새로 지어야할 호텔
대단히 오래된 호텔..리모델링이 필요함..엑스트라베드는 수십년된거..노숙자도 거절할정도임..전체적으로 호텔시스템에 비해 가격이 지나치게 비쌈..절대추천하지 않겠음

Cherating, November 2015
The hotel is on a great location, facing the beach. The room which is wood based has seen better days. It really needs upgrading. The swimming pool is in much worse shape with the floor tiles damaged leaving holes that can injure. The only saving grace is the proximity of the beach from the room and the sunrise views which is stunning.

It is bad experience, this is my 2nd visit. in Sept'2014 it was a pleasant to stay in this resort.For this 2nd visit, I found it is disappointing.Room not well service. Breakfast buffet not variety and found the dirty plate on the table. Maybe it's weekday.the Hair dryer also did not function.

Value for money!
We were so happy even though we stayed only for 12 hours. The f&b personnel Michael was so kind so does his collegue who served his last day there.

Nice place.worth a visit
The service was great.the porter attended our luggage immediately after we arrived.the check in took less than five minutes.the room was fairly clean.great comfy room with a great view of the ocean.it was so relaxing.great turtle release activity by the beach.kids enjoyed it very much.but there's not much things to do around cherating.we ended up chilling at the hotel.overall this place worth a visit for a relaxing getaway.

Even the hotel a little big old, but the room we got still reasonable maintained and clean. air corn function swimming pool also ok.

The receptionist made us wait although the room is ready. No towels provided after we get into the room. After we called, only 4 hours later we got the towel. When we got our keys, there is no explanation what the hotel has to offer, as if we have to know ourselves although it was our first time. Very unfriendly staff and not attentive. Not even a sorry for the fact we have to wait, let alone any welcome drink to serve. Please get staff who really want to work, not were force to. I know many people would kill for the job.

Impiana Resort, give it a wide miss.
Firstly, despite our voucher showed including breakfast for 2, we were denied breakfast at the restaurant the following morning. All of us had to settle and verify with the receptionist. After some toing and froing, they admited our booking does come with breakfast for 2. What a way to start our holiday!! Not that the breakfast spread is anything to boast about. Secondly, the bathroom and toilet open to the bedroom! Yes, no exhaust to the outside. Now, you can imagine the smell when one uses the toilet!!! And hotel says ALL ROOMS ARE DESIGNED THIS MANNER. SO NO WAY, BY CHANGING OUR SUITE WILL HELP. Thirdly, the whole resort compound was very badly maintained. The buildings look like falling apart. paints peeling from buildings, rusty aircons, waste water pipes dangling loose and unpaved car parks. Only the lobby looks great and comfortable. In view of the poor state of the resort, we cut short our stay. The hotel had the audacity to charge us 20% for cancellation. Recommendation? Absolutely NO WAY.

Hotel is a bit dated but still comfortable to stay. Staff are helpful. The only problem we faced was the water pressure at bed room. It was too low that I have to call up their maintenance guy twice but it still unresolved. Advice not to stay at highest floor.

Give me my towels!
We arrived at Impiana Cherating at about 1415 hrs. However unfortunately we were informed that our room was not ready yet and we have to wait about 1 hour before our room was ready. There reason given was that it was a peak season and there have many check out and check in. Totally unacceptable. For Godsake, how did they manage the hotel? We went to our room at about 1530 hrs, and to our surprised, there was no towels provided! Can you imagine that for a self-claimed 4-star hotel? After 4 times of requesting at 20 minutes interval, and was given the same promise as "ok sir, we'll send you the towels", we only received the towels at about 1720 hrs. Really spoilt our plan for the day. We decided to have our dinner at the hotel's Kedai Kopi restaurant at about 2000 hrs. Again, we only received our food after more than an hour of wait. It was really such a disappointment. The facilities of this hotel in overall don't deserve a 4-star rating. It need a major refurbishment.

Not worth to around RM300 per night. Old style hotel, poor facilities and should be renovated/painted/upgraded for better improvement.

A nice getaway although hotel is a little old.
We went there during the non-peak season, so we had around 5-10 rooms booked in the whole hotel, which was very nice and felt very quiet and secluded. The free breakfast buffet is below par and had limited selection. Not worth is you are going to pay for it. Food was just average. Dinner was not too bad, but the medium rare steak that I ordered turned out to be rare. and unchewable. The staff was sorta helpful but did their work properly, except for the receptionist who checked us in, she wasn't that welcoming and friendly. The staff response time is unpredictable for room service. so, if you wish to check out at 12, tell them 11.45, then they would come on time. The bed was a little old and unstable, but were able to sleep on it nevertheless. The cheap, 30 year old sheet (at least felt like it) was not that comfortable, with most people having comfortable quilts in their own home, this felt as if, you were sleeping in a cheap motel room. Certain parts of the bed just came out when u pulled it, but nothing major. The night club played cheesy music which had a bad mix or was fake music that has unwanted sounds in the background. The bartender was friendly but not helpful, he didn't open the club till 7.30 although they said it would be opened at 6pm. Even though it was my wife's birthday, and i mentioned it, no one cared. Wish it was like other hotels where they at least give a free drink, gift or at least do a gesture that makes someone feel special.

Hotel with scenic beach but however unable to enjoy beach activities due to monsoon season with non-stopped rain throughout my stay. Further, some places within the hotel compound and road leading to hotel lobby and parking are clogged and flooded with water.

Need maintenance!
Not so good. We stayed 2 nights. Room cleaning do not change towel, no soap refill until asked. Lot of lizards along walkway to room and in Kedai kopi (restaurant). Swimming pool with lot of stones. Not as expected from Impiana!

Good environment but poor maintenance.
All good except my room aircond blower was dirty and not cooling. I have to take my wife to the clinic for allergic treatment. Building in dire need for repairs and serious maintenance.

Cherating holiday at Impiana
Lovely stay. Love the location and people are friendly. The only issue was we could not find a decent coffee. The hotel should invest in a nice coffee machine that offers full range of coffee like Americano, cappuccino, expresso etc. Overall it was a nice stay

We spent 3 nights at this hotel. Although the room was a bit old and battered, we liked it. IT HAD CHARACTER. A balcony. bamboo screens, a window seat, cushions all gave the room a delightful ambience. Also delightful were the staff who gave a service that would be difficult to better. Breakfast was a buffet with both European and Malay dishes - good quality food with plenty of choice. The Impiana is a large complex in pleasant grounds with a good size swimming pool. During our stay there were very few people at the Hotel and we had the pool virtually to ourselves. When the hotel gets busier, the small number of sunbeds could prove a problem. The adjacent beach is good for beachcombing (shells) and watching the local fishermen. However, as normal with east coast beaches, there tends to be a lot of rubbish and, if swimming, you have to be careful with currents. The local village of Cherating is an ex-Hippy hideaway. We recommend the Duyong Restaurant for a Chinese meal and also recomment a Cherating river trip. If lucky you may see otters, snakes, monkeys etc.

Impiana just so-so
I've been there for 3days 2 nights with my wife and the hotel is just so-so not so impressive as i look on review. but still comfort to stay. I love on the sound of wave which our rooms are near to the beach. a space are cramp compared to our previous hotel. food are normal whit a few choices. environment are nice due to its location near the cherating beach.

I must say that the staff at Impiana are great, very friendly and helpfull. The hotel itself is in serious need of a revamp. Do not travel there in the monsoon, the weather is lousy and it rains a lot, i went for the surfing but my family ended up stuck in the hotel. The rating is not accurate and is definately a Malaysian standard rating.

hoe lang geleden kreeg deze resort zijn 4 sterren?
deze resort ligt aan een prachtig lang zandstrand maar zowel de omgeving als het onderhoud ervan laat te wensen over ( vb.trappen terras naar zwembad in bouwvallige staat!) kamer redelijk klein en weinig comfortabel; vriendelijke bediening in restaurant maar povere kwaliteit van de gerechten; ook wifi in de kamer ( zie publiciteit) werkte meer niet dan wel

想像通り残念なホテル
良かったことは、プライベートビーチがあることと、スタッフがフレンドリーだったこと。 通された部屋は、併設のパブのすぐ近く。他の方がレビューで掃除はきちんとされていると書かれていたが、埃だらけだし、むしろ汚かった。夜、歌詞がはっきりと聞こえるほどの騒音ミュージックが12時を回っても終わらなかったので、「いつ終わるのか？」と聞くと、「2時頃」と言われ、もちろん部屋を変えてもらった。同じタイプの部屋だったが、不思議と2つ目の部屋はキレイに掃除されていたし、騒音も一切聞こえなかった。値段から期待はしていなかったが、元々はキレイなホテルだったろうに、今はただの残念なホテル。

Pros: 1. The recreation manager
Pros: 1. The recreation manager on duty, Eddy, was very friendly and despite only my two girls were there when it was time for the colouring competition, he still went ahead and brought out the art supplies. 2. The long stretch of beach is clean and nice. 3. Knowing the standards of hotels along Cherating Beach, I was pleasantly surprised to find the room (and particularly the bathroom/toilet) was cleaner and expected. Cons: 1. The hotel was running on full occupancy and they ran out of towel, shower gel and soap. We called few times for the towels only to be told the towels would be delivered to us once the soiled ones were laundered. I find it incomprehensible for a 4-star hotel to run out of towels! The shower gel and bath soap never came but luckily I brought my own so I didn't make a fuss. 2. Selection of food at breakfast can be better.
