Dog friendly
Excellent accomodation which was dog friendly - lovely walks through spacious gardens and small woodland. Service was also excellent - staff helpful and polite. Dog basket - bowls on request, blanket towel and sleep pad. Worth taking your own dogs beds but these items were useful and practical. Only consideration for next visit is my elderly dog struggled with stairs and I would request a ground floor room if available as no lift

Service excellent nothing to much trouble.Ate at hotel all three nights excellent choices and well presented.Deserves it AA rosettes. Bedroom and en-suite a little tired but wouldn’t stop us going back. WiFi a little indifferent but coped.

Worth a stay if in the area.
Lovely looking hotel in beautiful surroundings. Room was nicely decorated and overall service good. Ideal for business or small romantic get away. Food was decent but a little overpriced for quality even on hotel standards.

A quiet hotel with very friendly staff.
We stayed here for two nights so it was a short break. The weather outside was very hot, but it was comfortably cool in the hotel.

Short Stopover
Expensive for what was on offer.Have had better breakfast at cheaper hotels. Bed rather hard.

Outstanding service
Set in beautiful countryside with stunning views, amply sized rooms and excellent customer service. Extremely brilliant at catering for a guest with Coeliac's Disease- even supplying gluten-free biscuits in our room.

Nice country hotel set in head of valley with great views. unfortunately second night spoilt by noisey guests in the early morning.We did not think that evening meal in restaurant was good value. Overall we would recommend this hotel subject to comments above.

Beautiful hotel, staff very friendly, helpful and pleasant, would definitely stay again. Internet not very good but this meant we could speak to each other. Excellent surroundings too

Still can't get Wifi
Been here a number of times and my complaint is always the same. I cannot get Wifi in the rooms or the communal areas. Its fine in corridors or reception but I cannot work, its no use. For the amount you pay for this place, this is becoming tiresome.

Great surroundings!
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. The areas around are well worth a visit. Nearby town very quiet and small but they are beautiful towns less than 20 mins drive.

The worst restaurant service ever!
My wife and I came to the hotel three days ago. As there are no restaurants nearby we decided to have dinner at the hotel. The waiter barely spoke English and it took twenty minutes for each course to be served. Our dinner gf seven courses lasted over an hour and a half. I live in New York City and I eat in restaurants more than I do at home. On top of that the food was mediocre and highly overpriced. This was a horrible dinning experience!

Great Find
We are so glad we where stuck for short notice accommodation and found this hotel. Falcondale was a fantastic find, lovely quiet location, staff that cannot do enough to make your stay a pleasant one. Hotel is an authentic old mansion, however is very clean, comfortable with expected room amenities. The evening meal was fantastic and breakfast equally good. A real find for us as we appreciate service, setting and excellent food. Will be returning on our next visit to south Wales.
