We enjoyed our stay at the Garden Hill Mansion. It's a little way out of the centre of town (ie. the railway station), but easily walkable, and if you're feeling lazy or have bags a tuk tuk is 60B. It's also convenient for the night market near the Town Hall.
The hotel itself is new and clean, and our room came with a little balcony as well. The main downside was that sound-proofing was not considered when it was built, so you can hear everything echo down the corridors. The staff speak a little bit of English, but not a huge amount. This was never a problem though. Apart from that, it was a good stay.
