OK But.
Reception, check in and dinner service were efficient but impersonal and ‘distant. Food at dinner and breakfast was very good. Anywhere that serves fried bread, black pudding and crunchy nut cornflakes is ok with me. Our room was very big but lacked any kind of cosy character. The beds were bouncy but strangely too firm for me. It was spotlessly clean as was all the hotel. But why were the tired looking Christmas decorations and Christmas tree still up?

Great Stay in Lovely Setting
We stayed overnight here to break up a journey and could not fault it. The staff were great and the food very good. Rooms a little dated, but spacious, comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay again.

Good hotel and good value for money
Excellent venue. Breakfast was very good. wide choice . Stayed as seeing friends. Very comfortable bed. And good value compared to most hotels around. Stayed here several times and will be back.

I stayed one night at Garstang Country Hotel with my sister in late November in a downstairs twin room. Ample parking right next to the hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, warm and quiet with a sizeable bathroom and excellent shower, along with a superior hospitality tray. We had both an evening meal and breakfast at the hotel. There was a good selection of food and it was all very tasty. Very convenient to have these food options on site. Staff were very friendly. In looking for somewhere to stay in the Garstang area I noted that some reviews for the hotel commented on the decor being rather old fashioned and tired. I guess in some ways the decor might be considered more traditional, but I thought the hotel felt smart and was clean and tidy. Overall very happy with the hotel and would stay again.

Great value
Excellent value, lovely staff. Huge comfy bed. Good shower. Very good breakfast. Fixtures and fittings are outdated and a bit tatty, but this is reflected in the highly reasonable price. Only thing that actually affected my comfort was the side lights in the bedroom weren't working so it was airport-bright or pitch black, nothing in between.

Amazing stay
Amazing bargain stay. Staff were lovely, food excellent. Hotel is slightly tired but clean spacious rooms and everything you could need, even down to a usb port for charging phone. Free Wi-Fi was good. Bed was super comfy, will def return if in the area

Nice helpful staff and the public areas were fine. The room was quite dated and dull. The bathroom was clean and the bed comfy. There was a line of thick dust around the edge of the carpet - need a better hoover with up to the edge cleaning!

Fantastic hotel and amenities. Went to travel into and out of Blackpool to see the illuminations without having to stay in Blackpool

Rooms are a little tired and dated. Coffee machine hadn't been emptied of used capsules however fresh coffee capsules were not provided. Booked an executive room, however nothing was executive about it. Breakfast was ok, pastries were replenished when finished.

Value for money
Good , quiet location in the middle of a golf course . Good food . Clean , plenty of free parking , comfortable bed, friendly staff . Not so good - no heating in the bathroom, ( room 25),towel rails not heated or not working. No iron or ironing board in the room .

Not great for business visitors
One night stay on business trip. Reasonable room for the price but wi-if was terrible which when on a business trip is not helpful. Not even a decent phone signal either so hard to get any connection. Food was nice.

Very comfortable hotel in country style. Fabulous views over the golf course. Meals in the restaurant good quality and reasonably priced. Good choice at breakfast.

Food should come with a warning sign !
We thought we had really hit the jackpot, until dinner, it was a very basic menu, but I must admit tasty. Then it came to breakfast, I like continental, but there was no pastries left, the lady said it would take about 15 mins so I waited. She came to our table with 6 MINI pastries, she asked me which ONE I would like, I picked 2, and said my husband would like 2. So she walked away with 2 left. Now as a special you only charge £10😂 instead of paying another £55 for a mediocre dinner we decided to go to sainsburys for a sandwich, with crisps and a bottle of pop £7 for 2. Next morning I asked for pastries and was told very curtly it would take 20 mins, so I had tomatoes and bacon. I say bacon it was like chewing a frisbee, and would it kill you to supply TEAPOTS, instead of just giving us a teacup with a teabag inside. Your hotel was lovely but your food should come with a WARNING sign.
