Over all we were very pleased. Our only 1 small issue was the glassware was dirty. Nothing a little soap and water could not fix. We did love our room and all the amenities. We would go back there.

A hidden gem!

Our stay was wonderful. The room was small but was perfect for our family. It served us well! the beds were comfortable, coffee maker (and condiments), refrigerator and a bathroom where there was enough room! And so many towels! We met Seth and his wife and they were lovely! We look forward to staying there again soon. It is centerally located and was only 6-7 mins from our friends!!

The property has a rustic appeal and it's like a throwback to how Inn's used to be. I can see they do a good job maintaining the grounds and the staff is very pleasant.

Very nice property located right on the lake; motel rooms are small but neat and clean, efficiency rooms are larger with small kitchenettes, which might be the better option for longer stays. Close to Promised Land State park and lake Wallenpaupack.

Beautiful lake-side spot!

Our studio-cabin at Lake Mocatek was perfect! Full kitchen, great bed, and it even had a little patio with a table and a lounge chair. In summer, sitting outdoors would be ideal. Hope to visit again in warmer weather!.

Nice and quiet chalet

We stayed at the chalet, it was separated from the other rooms which we like & perfect for us. It was nice and quiet, had everything we need with 2 separate bedrooms and a full kitchen. It looks exactly just like the pictures, outdated furnitures but clean. The WiFi wasn’t great. The lake would have been really beautiful without all the algae in it, they have a little nice picnic area facing the lake. The owners, Seth and Nina were really nice.

Every room has a front view of the lake. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The hospitality was great! The WiFi was not the best while we were in our room, which made browsing the web looking for things to do and ordering food a little hard, but it was nice to “unplug” for the weekend.

Sweet place right on a lake. Cold night when I arrived late and the owner was waiting up for me. Great cable selection if you’re traveling with kids. I will return when it’s not so cold.

Beautiful setting. Disappointed there was no door to the bedroom. Toilet was very low and hard to use for those with back issues. We would stay there again. :-)

The room that you are referring to is a unit with ample space for comfortable stay but with no actual door between sitting (living) area with kitchenette and the bedroom. The living area has a pullout sofa (for additional person to sleep if needed) but is not meant to be another bedroom. However, we have units with two or three bedrooms (two or three-bedroom chalets) that may better suit your needs. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you back soon!

Fantastic Experience in the Poconos....

This place is fantastic! Came from NYC looking for a rustic experience and we got it here! Our own kitchenette in a 1 bedroom apartment-like setup which had a stovetop, fridge, microwave and sink... The property comes with awesome views overlooking the lake and is so tranquil and serene. The owners are so friendly and welcoming! I plan on returning many times in different seasons and trying the different chalets as well. -- If you're looking for an updated modern hotel, this isn't for you! But if you'd like an immersive rustic Pocono Mountain experience, this is a must try!!

VERY deceiptful pictures

This is the worst hotel I almost stayed in since I was a broke kid. I don't know where to start. Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if the pictures had not been so beautiful. This place looks nothing like those pictures and it is filthy. The rooms are run down and the bed was an old inner spring mattress. I had work I had to do while I was there and the wifi doesn't work. This place was so bad we checked out 1 hour after we checked in and actually paid for another hotel room. They did not refund our money despite the very misleading information on hotels.com In addition it was my husband's birthday trip. What a bust!

We are sorry that you were unhappy. All pictures posted online are real, unedited, and they represent every room and every detail that you can see when you check in. All our rooms are clean but for cleanliness we'll let other guests to speak to that, as they did in hundreds of reviews online especially praising that aspect their stay. We also wanted to point out that you had booked our least expensive (basic) room and did not bring to our attention any concerns (that you mentioned in your review) so if the bed comfort was a problem we could upgrade you to a room with higher quality beds (based on availability). Your statement about charges is incorrect as you were not charged the full amount for your booking, nor you requested any refund that was charged in accordance with our cancellation policy posted online (and that you suggested and approved when you checked out claiming that you are going back home due to work requirements). Thank you!

Ländliche Idylle

Unser Zimmer war eigentlich schon eine Ferienwohnung. Liebevoll individuell eingerichtet. Mit Klimaanlagen und zwei Fernsehern. Die Küche war auch prima.

Cozy, clean and quiet. This was my first time at the hotel and was very pleased with the accomadations, the room was spacious with a full kitchen,it was clean, with hard floors, no dirty carpets,always preferable.shower water pressure was excellent.Close to everything, stores ,resteraunts ,the lake. Will return to same hotel, same room very soon
