We had stayed at this hotel before and although it’s an older hotel, it was convenient because of the kitchenette and cheap! However, this time was different. We checked into the hotel and found our room on the 1st floor, aka downstairs. As soon as we got down there, the smell was nauseating. The whole floor just smelled, funky? Just not a clean, welcoming smell.
We get to our room and as soon as I open the door, there’s the bathroom. DIRTY. Sink, gross. Toilet, disgusting. Shower, full of dust and what-not and no shower curtain? THIS IS FIRST GLANCE.
Go into the room, the bed isn’t made. Pillows on the countertops. DOG HAIR ALL OVER THE BED. Look down, cat LITTER, all over the floor. I mean, EVERYWHERE.
The kitchenette was falling apart. Drawers hanging on for dear life, mold under the sink. It made my skin crawl!
Here’s the BEST PART! We go to the front fest with our issue, THE HOTEL IS BOOKED. So now we’re screwed. Hotels.com won’t put us in another hotel because that’s “not their policy” and the hotel can’t do anything because they’re packed. Not only that, but the lady working the front desk immediately refunded us, leaving us with zero options. No one spoke to us, tried to help, NOTHING. Every room, was GONE and they left us high and dry with no where to go.
I’ve yet to see a single dollar in refund… This was Tuesday. 5/30/23 and it’s now 6/6/23 and I have yet to see a dime!
Never again!!
