수영장과 조식이 괜찮은 리조트
전체적으로 가장낮은룸에도 욕조가 있고 룸은 넓었지만 내가 묵은날 하루종일 폭우가 쏟아져 원하던 수영장은 1시간도 이용을 못해 아쉬움으로 남는다. 조식은 종류는 많지않지만 실속있게 갖춰져 나온다. 하지만 아쉬운점은 요청한(허니문셋팅이라던가 허니문케잌등 사소한것들은 하나도 해주질않았다.) 요청이라는것은 확정은 아니지만 그래도 어느정도 손님에 대한 감사의 표시로 해줘야하는거 아닌가? 특히 허니문이라고 침대위 꽃잎장식은 기대했는데 그부분은 너무나도 아쉬운곳이였다.

Jay and her team were outstanding. They made our stay at New Star pleasant. The breakfast buffet was good and of course the service was on point. The bar and pool area are also very nice and well managed. Good food and drinks and well-priced for a hotel. The property is set up well and everything is a short walk away however the rooms are dated. We had a villa which was probably beautiful at some point but it needs renovating particularly the bathroom. The shower was terrible. The water pressure was very weak and the temperature wouldn’t stay constant. The sink area felt old and unclean (it looked clean and I’m sure the staff did their best). The shower gel and shampoo were ok but there was no body lotion. The old style room key made it so we we couldn’t leave the AC on while out of the room because we had to take it with us and this would switch off the electricity. So we would come back to a scorching room that would take 20-30mins to cool off.

The highlight was breakfast with an excellent range of both Thai and Western cuisine complemented by friendly and attentive staff. The swimming pool is quite large with varying depths and never crowded. The beach is kept clean with some shaded areas. Unfortunately our room revealed some examples of maintenance neglect. Daily housekeeping is inconsistent when providing a clean, complete set of towels. One air conditioning unit to cool the bedroom area does not reach other areas of the bungalow which can become quite hot (perhaps consider the addition of a fan in the bathroom). Separate information about what television channels (and languages) are available would be helpful.

Fantastic hotel
Felt really welcome. My room was unreal. The staff were kind and helpfull. The hotel is located in a really good place the on the beach with a nice pool and bar. All round a really good hotel.

Wonderful stay!
The manager went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were spacious and clean. The service was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and kind. We definitely plan to come back.

Really wanted to write a negstive review for New Star Resort, just to keep people from discovering this somewhat hidden gem....but I just couldn't do it. This resort was exactly what I was looking for when booking to Koh Samui. A liitle south of the main city area, so away from the crowds and much quieter, but not too far for quick transportation. The resort itself was ideal. I had a bugalow room 30 m. from the beach. Long walkable beach either direction. 5 star hotels on either side, but you're not paying 5 star prices, for the same strip of beach. Entire staff were super friendly and helpful. (I know everone seems to say that but I've stayed at two other locations on this trip and while the were okay to good in terms if service, neither were up to New Star level.) Love this place!

Great spot, excellent beachfront and grounds, great service. Great buffet breakfast. Great location on one of best beaches on island - quieter and less busy than the main Chaweng beach. A great experience all around - would definitely come back !

Lovely hotel for a relaxing beach / pool holiday
Lovely hotel on a quiet stretch of beautiful beach. The pool area is only a couple of steps up from the beach. Plenty of sun beds for everyone so you could move around during the day. Service is great with the delivered to your sunbed, happy hour cocktails being a real selling point. Breakfast is an excellent buffet catering for international/ all tastes. Hotel is set out through ‘tropical gardens and are mainly low rise blocks - rooms are large with an indoor and outdoor shower and decent air conditioning. Centre of Chaweng is a short taxi ride or hotel shuttle bus ride away but not an issue - there’s a taxi station at the front gate. I have to mention the security people at the front gate who made you feel special every time you passed with their generous salute and protective assistance in helping you to cross the road or calling a taxi. We had a great time here and I’d recommend it,

Excellent as usual
This is my fifth stay, my decision speaks for itself. I received a warm welcome as always. The experience this time is again absolutely flawless in all aspects, including catering, accommodation, housekeeping, facilities, staff etc. What attracted me the most is the seclusion and tranquility of the sandy beach right at the front of the Resort, where you could spend the whole day in a hassle-free style. For food, easy to find outside of the Resort as there are s couple of restaurants on the main road. Having said that, the in-house dining is of an excellent quality. I will definitely be back again.

In paradise
I have traveled alone for 5 days in Koh Samui and I stayed at New Star Beach Resort. From the time I checked into the hotel until I had to check out, I met smiling and caring staff. Huge large room with a very good climate facility. Very good breakfast. And white sand beach. The beach bar and restaurant were lovely stylish. You feel that you have ended up in paradise. Finally, I can say they have the best coffee I've had in Thailand. I already plan to come back here this November. Thanks for everything.

We stayed in separate cottages which were spacious, private, and quiet. Grounds were beautifully manicured and the resort is situated on a beautiful beach for lounging on and swimming. The daily included breakfasts offered hot and cold dishes - very beautifully done! We were very happy with everything about this resort.

Der Aufenthalt im New Star Beach Resort war im Gesamten in Ordnung. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, jedoch fehlen Ablageflächen und das Bett war Brett sehr hart. Nach einer kurzen Bitte, das Bett etwas weicher zu gestalten, wurde sofort gehandelt. Generell, wenn etwas nicht passt, wird sich sofort gekümmert (daher ein Plus für den Service)!! Bei der Bedienung im Restaurant und an Bar ist allerdings Luft nach oben...sehr schlechte englischkenntnisse und zum Teil zu aufdringlich. So wird man z.T. gefragt, ob der Teller abgeräumt werden kann, obwohl man offensichtlich noch nicht fertig ist. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist mit frischem Omlett, Rührei, Pancakes etc. soweit okay, jedoch gab es keine Abwechslung und jeden Tag das Gleiche. Zur Umgebung: In naher Umgebung des Hotels ist leider nicht viel los. Dies ist am Chaweng Beach (ca. 4-5 km nördlich, gut mit dem Roller zu erreichen) schon ganz anders. Hier gibt es zahlreiche Bars und Restaurants direkt am Strand und die Festival Shopping Mall. In Chaweng sollte also für jeden etwas dabei sein. Fazit: Ist man auf der Suche nach einem ruhig gelegenen Hotel mit einem ca. 800 m langem Strandabschnitt, so ist man im New Star Beach gut aufgehoben. Sucht man jedoch mehr Unterhaltung direkt um die Ecke, so sollte man sich eher nach Chaweng orientieren. Der Service im Gastrobereich ist definitiv ausbaufähig.

The mattress is very uncomfortable, some parts sink in and obviously, it is overly used and need to change new one. Hotel staff are friendly and very polite. Location is ok. To go to the shopping district, one has to take a cab there and it costs 300 bahts. Going to th airport is 500 bahts.

Well-performing and excellent, as always
My fifth stay this time, excellent as always from check-in to check-out covering virtually all aspects including catering, accommodation, services, spa, services etc. I appreciate the size and quality of the beach, where I spent most of time suntanning and swimming. I had a good time, and I do hope and believe that other guests at New Star would find this resort as nice as I do. Definitely the most favourite pick for my future visits to Koh Samui.

Super Hotel zum Entspannen
DAs Hotel ist eine sehr große Anlage mit tollen Bungalows. Wir hatten ein Bungalow mit Gartenblick, konnten aber auch das Meer sehen. einfach nur ein Traum. Das Bad war unbeschreiblich schön mit der riesigen Badewanne. Hatte Honeymoon und wurden mit tollen Geschenken begrüßt. Der Strand ist auch super obwohl ein Teil mit Kies ist. Die Liegen ware mega komfortabel und der Service am Strand auch super. Der Pool ist im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Hotels sehr große und einladend. Auch die Bar am Strand war sehr nett. DAs Frühstück lässt auch keine Wünsche offen. Mega großes Angebot. Das Resort ist einfach nur ein Hammer mit dem gesamten Service.

Don't stay here.
This is not a full service resort. I called them to set up a transfer for me and they said I can take a taxi from airport once I landed. They gave me a room that was not what was promised. Hotels.com just gave me the run around. I left after check in. The hotel needs maintenance all over property. Service is non existence. Stay away from this property. I stayed at the Briza beach resort. Great service better prices.
