The location was very nice, having the ocean right in front of the hotel and close to the center of Cascais. The service and the hotel room were not satisfactory enough though. Our room had a plumming issue for a full day and the moved room also had water flowing issues. The concierge was not super friendly or supportive which was subpar from what I expected for this level of hotel.

꼭 한번 다시 가보고 싶은 호텔
전 세계 다양한 호텔을 다녀봤지만 파롤 호텔만큼 독특하고 멋스러운 호텔은 못 봤던 것 같다. 로비의 다양한 예술품부터 가구 하나하나까지 정말 너무 멋있었고, 수영장 및 조식도 너무너무 좋았습니다!

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. From check-in through to the end, every single member of the staff was friendly, and made the stay feel personal. The rooms are beautiful, but cozy, and the view of the water is spectacular. The breakfast every morning was so nice, and the bar was a relaxing, fun place to visit. It is very convenient to everything, but off the beat and path enough to be quiet. They even had bikes for us to ride! I would highly recommend this hotel.

This was the nicest place to spend our 30th anniversary, staff were amazing, easy to walk everywhere, absolutely stunning rooms facing the ocean, restaurants are delightful

The hotel was exceptional. Great decor and an excellent location next to the picturesque Boca do Inferno and close to the Cascais Marina. Also very close to several museums including the Paula Rego museum. The staff were excellent, friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. We had breakfast included in our package and the selection was very good. Lots of choice, fresh and tasty. My friend and I are already planning our next trip!

Fabulous Farol hotel
The Farol hotel is a boutique hotel in Cascais. The hotel is on the coast and it’s fantastic to sit in the lounge and watch the waves crash against the harbour wall. The staff are super friendly and efficient. We had a side sea view room. It’s good to open the door and listen to the waves going up the gully. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was big with different jets. We ate in the restaurant and the food for lunch and breakfast were of a very high standard. Even my handbag had a buffet.

Best location in Cascais, wonderful staff and guest experience. They have both morning and evening turn down cleaning schedule plus they left Portuguese sweets and healthy drinks to recover from days tiredness. Highly suggested for staying with sea view and wonderful location next to downtown and marina

The property is located within 10 minutes from the town center. The hotel staff was very friendly and it has some beautiful views from the beach. Overall its a nice hotel

The hotel concept is innovative. Very well located to have a nice relaxing time while being able to go to town. However, even though the property needs a refurbishment, the rooms are quite nice and so are the amenities. Definitely would stay there again.

Excellent location
The location can't be beat. The bar and poolside area are fantastic. Service outside is friendly but a bit slow and seems confused. Daily breakfast is delicious with an incredible view. When you book your room, try not to get one of the rooms on floor 3 with a giant wood beam in the middle of the room.

Needs to make a much bigger effort
I booked 2 nights at the hotel as I had drinks there on my last trip to Cascais and it was so nice, I promised to return. Some things can always be ignored but for a highly rated hotel that has no problem charging high rates for B&B and drinks etc, it falls short on more than a few areas. Too much furniture in the bedroom (random sofa bed), poor quality balcony furniture, small bathroom, broken serving dishes at breakfast, pool area badly managed with towels, glasses and unfinished food left uncleared and loungers untidy. THe location is great and some of the staff is very nice but some at the front desk never had a greeting, or made eye contact. The hotel is trading on its location and a once good name, but needs some attention.

This hotel was fantastic. The staff was friendly & courteous, the grounds & facilities were beautiful & it was in a great location. We could walk into the city within 15 minutes, a 5 minute (even less) walk to the promenade with shops & restaurants... just fantastic. The pool staff was helpful & attentive. The on-site restaurants were wonderful - the sushi was delicious!! Breakfast each morning was wonderful. The room & view were gorgeous. I can't say enough good things about our experience at the Farol Hotel. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

The Farol hotel is a beautiful property with easy access parking for guests. Overall the property was very well kept, clean & staff were attentive and informative upon arrival. The restroom in our room could’ve been cleaner in the tub/shower, the towel rack was hanging off the wall, & when we needed extra towels housekeeping did not come. After a second call the receptionist handled it & apologized for the inconvenience. We enjoyed the pool, the lounge chairs, & the outdoor bar during the evenings. Unfortunately throughout our entire stay the indoor bar was closed. Some nights it was too windy to have a after drink cocktail outdoors so it would’ve been nice if the indoor bar was available. The espresso martinis were delicious! Overall we would return the stay was comfortable & accessible to nearby restaurants.
