We are so glad you enjoyed your stay here and were able to take advantage of some of the amenities provided and especially the view. We appreciate your feedback about the mattress and will look into it. I know firmness level of a mattress is a personal preference but we will definitely check it out and the frame as well. Looking forward to seeing back again someday...hopefully for longer next time...one night is never enough and Guests always wished that they had booked longer!

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I am sorry that your expectations were not met. I believe that when I spoke with you on the phone, I recommended that if you wanted a room with a view, that you take one of the suites on the second floor. We always make a point of explaining to people that because this particular suite is on the lower floor, it does not have as nice an ocean view as the upstairs ones with decks overlooking the ocean. They are only $20 more per night but they have a million dollar view. This is a protected area and therefore we are not allowed to cut the dune grasses which partially obstruct the view. I am sorry that you did not find the bed to your liking. We understand that this is a very personal preference and while most people find it comfortable...it is a top of the line mattress...we realize that we can’t please all of the people all of the time. We do not have air conditioning because most people prefer the fresh ocean breezes through the open windows and listening to the waves instead. We are glad that you liked the Common room with the Hot Tub, pool table and games. I think your children enjoyed it :-)

I am sorry that you didn’t find things to your liking here. Being right on the ocean, we hardly ever need air conditioning because there’s usually a nice ocean breeze and there is also a ceiling fan in the room and we can also provide portable fans if needed. The temperature of the Hot Tub is definitely a personal preference, we usually keep it not too hot so that people can stay in longer if they wish. There is a ridge of beach stones between the sand dunes and the sand on the beach which most people don’t seem to have a problem with. We are unable to do anything about this, because it is part of nature and anything we have tried to put there, gets washed away by the ocean. We feel that we are giving good value for an oceanfront Suite with a deck overlooking the ocean and stunning ocean views, a whirlpool bath, a fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchenette. Plus, the recreation area with the Hot Tub and pool table, complimentary bicycles, boogey, boards, beach towels & chairs, outdoor and indoor games, bathrobes, tea and coffee supplies.

We are sorry that you found the kitchenette under equipped. We do advertise that it is a "kitchenette" as opposed to a full kitchen. It has a 2 burner hot plate, a half-size fridge, a microwave oven, a countertop convection oven, electric fry pan, toaster oven, kettle, coffeemaker, dishes, pots & pans, cutlery, linens, etc. Our decor is designed to impart a cozy, comfortable, seaside feeling. It features custom seashell upholstery on the couches, seaside themed bedding and linens and also some handmade or decorated seaside occasional tables. Depending on which suite you selected...some of them have a more romantic ambience than others. While we agree, this may not be considered "modern" decor, the majority of our Guests find it quite charming. Again, we are sorry you didn't find it met your tastes. Thank you for your feedback.
