I got a room with Mt. Fuji View and it’s worth every penny. I paid extra for dinner and that was the highlight of my trip. The food was so delicious and the service was excellent! The inside and outside public bath was nice too!

This hotel does not seem to have been renovated in a long time. It's dated and does not feel very clean. The traditional style room was beautiful and spacious, but our sleep was uncomfortable. We were so fortunate that the weather was cooperative during our stay. We opted for a fuji-view room and we had an outstanding view. Paying for this upgrade is a gamble, but was well worth it for us. We had a car, so the location was great!

Great hotel, spacious clean rooms and we had amazing views of Mt. Fuji. Excellent service, good breakfast and nice Onset. Nice quiet location.

This is a lovely hotel near the lake. Great views of Mount Fuji as the name suggests with a "panorama lounge" for viewing. Unfortunately at sunrise the windows were covered with moisture which impeded the view. The Onsen was great and not busy, at least in the evening. I took the buffet breakfast and enjoyed it. A very nice mixture of food andba great view in the dining room. I arrived in the late afternoon and was disappointed that the only meal available was the traditional Japanese buffet for about $100. The nearby restaurant was closed and the only other option was to take the shttlebus back to town and the take a taxi or walk back. I use a cpap machine and was very surprised and a bit annoyed that there was no electrical outlet near the bed. The good far outweighed the bad but there were a couple of places that could use some improvement.

Beautiful property. I loved relaxing in the onsen. The breakfast buffet was yummy. And the hotel staff also helped me recover my coat that I accidentally left in the room! Will definitely book again in the future.

Lovely hotel with very nice gardens, and stunning views of Mount Fuji from the 6th floor panoramic lounge. A little out of Kawaguchiko but a regular hotel shuttle is provided. Would highly recommend a stay here if visiting this area.

A bit outdated but still very nice
Overall a great hotel with nice, big rooms and beautiful surroundings and view. At first glance the building and the decor is a bit outdated, but the comfort is high and everything runs smoothly at the hotel. The onsen is nice and the breakfast is really good. We found that the price of the hotel's restaurant to be a bit pricy and therefore didn't try it - lots of other places to eat in the area. You do however need a car to get around (or rent a bike from the hotel) as not much is in walking distance.

We stayed at this hotel on our way from Tokyo to Kyoto, stopping at Lake Kawaguchiko to see Mt. Fuji. The hotel was great — free shuttle to and from the bus station (which allows you access around the lake), clean, very friendly staff, and, most importantly, absolutely stunning views of the mountain (if you book a room with a mountain view). Perfect for the price point. Would recommend!

We were able to stay in a Fuji view room. And WOW really worth it. We had clear blue skies with direct views of Mt Fuji. It was lovely waking up to views of Mt Fuji. The hotel is older and has an older feel to it- bathrooms etc. Our room was spacious, with a sofa. The location was great - very near the lake and a short drive into town. We enjoyed our stay

The dining area was well-maintained, and the service was attentive, ensuring that every guest had a great start to their day. Whether you prefer a hearty breakfast or a lighter option, you'd find something to enjoy. Lastly, the overall experience was one of sheer enjoyment. The staff was courteous and accommodating, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. From check-in to check-out, I felt like a valued guest, and that truly added to my overall satisfaction with my stay. In summary, my stay at Fuji View Hotel was exceptional. The cleanliness and the delectable breakfast made my visit memorable. Les photos ici ne correspondent pas du tout à la réalité de l’hôtel. La décoration date des années 70, ce n’est pas ce qui était vendu sur les photos. Si j’avais visité avant de venir je n’aurais pas réservé. 40K¥ est beaucoup trop cher pour la prestation proposée. J’étais déçu d’avoir autant dépensé pour une nuit à l’instant où je suis rentré. Les infrastructures sont vieilles et l’odeur mauvaise. La vue Fuji était une vue parking pour moi, je déconseille fortement. Le dîner était très cher, je n’ai même pas essayé de le réserver tant j’étais déçu du reste. C’est incroyable mais c’est le seul hôtel à ce prix qui ne propose pas d’un café / bar ou lounge pour se relaxer et passer un bon moment. Juste des sièges au 5e étage avec des distributeurs automatique, c’est triste. 😔 La location de vélos est payante, attention, il n’y a qu’un vélo électrique pour 80 chambres dans un hôtel si excentré. Impossible de réserver un vélo après 20h. On ne se sent pas chez soi. Le personnel est rigide sur les règles de l’hôtel. Pleins d’instructions, de l’entrée jusqu’à la bouteille d’eau dans la chambre. Je ne comprends pas comment cet hôtel est si bien noté, ne vous fiez pas aux avis positifs. Si vous voulez une nuit dans un hôtel de standing, visez l’autre côté du lac, il faut réserver en avance mais l’expérience est incomparable. Seul point positif, le Onsen était agréable. Une expérience que je ne renouvellerai pas
