This property had 24/7 access via the back door. It was never locked. Sat down in my room to eat my dinner & 1/2 way through a roach come on out crawling all over my food. There were bugs in the floor. My room was dirty and the breakfast was lacking.

There was no housekeeping provided. There was trash left out in the next door rooms. The people next to us were very loud fighting kids screaming all night long. We ran out of body wash. I requested more body wash in the morning around 9:00 a.m. come 4:00 p.m. it was not in the room and there had been no service in the room. When I called for it they lady told me that there was no housekeeper for the second level on sundays. Which did not explain for why the room was not cleaned the day before on saturday. She said I could come get soap downstairs. When I complained about this as well as the lights not working in the room due to light bulbs not being replaced I guess I don't really know why they didn't work. And the fact that the telephone was not even connected to the wall because there was no cord. She said that she did not do it. I explained to her that I understood it was not her personal fault. And that I guess we'd have to come down for the soap and the extra clean towels that we needed she hung up on me.

Pretty clean, fruit flies in sink, girl at front desk was nice, dove soap provided which was a nice touch…breakfast quite basic but ok….a dog was barking but not for long… recommended anyway…. Good price.

This was the grossest place I have ever stayed at. Run down, dirty. Smelled pot in the lobby and cigarette smoke in the common halls. TV and phone in room did not work.

We found dirty sheets on the bed and the tub had hair in it. It wasn’t the cleanest place.

They were remodeling, so it was noisy. Also the same people who didn’t work there were in and out of there all day and night with bags which made it shady. There was also the passing smell of Marijuana throughout the hallways, so it didn’t seem like they had a no smoking ban in place.

Unusal Stay
I have stayed at this hotel many times, always with a satisfactory stay. This time it was awful. The room was dark since it only had on light bulb instead of 4. There was no chair to sit on to eat. No toilet paper. The remote did not function correctly. The heating unit was malfunctioning. The shower faucet when the new shower was installed, they ran the pipes to the wrong connectors...Red was cold and blue was hot. The doors on the shower were reversed making it difficult to get in. The refrigerator did not keep my food cold.

In the process of renovation so walked through construction of rooms en route to ours. They quit working at 6 as we were told they would. Our room was very clean. Our refrigerator did not cool although it was set on the most cold setting possible. Lots of ice collected above freezer section. Will report on check out. TV messed up and could no longer change channels. Will report on check out, as well.

This place was just dumpy. I was given my room key, went to the room, and left after about 10 minutes. I didn't even stay or sleep in the room -- just could not do it. I booked at a different hotel and stayed there. I returned my Microtel key the next morning. For anyone considering this hotel, I would advise you to just sleep in your car. It will be an upgrade.

Close to Rupp arena, the venue i was going too. The room was average and clean,but i have an extra 100 dollar charge to my card and i have not been given a reason will follow up with the hotel. I paid 145 for a Saturday night stay right now it looks like i paid 245. Could have stayed

The person that checked us in was frazzled and would answer his phone, poor customer service. The frig smelled, room was not finished from redo, spots not painted. Had to get multiple keys because because it would once and then not work.

The entire hall where our room was located smelled of fresh smoke. I appreciate the remodel on the rooms. However, the room was clean but there is no amount of kilz or paint that can mask the smell of smoke. Staff was nice. Definitely not worth the $180 price tag regardless of the busy weekend in Lexington.
