I have traveled to Atitlan before but never to Santiago. The hotel is located conveniently near the main port to catch public/private boat shuttles, and is near the bustling side of town. Santiago is predominately residential but has it share of restaurants and shopping that are run by Mayan business owners; something not often found in other towns. Santiago was definitely quieter then most Atitlan towns, and is safe.

The grounds are lovely but there are many old cement fountains which need repair. The rooms are spacious and comfortable however the floors need a thorough and regular cleaning. All staff were amazingly helpful and welcoming.

We love this property. The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean. The grounds are amazing.

Besides gps taking me down a one way narrow street, getting to hotel was easy. They have onsite secured parking. The hotel property is spacious and maintained well. They arranged a local tour guide which was nice, but cost extra and worth it. We ate at restaurant onsite for three meals good food and service. Definitely recommend!

Wi-fi not so good
The grounds are beautiful. Rooms are large and clean. Wi-fi in room only worked first day. Wi-Fi in restaurant worked every day. Excellent staff.

This place is beautiful! It is a sliver of paradise. The staff is excellent as well. Many of them spoke Spanish and English.

We got very disappointed with the hotel, I booked a room for my family a week early of their arrival but when they got there, the hotel already sold our room to another people and wanted to give us a room with no doors. Be careful when you book with this hotel.

Considero este hotel tiene una muy buena vista al Lago Atitlan y los volcanes, muy limpio y amplio. desde mi perspectiva es un hotel apropiado para familias de preferencia con niños por la piscina amplia que tiene y que todos permanecen concentrados allí. los alimentos muy buenos, únicamente me llamo la atención que a pesar de tener el personal necesario se tardan demasiado tiempo para servir los alimentos, al parecer cuando se les llena el restaurante.

The hotel has a beautiful view of the San Pedro volcano....the food was excellent... and the tour guy they appointed us was very knowledgeable of the town history

No fue posible llegar al lugar
Debido a que no estaba descrita la forma de accesar a este hotel no fue posible que nos hospedáramos ahí. Teníamos planeado llegar en automóvil, pero el acceso vía terrestre en un automóvil era imposible. Según las instrucciones de los locales se necesitaba vehículo de doble tracción debido al estado de la carretera y el modo más común de accesar era por lancha, dejando el vehículo en Panajachel, lo cual no nos sentimos cómodos en realizar.

Hotel is for sale
Reasturant was lacking proper service, breakfast cold, soup tasteless, diner was over cooked. Towels need to be replaced. Area around hotel is not that pleasant to go for walks. Stayed only two nights but was planning to stay longer.

Looking for a peaceful place .
The hotel is not far from the jetty. It is well laid out with beautiful gardens,swimmingpool,spa pool. The scenery to the lake and volcanos are great. The room was spacious and comfortable with balcon overlooking the garden and pool. Restaurant is great for breakfast and other meals service is great. They are all friendly and very helpful. Walking trought the garden is great with all the different trees and flowers. The vege/ herb garden for the restaurant. Walking to the end of the garden overlooking the lake and in the evening there us an open fire roaring,sitting around with a drink is very relaxing.
