I stay in the hotel often (over 30 nights this year, so far) Front desk is always very pleasant and rooms are typically nice and quiet, although beds could use some new mattresses. Also two days I did not have much hot water, apparently a boiler problem.
I will say I was surprised at the rates showing up for this time of year. Typically they have dropped to off season rates which are much more reasonable ($110-$135per night). This year they have hardly dropped at all ($200-$220). There were 5 vehicles in the parking lot during one night of my stay. After asking many staff they all agreed it had been very very quiet. This is not because of time of year, as much as it is a reluctance to go to off season rates.
If Copper Point does not reduce their prices soon to offseason rates, IMO it would make it difficult to keep staying there as there are other nice places in the valley providing more value.
This would be a shame for much of your staff who ultimately will be the ones paying the price.
I have had some wonderful trip to Copper Point and the valley, and have always left feeling I have received full value.
I did not get this feeling after my last stay.
Hopefully management recognizes some of the shortfalls and corrects them soon. Lovely resort, with great staff, but value isn't there anymore.IMO
