My only regret is that we didn't plan a longer stay! This Chateau and the grounds are stunning. The resident manager, Pascale, was delightful, helpful and it was so pleasant to chat with her during our stay. She recommended a lovely restaurant in a nearby town and arranged reservations for us on a busy Friday night. Made to order breakfast, extensive honor bar with drinks and snacks, beautiful suite and common areas and very reasonable pricing; you can't go wrong with Chateau La Remetiere!

Wonderful hotel!
This is a wonderful castle that I highly recommend, 1000%! The attentions of its manager and receptionist, the marvelous room, the breakfast (note: it's not included in the price - Hotels.com provides misleading information). Everything there is elegant and cozy. It was a marvelous experience!

We arrived at the Chateau an was greeted by our hostess who let us in the electric gate. She warmly welcomed us and showed us around the beautiful historic mansion. We were on the third floor but had a scenic view of the valley from our bath and bed chamber. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our host made us reservations at a local eatery. I enjoyed a deep tub jacuzzi bath with full bubbles . Then joined my husband in the salon where he played their grand piano. Our hostess joined us for the concert. Lovely treat hope to come back in the future!

MAGNIFIQUE. Rapport qualité prix imbattable.
Lieu magique. Hors du temps. Nous avons adoré l'accueil, la suite Charles de Gaulle immense avec une vue magnifique sur le parc, le pti dej délicieux ( ma femme coeliaque a eu du pain sans gluten), le salon immense avec des objets anciens partout, les conseils avisés de la propriétaire.

Peace and serenity
The château was on the top of the hill so you were loooking over looking down the valley and the scenery was spectacular. The rooms were spacious Breakfast was delicious. It consisted of smoked salmon, cereal, fresh fruits, freshly squeezed orange juice and Eggs any way you wanted. Coffee and tea was great. Are you Pane chocolate, croissants, and bread was fresh. We were about 25 min from Mont Saint Michel which we visited. This is where Charle de Galle stayed during his vacation.

Royal treatment in a country French Chateau.
Our stay at Chateau La Rametière was truly a highlight of our trip to France. The Chateau is on a hill overlooking a beautiful garden with an amazing view of rolling green countryside. Our room was impeccably decorated in French Provincial style and was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Our breakfast was a sumptuous buffet of meats, cheeses, pastries and fruits. The owner/host was courteous and friendly. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to someday return to this delightful place of rest and relaxation.

beautiful property in the country! it has old world charm with great modern amenities! Christine is a wonderful host! the bed is probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept on, great modern shower and jacuzzi tub! the rooms are large and spacious! lovely breakfast provided in the morning. just remember to pack light since there is no elevator (though there are only a couple of flights of stairs). would come back here in a heart beat!

Very friendly and nice host, incredible French breakfast (everything was fresh and delicious), gorgeous building, adorable room. It was one of the best experiences in this trip to France. If I go back to France one day, I will definitely stay here again. Also very reasonable price too.

Une arrivée tardive après 22h30 n'a posé aucun problème à l'hôtesse des lieux qui nous attendait avec le sourire pour nous faire découvrir notre magnifique cottage, fait d'une dépendance du château. Le lendemain, toujours avec le sourire, nous fûmes régalés par un petit déjeuner digne d'un palace parisien... Patés, fromages, charcuterie de toute sorte, vienoiseries, thé à gogo, etc... Seul, le calcul des frais de séjour semble avoir été truqué et trop cher de 2 € !

Beautiful mini chateau on a horse farm.
The hostess was wonderful and her dog, Noby, was a friendly respectful assistant. Our room overlooked the gardens and was clean comfortable and decorated with antiques. The hotel has been updated in keeping with its history. Breakfast was lovely and served in the dining room at the large table, allowing guests to engage in conversation. Wonderful gardens for wandering and very friendly horses in the pastures.

Fabulous !
We stayed for three nights and it was fabulous from start to finish ! The Chateau is beautiful inside and out. The bedroom and en suite were huge and wonderfully decorated . The bed was so comfortable that it was like sleeping on a cloud ! The owner, Christine, is the perfect hostess and couldn't have looked after us better. She knows exactly when to chat to you and when to leave you to your own devices. It is also a stud farm for Lipitsana horses and there are nine stallions there which you can see when you take very pleasant walks around the many fields. The breakfasts are so good that one looks forward to them every morning ! Christine gives you so much to eat that you don't need anything else until dinner time. However, for dinner you need to drive into the town of Avranches , about three/four miles away where there are several restaurants and cafes. We had a wonderfully relaxing time there and would definitely go back .If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing time, surrounded by beauty both in nature and decor, this is the place to go.

My granddaughter said she thought she had stepped into a Jane Austin novel. This is a beautiful location in the countryside and a wonderfully restored chateau. The owner was very friendly and our stay was delightful. Reasonably close to Mr. St. Michel but 5 - 6 km from restaurants. This was a treat.

Beautiful chateau in a pastoral setting
We had a very peaceful and comfortable stay at the Chateau La Rametière. The owner was a great host and the rooms were fantastic. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for a romantic weekend. They are dog-friendly too.

Beautiful experience close to Mont Saint Michael
This is just a beautiful place too to bottom. Close to DDay sites too. We were treated so friendly and felt at home. Breakfast was delicious. The room we stayed in was also the same that Charles de Gaulle stayed in once upon a time. Magical place!

Yes, it really is a Chateau
Absolutely beautiful home with stunning gardens and views. We stayed in the Pluto room with a king bed and an adjacent room with a twin. Very comfortable for a couple and a child. Even though the Chateau dates to the 1700's, the bathroom was very spacious and completely updated. Breakfast in the dining room was outstanding. Our hostess, Christine, was very helpful and friendly. Though the village, Plomb, is very rural, it is an excellent staging point for visits nearby to Mont St. Michel and the D-Day Invasion beaches of Normandy. A young couple from Amsterdam was there with their very large dog (so it's pet friendly) and they used the Chateau as their launching point for destinations throughout the Normandy region. Overall, our experience vastly exceeded our expectations and was actually a highlight of our vacation. We would return to the area just to stay there.

Great chateau - highly recommend
The chateau is simply beautiful. The owner is warm and nice, very welcoming and loves the guests and the chateaux. The rooms Are huge and each has something special, our room had a small inner -circular room that has a telescope to watch the starts in compete darkness. Breakfast was great as well. Overall highly recommend and great experience

Stunning home with incredible views of area
Amazing amazing place filled with antiques and lovely views/gardens. The owner/hostess was delightful and generous with her time and advice for how to avoid the lines at Mont St Michel. Our large apt room upstairs was perfect for three family members traveling together. Would LOVE to return and just relax on the back patio area and enjoy the fabulous hospitality.

We were extremely happy with our decision to stay in Château La Rametière, and we look forward to returning on future trips!! The property is graciously appointed, the owners were warm and welcoming, our breakfast was delicious, and the grounds were lovely to tour. We highly recommend this property it if your travels take you to the region. It's well located for reaching Le Mont Saint Michele for a spectacular day of sightseeing.
