Wir können dieses Hotel von ganzem Herzen empfehlen. Nong hat den ganzen Urlaub alles in ihrer Macht Stehende getan, um unseren Aufenthalt so schön wie nur möglich zu gestalten. Dank ihr haben wir einen Roller mieten und 3 Mal wechseln können, ohne uns Gedanken darüber machen zu müssen. Ja, der so gemietet Roller war etwas teurer als bei anderen Anbietern, dafür mussten wir keine Sicherheiten hinterlegen und mussten uns auch keine Gedanken über Diskussionen bei der Abgabe machen. Wir haben es uns zu zweit in der Privat Pool Villa 801 gut gehen lassen. Die ca. 30 Privat Villas liegen nicht direkt am Strand, sondern einmal quer über die Straße. Damit sind sie weit genug weg von den Fischteichen auch der Vorderseite des Hotels, an denen Nachts durchaus laute Quarkkonzerte von Fröschen gehalten werden. Am Pool ist Vorsicht geboten, die Fliesen können rutschig sein, wenn sie nass, daher unbedingt an die Badelatschen denken. Ebbe und Flut sorgen dafür, dass der Strand fast verschwindet und wieder später wieder auftaucht. Dass Wasser ist relativ lange flach, bevor es tief wird. Wir haben uns gegen ein Frühstück im Hotel entschieden. Im Nachhinein was dies eine gute Wahl. Zum einen ist die Auswahl am Buffet begrenzt, zum anderen ist der Service sehr unterschiedlich. Wir sind binnen einer Woche vom europäischen Frühstück auf asiatische Varianten in der Umgebung ausgewichen und haben es uns mit leckeren Dim Sum oder Suppen am Morgen gut gehen lassen. Der Private Pool wird alle 2 Tage

When we arrived at 6pm we were made to wait around for 15 minutes before taken to a room. The room we booked was supposed to be luxury but when we got there it was very dated. It had a private pool that needed cleaning so we didn’t use it! Bedroom and bathroom are clean, if you can get this room discounted sure, it’s ok, but don’t pay full price for this, I’d say it’s worth $50 a night max

We stayed here for 4 nights on Koh Samui, and found the grounds to be amazing and well looked after, the room was great with only one note id say is the AC only works with the key so it had AC off all day and took an hour to cool it back down. Breakfast was good, staff were good and helped us rent a motorbike. Overall a nice experience.

Good place to spend peaceful time but far from the downtown... You must consider to rent scooters or cars if you want to visit other place at your convenience, the taxi is minimum 400 bath per trip to the closest place, and the hotel propose one shuttle per day at 3PM to drop you where you want, but you must come back by your own... The swimming pool of the resort is not so impressive that on the photos. The house with this option included a nice swimming pool, the pool depth is fixed and convenient for children from 4 years old. The spot for the beach is quiet, not crowded, safe

This was a great hotel. I was here for my cousin's wedding. The only thing is, if you want a night life, there is none on this side of the island and it's far. Taxi ride can add up. But to get some r and r and private time- this is the spot to be! I do love the hotel though. The staff were great and always so friendly. We miss it there already!

Great isolation, lots of room for improvement
Staff was friendly. We stayed in the older part of the resort closest to the beach. Our room had the plunge pool. Given our room was older, the bathroom was not that great. Our shower head kept getting loose, but maintenance came right away to fix it. Our room had an ant issue, every night I went on a hunt to kill whatever ants I came across. There would even be in your bed. The breakfast could be better. I wish they would use food covers to protect the food that’s sitting out, every morning, fruit flies would swarm the fruit and whatever food that has been sitting for who knows how long. Best part of the breakfast buffet is the made to order egg station and view of the ocean while you eat. Other than the breakfast buffet, the restaurant at the resort is pretty decent. Location is a bit isolated, but isn’t that the point? There are a handful of small eateries around. But if you want to go shopping, you need to take a taxi and head about 20mins away.

Quiet location next to the Beach
The hotel was very accommodating , the rooms on the pool side of the resort were fine but bathroom facilities dated We moved to the rooms with their own pools on the other side of the road which were very good more expensive but worth it . The hotel was very quiet to start with then got quite full , lacking unfortunately a good resturant , buffet breakfast was OK but had better. Staff lovely and friendly and tried hard to please , A car would be a must to see the island and for eating as there were only a few restaurants to walk to and could get expensive to use taxis to go to other areas. We were a family meeting London and Austrailia so wanted somewhere in between,

Nice quiet hotel
This hotel is great value for price (not the best, but decent) if you are staying in the Taling Ngam area. This area is quite secluded and far away from the nightlife (in Chaweng), so it has some ups and downs. There's hardly any restaurants nearby, nor a convenient store. Travelling around, either try to rent a scooter, or download the "Navi Go Thailand" app (their version of uber, but there aren't many cars around so be prepared for 10min waiting time) as that's cheaper than the hotel taxi. I got a Standard Double Room, the beds were nice, room was clean, though the spa on the balcony was a tad dirty. Bathroom is clean, though the shower is a bit small. A couple of annoying things were 1) the shower seemed like it had a temperature timer where it would give out nice warm/hot temperature for about one minute, then it would turn cold for 30 seconds (even if you put it up to max hotness it's still cold), and repeat that hot-cold cycle. 2) Seems like the toilets cannot handle 2-3 wipes of toilet paper, since the pipe kept on getting clogged. If you like a quiet getaway at Taling Ngam, then this is cheap and decent.

Einsames Hotel am Strand
Wir hatten die privat Villa mit Pool. Es war nicht möglich alle Türen abzuschließen. Die Holztüren waren zum Teil so verzogen, dass sie nur mit Kraftaufwand zu öffnen waren. Das Frühstück war recht bescheiden. Es gibt täglich um 15 Uhr ein Shuttlebus der kostenlos zu den vier größten Orten fährt, für die Rückfhrt nimmt man ein Taxi (300-900 Bath) da es außer einem Kiosk und zwei lokalen nix in der näheren Umgebung gibt, nimmt man den Bus gerne in Kauf. Man kann auch für 200 Bath ein Roller mieten, leider hatten wir Dauerregen weswegen dies keine Option war. Aber es gab Deutsche Welle im Tv was bei dem vielen Regen auch mal schön war. Der eigene Pool war durch den Regen ziemlich kühl aber wenn mal vier Stunden die Sonne schien war er perfekt.

Beautiful hotel!
Loved this hotel! Wish we stayed another night. When we arrived, they upgraded us to a room closer to the beach. We had great views from our room, and the room itself was beautiful. Loved the 4-poster bed and beautiful bathroom. The staff were also very friendly and helpful during our 1 night stay. Would definitely stay here again!

Very peaceful and quiet on the far side of the island. But it's an hours drive from the airport. Staff is super nice facilities are ok our room shower did not work had to bathe in the jacuzzi tub with a hand held shower with very little water pressure

Fin strand, hyggelig betjening. Resorten bærer preg av lite vedlikehold og manglende rengjøring. Stedet forfaller. Kjøkkenet er ikke noe å skryte av. Siden avstander til by er stor var hadde Resorted en ordning at de kjørte deg til byen og man selv tok taxi hjem. Fin ordning. Fin spa.

This is not a 4 star spa resort.
After a very pleasant and reassuring welcome we experienced a sharp decline in the standard of the hotel comparing to how it was advertised. The room was slightly damp, the air conditioning was very loud and utilities were of a poor standard, even when they were working. For example there was no hot water and the spa was only open upon request and overpriced as were the food and beverages. Location and hotel were peaceful and isolated which was what we were looking for but having a means of transport is essential if looking to leave the hotel, which you will want to do. The hotel overall has a lot of potential but 4 stars is extremely generous and we felt that the price did not reflect the quality of the accommodation. Although offering a beautiful beach area, the atmosphere was somewhat lacking and we found ourselves walking to other resorts in the area. Overall we were disappointed as it is nowhere near the standard advertised and would certainly not consider it a spa resort. We have never left a negative review before but we really felt that we could have got a nicer resort for half the price on Samui. Other guests clearly felt the same as there was someone complaining every time we walked through reception.

Ok hotel in a quiet resort
Hotel was located in a quiet resort but with its own beach frontage and within walking distance of a couple of roadside restaurants. Rooms and the hotel in general were of a good condition but could do with some modernising. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Reasonable price and great if you are looking for a very quiet relaxing hotel.

A Couple's Retreat
A Couple's Retreat, a perfect hotel on a beautiful island which opportunities to relax. Unfortunately, I was not in a couple, I was travelling with a friend and had booked this hotel because it was close to Nathon Pier, where we were next travelling from. After the antics in Bangkok this place was perfect to just relax on the beach but I very quickly got bored and apart from the use of the gym and the kayaks there wasn't much else on offer and the nearest busy beach with bars and other travelers was on the other side of the island. However, this wasn't the hotels fault at all, who offered free travel to Chaweng (not back, that would have been helpful though) and were always on hand to help with any questions. I wish I had done more research before booking. Nook, one of the women on the reception was particularly helpful, always greeted us with a smile, spoke fantastic English and always tried to help as much as she could to resolve our boredom, one day booking an excursion for us. A great hotel for couples, NOT TRAVELERS, unless you want to get away from loud noises and the hustle of travelling.

Tråkigt hotell väldigt långt ifrån någonting. Att ta taxi till resturang var dyrt. Hotellpersonalens tips på restauranger var nästan som att dom försökte blåsa en, dyrt och usel mat. Otroligt dålig städning. Frukosten väldigt tråkig, hotellets resturang var okej men minimala portioner. Väldigt öde hotell.

Freundliche Angestellte, schön gepflegte Anlage, leider etwas abseits. Für Shopping oder abendliche Aktivitäten befindet sich nichts in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Das Restaurant ist zwar schön gelegen, die Preise sind aber doppelt so hoch, als wenn man draussen irgendwo Essen würde.

Fantastisk resort med dejlige omgivelser
Vi er et kærestepar som trængte til en anderledes ferie, og kom til dette resort. Vi fik guider op til hotellet dagen efter ankomsten, og de fortalte om alle mulighederne, hvis vi ville se noget andet end vores lækre pool og dejlige strand, så vi tog da også til Koh Pangang for ingen penge. Hvis man vil til shoppingbyerne fredag, lørdag, søndag, kører der en gratis shuttlebus hver eneste dag kl. 15 (byerne vågner ca. kl 17-18 tiden) :) På resortet var der fantastisk spa/massage muligheder som vi benyttede os af de første dage. Dog fandt vi ud af at priserne inde i Chaweng og Boh Phut er meget billigere. Massagen er det samme. Værrelserne har aircondition og boblebad hvis men vælger en villa (anbefales hvis man skal bo der 2 uger) Det er terapi for sjælen, ingen børn og rolig atmosfære. Der afholdes bryllupper nogle aftener på stranden og hotellet, men det er kun hyggeligt. Mulighed for halfmoon/fullmoon parties osv., men vi anbefaler at tage til Koh Pangang for dette. Fantastisk!

A peaceful week at Kanok Buri
Stayed for seven nights with my three children. Reception and housekeeping staff were extremely helpful. Swimming pool and beach never crowded. The meals in the hotel are overpriced, however there was a small restaurant just outside that served lovely food at a more reasonable price which we used on a number of ocassions. Although there is not a large selection of food for breakfast (compared to most hotels we've stayed in before) it was sufficient as there was a choice of hot and cold options. The atmosphere at breakfast time was also always very calm and never over-crowded.

Prisen taget i betragtning, var opholdet på Kanok Buri ikke pengene værd. Personalet var meget imødekommende og venlige, men mange af dem talte desværre meget dårligt engelsk. Spa'en var lukket fuldstændigt ned under vores ophold. Billederne snyder utroligt meget ift. hotellets standard. Alt i alt blev vores forventninger ikke indfriede, i forhold til prisen. Stranden er fin og børnevenlig.

ジャグジーを楽しみに予約したのに、水量が少ないため実用的ではなかった
のんびりとビーチ、プールとジャグジーを楽しみにしていたのですが、ジャグジーはお湯の水量が非常にわるく、バスタブにお湯がたまるころにはほとんど水と変わらない温度であまり楽しめませんでした。 タイで水量を期待していた自分が悪いのかもしれませんがやはりがっかりでした。 ビーチはすごい綺麗で人も少なく、ゆっくりできました。ジャグジーの問題がなければまた泊まりたいと思えるホテルだと思います。

Rundown and tired
Stayed for a week in mid February, extremely quiet area on the west coast - nothing nearby in terms of night time activities and such, so don't come here if you're in your 20ies and still have a raging party bug. Lipa Noi is for relaxation, winding down and just chilling. Resort features a fantastic beach - one of the best on Samui, stunning sunsets, wonderful restaurants nearby (Mango Tree, Think, Gulyabi (or smthg like it)), but the resort is tired and run down. If it was indeed built in 2006, nothing has been done to maintain it's original standards, except haplessly covering the many cracks in the walls. Found something old and very stinky in the fridge, no clue when that was last cleaned out. So much dust and filth underneath the bed that I only dared to look once. The beach with its lovely, smooth sand makes up for a lot of the drawbacks, but add the staff's devil may care attitude, resentment from the kitchen workers and sub-par, very limited breakfast and I'm not sure I'd return. There is potential here, it must've been grand at some point, but it isn't anymore. You get what you pay for, and Kanok Buri is cheap for a reason. It's by no means a 3½-4 star resort anymore. 2½-3 is more accurate. If renovated and restaffed (or at least send them off to charm school) I'd be happy to return. As for current conditions, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Beatiful to look at, rooms dated. Dangerous pool.
The hotel was stunning to look at and right on a stunning beach and quite part of the island, however the rooms were dated and not very clean with thick layers of dust in places. The wedding we attended was amazing and very well organised and that was our reason for staying. 4 kids out of the group got very sore rashes from the pool on the first day as the clorine and ph levels were way out which resulted in the doctor being called out, the staff did not take any responsibility and were extremely rude and would not allow anyone to speak with the manager. After this know one from our group entered the pool and some of the group cut their stay short and moved hotels. The bar shut at 10pm and even while open ran out of drinks on many occasions. There was no atmosphere here and we found ourselves eating out most nights.
