from.

Når man tjekker ind her så ryger pulsen ned, her er så stille og roligt at man ikke kan andet end at slappe af.. fine bungalows og skøn udsigt fra deres Beach bungalow, hvor vi boede. The perfect place to relax
The perfect place to relax and enjoy sea, beach and wonderful thai food. Its located on the east-coast of koh chang, which is the calm side and you can't really reach some other places except the serenity resort and a restaurant by foot. Which is absolutely no problem as the food in the resort is great and we did enjoy every single dish we ordered. The red sand beach is nice and well maintained (being raked every morning), you got to walk a bit into the sea to swim (especially at low tide), and should search for the best "lane" to get in inbetween of some stones, but this is not a problem even for children (they should wear bathingshoes anyways). Sunbeds are available on the beach as well as at the pool. The pool isnt huge but easily big enough the cool down and sufficientfor the only 9 (!!) rooms of the resort; it also offers a separated shallow childrens pool. Breakfast is a'la carte, normal thai pricing (like the full menu) and very delicious and you can order it the whole day. The owners (Simon from UK and his thai wife and family) and staff are extraordinary friendly, especially our 3yrs old son did enjoy their hospitality a lot (and i think they did have fun with him too ;) The room is offering all you need: enough room, good bed, fridge, bathroom w/ shower, A/C and it's very clean. All in all it was a great place to relax and enjoy thailand with the family at it's best!

L’Amber beach est tenu par un couple absolument charmant! Ce que vous voulez, ils vous l’organisent avec gentillesse, ce que vous rêvez, ils vous l’exaucent avec ingéniosité, Ce à quoi vous n’avez même pas encore imaginé, ils vous le proposent! L’hôtel est charmant, calme et à taille humaine... 8 chambres! Le cadre est sympa, la piscine très agréable. Deux choses pourraient passer pour des bémols, l’absence de Sunset que leur Sunrise compense largement et une plage qui peut être minimaliste au grès des marées... C’est probablement le prix à payer pour le grand calme et la sérénité magique de l’endroit. Cerise sur le gâteau et au risque de me répéter, l’équipe est charmante et la nourriture délicieuse, fraîche et de bonne qualité. En un mot, une adresse à partager...(mais pas trop, qu’avec les meilleurs amis^^)

Tropical paradise
Amber Sands is without any doubts amazing place with the most helpfull owners and staff, located on East side of Koh Chang means that there are hardly any people around which is great if you are not party type:-)...than go rather on opposite side. Accommodation is perfect, clean, big enough with everything you need, pool is great with enough sea beds, restaurant is excellent - there are three restaurants on this beach but Amber Sands restaurant is the best one. Beach is nice altough not the white sand Maldives beach...rather gold sand with stones in water. Massages right on the beach are easy to recommend as they are as well very good for 400-450. The only negatives we found were some small problems with transport on East side of Island as most of the Songthaews are going only on west part and annoying early morning noise from centerpoint ferry and local fishing boats. Otherwise everything was 5star.

Pool, beach, excellent thai food and fresh. Extra info via e-mail fast and informative. Great service, quiet place which we were looking for as we started our trip after 24h traveling 😊 very very relaxing also with our 1 year old. Lots of sand play things, no sand flyes, free kayak and sub-board. Thank you.

Everything was perfect I strongly recommend this resort , next to a wonderful beach delicious food , wonderful bungalows , very nice people, always ready to help you In a very quiet place of the island , but still not far from the west coast of the island if you need anything or want to go to a night market to get inexpensive food The best resort we found in Koh Chang Good prices in November

Relaxing, welcoming, comfortable stay
The resort's on the quieter side of Koh Chang, which is exactly what we were looking for. There are three small resorts spread along the beach, and it never feels busy. The bungalows face towards the sea and are set in a semicircle around the pool. Our bungalow was comfortable, spacious and spotlessly clean with both air con and a fan. The bed was king size and comfy. There's a swimming pool, and free-to-use kayaks and some beach toys for the kids. The restaurant's good - both properly tasty Thai food and some good western options. And some cracking cocktails! Finally, Simon and the staff were welcoming and very helpful, and made us feel right at home We had a great time, and would happily go back

Underbart ställe som varmt rekommenderas.
Mycket avkopplande, vi bodde 2 nätter i Beachhouse room downstairs med stranden utanför. Ingen Tv på rummet. Wifi funkade klockrent. Frukost ingår ej utan det får man köpa separat. Mycket vänlig personal som tog hand om allt så man skulle trivas.

Excellent stay
The East coast is quiet and relaxing there are some great beaches and waterfalls to visit but you do need to hire a car or scooter. The hotel organized a driver for us for the day which was great as we got to visit the tranquil long beach with its clear blue waters. be aware it did take about 45 min to get there but was worth it! The hotel itself has a small pool and allows guests the use of its paddle board or two kayaks. The food is good and there are two other resorts nearby along the beach if you fancy a change. Serenity resort does a happy hour 4-7pm the cocktails are average pina colada is a good option. The room was nice the only downside is that the bed was quiet squeaky.

Super dejligt ophold, kunne ikke ønske sig et mere behagelig ophold, super godt værelse, Extremt rent, alt var meget pænt holdt, have, strand, pool supere holdt Servicen var i toppen, alt var til for dig, så selve Resortet var 110%. Selve øen er meget slidt, vi havde faktisk troet den var mere velholdt, men på den vestlige side (den med flest hoteller/Resort (hvilket er noget overfortolket) de fleste "Resort" var faldefærdige skurer der forlængst burde været revet ned, så den side var ikke meget forskelligt fra en sort gade i Pataya. Vandfald er altid en oplevelse og dem er der nogle stykker af på Øen, men skal vi dertil igen bliver det på den Østlige side (hvor færger ligger til) mest ro og resort lever op til deres navn

Perfekt om du vill ha lugn o ro
Amber Sands är en underbar plats. Vi bodde här 10 nätter med två små barn ( 7 mån resp. 3 år ). Här tar man det lugnt. Det finns en mindre pool med en lite barnvänlig del dvs inte så djup ( skulle tippa på 60 cm). Eftersom hotellet är litet så blir det ingen trängsel alls. Alla bungalows ligger mkt nära allt både pool, strand o restaurangen vilket passade oss utomordentligt bra med små barn då vi alltid lyckades glömma nått kvar på rummet. Servicen är helt klanderfri. Köket håller stängt mellan kl 14.30-18 men då kan man förse sig själv med kalla drycker o skiva upp. Maten är fantastiskt god. Trots att hotellet ligger avsides kommer det gäster till restaurangen som inte bor där. Östra sidan av Koh Chang är annars helt olik den västra. Stränderna inte lika fina och inte lika trevlig botten när man ska bada. Själv behöver jag att det händer lite saker runtomkring och då kan Amber Sands kännas lite isolerat men det kompenserade vi genom att hyra bil några dagar. ( Julian fixade detta åt oss som mkt annat ).1200 bath/dygn plus soppa = 1400-1500 bath. Då fick vi iallafall en barnstol med i bilen. Vänstertrafik vänjer man sig fort vid. Både jag o sambon springer endel och turades om att morgonjogga längs bilvägen på morgnarna. Helt underbart innan solen gick upp. Man måste bara vara beredd på att en o annan hund blir uppjagad av löpare. Gå då några meter istället så tappar de intresset.

Enjoyable stay at Amber sands.
Family run resort, great helpful staff, quiet location with well maintained gardens, small but clean outdoor pool, free kayaks and surfboard. Nice restaurant and bar area. Rooms small but comfortable and well cleaned.

Lovely, nice quiet place.
The resort is on the quieter side of the island. Lovely nice cottages and nice food! Staff were helpful. We had to cut short our stay for personal reasons. We shall try and come back again.

Total avkoppling
Perfekt hotel om du vill ha total avkoppling. Hotellområdet är relativt litet, korta avstånd mellan restaurang, pool och rummen. Det är väldigt praktiskt om du har småbarn och måste springa fram och tillbaks. Det är väldigt trevlig stämning och atmosfär på restaurangen, ägarna som för övrigt finns på området hela tiden småpratar med en hela tiden. Maten är enkel men väldigt bra. Finns traditonella asiatiska rätter men även en hel det västerländska. Poolen är i mitten av området och har en liten barnsektion fullt med en massa barnleksaker. Kul för barnen. Det finns inget nattliv men man kan gå till två andra hotell längs stranden och äta. Men det är också allt. På vägen utanför hotellet finns inget annat än vegetation. Vi gav detta hotell högsta betyg med dessa förutsättningarna.

Secret Paradise
The hotel is run by a really nice family and they make you feel welcome no matter the time of day. They will also help to book different tours to your taste while on the island. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle of white sand beach but still close enough to get a taxi or drive there for the evenings. The hotel is very private and served nice dinner with some great priced wine! We would recommend to people looking to have a quieter romantic trip rather than those looking to party.

Ett litet paradis!
Väldigt trevligt par från Storbritannien som har stället. Ligger lite avskilt från liv och rörelse vilket gör det perfekt för riktig avkoppling. Jätte fint område, god mat, trevlig personal och avslappnad atmosfär gör detta till en pärla som inte får missas.

Amber Sands Beach resort op Koh Chang is klein (8 bungalows) stijlvol, ontspannend, persoonlijk, erg schoon, stil, luxe warme uitstraling. De grote groene tuin is bijzonder mooi aangelegd. Alle bungalows staan in halve cirkel en hebben allen zicht op zee. Het is stil en niet toeristisch, maar vooral erg ontspannend.

This is a very personal botique hotel .
This hotel has a very peronal feel to it ,the owners a lovely south african couple(Cherl and Julian) certainly make this the opposite of an impersonal bland hotel experience. Restaurant is great everything freshly bought-so much so you need to order the fish the night before! ,staff happy ,gardens fantastic ,views fabulous ,hotel quiet.Rooms are comforatble clean with great A/C .Bathrooms are fine but not plush .beach is swept. Amber sand is quietly located .It is not a corporate type hotel If you are looking for nightlife ,shopping a buzzy street nearby this is not for you.If you are looking for a delightful place to relax and unwind then it is perfect.Would have liked to have stayed longer

Etsin rauhallista ja korketasoista lomapaikka ja tämä vastasi niitä jopa yli odotusteni. Sijainti, Palvelu ja Ruoka , kaikki Erinomaista.
